I've been doing this past 3 summers. Summer time only. Fill up washer fluid. First. Then. 2 or 3. Squeezes of dish soap in there. Let it mix when driving down road. Gets bugs off real easy. Saves on washer fluid... works awesome
I recommend using only one antenna for your CB. Tilt it forward, and your radio will still receive and transmit just as good. It's hard to get SWR's down with two antenna's.
"Sugar in Nashville..." Sounds like a country song. LOL! Still running - good! Is it possible to upgrade for bigger fuel tank size? Safe travels neighbor!
Doesn't the Cascadia have a built mount on the mirrors for the CB antenna? I did see one this week where it was a single mount on the back of the cab. What pissed me off on Thursday is that I had to be at my VA Medical Center in Asheville NC and I have to drive about 40 miles each way on I-40. There was roadwork going on in the Westbound side by mile marker 33 and only one lane open. Why they don't do this shit at night is still beyond me. Traffic was at a standstill. The coop was open on that side and it was also Blitz Week. Back to the CB part. When I was heading home I was stuck in that traffic. Here i am in my 4 Wheeler with a Wilson 1000 antenn.a I am listening on Ch 19 and i see these trucks with antennas on them and trying to help them out by letting them get in front of me to reduce the log jam. No answers. Some that did were to far back so it didn't do them any good. The FMCSA should make it mandatory for trucks to have a functioning CB Radio. Right now I am using a 40 year old Radio Shack CB and it works just fine. BTW my SWR is just about flat. Good luck with your son Ben's graduation. You and Rusty stay safe.
I would try taking out the top bunk and making a u-shaped self giving you headroom in getting into the seat of the table, which would give you more self space
He’s wanting to make the minimal amount of modifications to cab, and while i don’t know the exact plan details yet, it’s based on leaving the top bunk in place but always folded up.
@JohnHallgren yes this was just a suggestion for him to do that way and it could also be done so as to be put back in the stock configuration, was just giving my suggestion (opinion) on it but at the end of the day it is his truck to do as he likes it not mine
@@jamesmartin3895 and he’s open to suggestions certainly, but I believe his thought was removing the upper bunk (even temporarily) could be a challenge to do based on its size and weight. So working around it might be easier.
So thankful your truck is running for you. Takes a while to catch-up... Congratulations to you, Mary for getting another graduate. Enjoy your family time. Stay safe Mr Clutch and Rusty ❤️🙏
My washer fluid was leaking out of the rubber grommet for the pump, you have to buy the whole pump just to get the grommet. it is also leaking form the low level sensor, that doesn't come with the grommet. you have to take the pass side step off to access it. the 8 bolts for the top of steps , i think they are a T41.
I know exactly where you are parked. Also, I liked stopping there because the fuel lanes are always empty at nights. Easy to take my DOT break there. (I pulled doubles so was tricky finding a place to go)
Good to hear things are rolling forward.. I had a question in my head ), I wondered if it was a law that you had to have a passenger seat silly me and my wondering mind … sounds like you have it all figured out .. maybe you can build it high enough so Trooper can’t get in 😂 tell them no more DOT inspections ha ha ha ha !!!!
With the Cascadias they are either 123, 125 or 126. My pet peeve with them is in the wintertime when the wipers attract ice and are not useful anymore. I solved that by putting on a 20 inch blade, so the blade does not extend over the curve of the windshield. The blade stays flat and does not attract ice when it does not leave the windshield surface.
Ahhh, Kingdom City, MO. I used to stop at the Petro there quite often back when I had a Bid that went from Indy to KC 3 times a week. I used to get me a turkey leg there, they were SO good. Until, they started charging 13 bucks for them. ? WTF?
Congratulations to your son on his graduation. What a relief your truck is running good. What ever happened to your other truck? Did you trade it in? Oh yeah how do you like not shifting.
He’s still got the other one but remember, he said it needed an inframe overhaul and didn’t have the finances to do that now plus it would be OOS for a while to do that work.
It sounds like the Volvo. It's a bitch to get to likely a cracked tank just like the volvo😮😢🙄,, also finally got headset at T A, thnx, good choice 😊 still no litigation assistance 🥵😔
Why don't ya just fold down the upper bunk and turn that into storage, I'm doin that with my cascadia, tons of room up there, I even have my full sized refrigerator/freezer up there secured with 2 ratchet straps, then you can build some cabinets where your fridge is now at floor level
Why not? Because he needs the headroom created by that bunk being folded up to make use of the dinette area below it, ok? If you don’t have that setup on lower level, then you might not understand how being able to walk over and sit down using one of those seats at the table requires room to stand up and not crawl into those seats.
@JohnHallgren he says he is going to construct a shelf across that area that'll essentially allow the same level of headroom, I do understand because I have the same truck and I have plenty standup room in front of the dining area
@@a700hp but you’re saying standup room in front to dinette…that’s not the floor area that I am referring to. I believe the upper bunk, when down, blocks the ability to stand up right next to the back wall, true? And puts the dinette area in sort of a cave situation? If he puts shelves along back wall, he could still have the remaining two+ feet of bunk width to stand up directly from seats there,
If the shipper doesn't give me a seal or if the shipper doesn't ask me to put it on or or watch me put it on I just put my lock on the door that way I can check the load if I feel like it , the night before I get to the receiver or the morning before I'll put the seal on then. Just an idea if you need to get to that ladder 🪜
Congrats to your son on his graduation!
Glad your truck is running well……finally!!
Congratulations on your son’s graduation
I'm feeling old, wing windows and every truck a manual. No air and am radio you had a ride! Congrats Ben!

