I’m a huge fan, Norah. So happy to see you on UA-cam. And thank for you designing this in fisherman’s wool. I really appreciate that so much. I’m on a budget and wish more designers took people like me into account. 💙🐑
So very special, Norah, your skills and voice are perfect for this kind of presentation-and our model, we all love her!❤️👏 I look forward to seeing more!🧶🌻
So excited for this video Norah! I knit a number of your designs from your books in the past, and I've knit your Sunflower Tam more times than I can count. I fell in love with your cabled stag motif and am mentally preparing to incorporate it onto a cabled cardigan at some point in the future, like Jared Flood did. I don't know if I quite have the skills to make that work, but it's high on my knitting bucket list. Best wishes from Ireland
I agree with you completely about knitting bottom up when you have pattern stitches - it's much easier to set up your pattern before increasing or decreasing. Also love the alternate cable cast-on.
So happy to see you on UA-cam! Your cast-on technique is WAY easier than I thought it would be. Looking forward to your future videos... knitters will learn so much here ❤ love the new pattern too.
Hi Norah, I'm a huge fan of your designs as well. It's so nice to see a tutorial from you. Your cast on appears almost like a tubular cast on but looks easier to execute. I will definitely be giving it a try. I hope to see more videos from you in the future.
I’ve been a knitter for many years but had a few years of not knitting. Your Beagle sweater recharged my knitting and now it has become a bit of obsession ( to put it mildly). I’ll be doing this sweater for myself and also DH. I see his being done in rugged Briggs and Little Heritage.
Great to hear! I have a new Men's collection out with Berroco. You can purchase PDFs on Ravelry www.ravelry.com/bundles/mens-collection-collaboration-with-berroco
Just visited your sight, back to knitting after a number of years, and so many knitting now with the internet, like travelling the world ,style of knitting needle method etc, like learning all over again, will visit your sight often from Scotland. Love your design 🏴
Wonderful to see you here Norah, the sweater is beautiful, I liked being able to see the different versions. I found the tutorial on the cable cast on very helpful
Hi Norah, lovely podcast! I just finished a jumper for my daughter and I used the cast on you showed on your episode. I cast on in 2x2 rib. Cast on two knitwise and two purlwise. No need for juggling needles.
Beautiful, Love the explanation of cast on and the pattern is gorgeous. It’s especially nice that you have done pattern in the flat and I will try to get pattern but struggle with internet connection. Thank you for sharing.
Norah, what pattern is the cardigan sweater in your You Tube photo? I have been searching for it but couldn't find it. I am so glad to find you on You Tube.
For a man, make sure the sleeve is large enough in the chest size you choose. You can see that on the schematic. Also, the sleeve will need to be at least 3" longer and should be tapered to suit a man's taste.
Such lovely details! It's really helpful to have a designer point them out because often when we just see a picture of a sweater, we don't necessarily see all the interesting bits! I wonder if the front 1x1 rib panel could be converted to the 1x1 twisted stitch panel without reducing the circumference too much - my regular 1x1 rib never seems to be tidy enough so I always opt for 2x2 or garter stitch for ribbing. Especially if knitting in the round, one could always twist the knit stitch and purl the normal way. Do you think this may work? Thanks!
Great tutorial! AND lovely pattern! Looking forward to knitting it - Thinking of using the fishermans wool. Have you used it before? If so how is the durability? Thanks - Jenn
Ok. I can never understand how I get hold of a pattern in UA-cam. I have gone to the description page and there are several lines about Ravelry. Do I go there? Is there a link? Thank you

The jumper is beautiful!

Norah, what pattern is the cardigan sweater in your You Tube photo? I have been searching for it but couldn't find it. I am so glad to find you on You Tube.
I hope to publish it soon. The yarn is my own spindle spun, but I have found a pretty good subsitute in Berroco Milifiori lite (used double)
I’m a novice when it comes to knitting, can I can adjust this sweater to make one for my father?

I think you could twist the knits , but not the purls (if working in the round) without any gauge problems. Give it a try in a swatch.
Where do we get the pattern, please?
Yes, follow either of the links at the top of "more" above.

This is the only time I have every used it. I would say it is quite durable.

I wasn’t able to add a link in my description, something about me being new to you tube. So, please cut and paste the Ravelry link.
Thanks!
I have tried that. It just takes me to the Ravelry homepage.....
