@@user-po6hn9id1t what does that have to do with my statement? Altitude is usually measured in imperial units.
Also, the Mars Climate Orbiter failed because of a lack of communication between NASA, JPL, and Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin's code uses imperial units, since it is an aerospace company. NASA and JPL didn't check to ensure Lockheed Martin used the units they needed, and assumed everything was correct. While, yes, it was a conversion error that caused the Mars Climate Orbiter to crash, it was actually a failure of communication that led to such a failed conversion.

Dream With Reality With English like that you’re not capable of running a kindergarten classroom let alone intelligent enough so have a valid opinion about space exploration.

Bgeppy in the early 20th century the first aircraft was made 70 years later man landed on the moon. I am sure there was many who believe that planes were fake too, it was a waste of money and it was impossible. This guy is just another one of those idiots. I remember 10 years ago where people said you can never grow your legs or arms back when you lose them and robotics will never make arms like human arms. Now robotic prosthetics are everywhere and they are strong sturdy and can loft heavier things than a human arm. They are also getting more and more accurate. Just ignore this idiot. God didn’t make exploring a sin just their preachers did because they are scared of losing control!

@@zub41r75 Great insight! Although I'm not religious per say I was raised as a christian and just recently adopted a more scientific and skeptic way of thinking. Unfortunately, after learning more about the Bible through biblical studies courses at University, I feel that if God exists that we have strayed too far from what the Bible says creating a mass of hypocrites. In no way am I saying all Christians or any religion are hypocrites but this has been my conclusion from living in a relatively small town. I have nothing wrong with religion if that's what someone wants in their life but its just not for me.