Great tip!
Good to hear about the truck
Always love the reenactments of scenes from Planes Trains and Automobiles
I’m glad the trucks run in for a good clutch. Take care pet Rusty for me.😎💯🚛

Glad to hear no Breakdown 😃
So glad you can relax now Clutch, is time to start making some money again.
Bee Safe out there
Hugs and cuddles to RUSTY
😘👋
Yes, thank you
"Sugar in Nashville..." Sounds like a country song. LOL! Still running - good! Is it possible to upgrade for bigger fuel tank size? Safe travels neighbor!
A possibility
That's one sweet load of sugar!

Glad to see you are finally out of the "Let's go to every repair shop along my route!"
😂
Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your journey with us! 🫡

LoL, as one of my teachers used to say, “you have to put the emPHAsis on the right syllAble…😊
Looking forward to borrowing some of your ideas for the Cascadia (2022) I drive.
Great that there have not been any more breakdowns! Hopefully that continues! Safe travels and good loads! G&L
Super!

Frosted shredded wheat, Honeycomb and Sugar Pops. LOL love it!
I 70 looks like a nice road to travel on
Its rougher than a corn cob .

In colorado it sucks

I’m actually headed to Aldi blvd to a business ( Tiashi) right down the street from Aldi Monday at 3 am.

The windshield fluid is probably leaking slow on the exhaust and evaporating so you can see on the ground. 🤔🤔

Positive thoughts are working 👍. Good luck at Kroger in Aurora CO , they are pain in the as
The best costco DC in the country is right next to that terrible kroger.

Heated wiper blades are a game changer

Your the best ❤
There’s a Blues song written about you I’m sure. 😂. If it weren’t for bad luck, you’d have none at all. I hope it goes better from here.
Congratulations to your son on his graduation. What a relief your truck is running good. What ever happened to your other truck? Did you trade it in?
Oh yeah how do you like not shifting.
He’s keeping the old truck for certain general parts since the trade in value wasn’t enough.
Truck still at home. Will either sell or keep in hopes I can earn enough for rebuild. Getting used to not shifting. Still weird though
👍🏻👍🏻
You mean Crashville lol
Swipe a screw from pax visor since it’s not going to be used?
If there's room. Put. 3ed fuel tank on truck 😊😊😊 or 4 th. Tank.
How's your Mileage with your "New" Truck? It seems to be a bit Quieter in the Cab.
Safe Travels for you and Rusty. 🤔😎
6-7 mpg
It's still running is always a good thing.
What type of fuel card are you using?
RXO and DIY Semi’z card
What d9 think about getting. 120 tank for one side ? You pick a side
What are you going to do...with the Coronado ?
Sell it or hope I can save enough money to get it fixed
Bro, you should have kept the OTHER TRUCK. This one is a MONEY PIT..
He’s still got the other one but remember, he said it needed an inframe overhaul and didn’t have the finances to do that now plus it would be OOS for a while to do that work.
I still have it
How often do you try to shift in this new truck? It took me a while to stop trying to shift.
After a few weeks I’m used to it now
How’s that fuel mileage compared to the old truck? Have you had a chance to check?
6-7 on new. 4-5 on old
You are adjusting your seatbelt often on video. Is it always like that?
I use the adjuster so that it isn’t always pulling across me. Ruins shirts
What are you gonna do with your old truck??
