    This is great info.
What would be great when building long arrangements is the ability to click on a group in the Arrangement line at the top and it jumps to that slide and show it. For example, a song may have many verses and choruses repeated in the arrangement but when the worship leader wants to start singing the 2nd repeated bridge, it is then a quick way to get to the Bridge slide rather than scrolling through all the slides while looking for the Bridge "tag".

You have saved me hours of screenshots and writing instructions for my worship pastor! It has been on my todo list for several months 🎉

We worked through a lot of this, and having a tutorial for our other volunteers is great. We used it to build arrangements for some new multitracks songs we were trying out; we named the new arrangements the same as the multitrack name to make it easier to identify.

When repeating a line or two at the end of a song, call it "Tag" instead of "Verse 5". Or if you have a separate Tag, then make a new group for that song called something like "Verse 1 Start" so there is less confusion. (don't save as a permanent)

That works. Thx for the tip.

Can I add slides from another song to this arrangement. For instance, building a mashup of two songs by adding the bridge of another song to this song, then back to this songs chorus and end?

I would make a new verse and copy those slides into it. Alternatively, you could do Song 1, then song 2, then song 1 again as separate songs.

Am I the only one who noticed that your verse 1 & 4 are identical? (Verse 4 is actually, "When we've been there ten thousand years ...")

Yep, I'd taught this same lesson with this exact same song and added a repeat of v1. I forgot about it until you brought it up.

Is there a way in Propresenter 7 to export a specific arrangement and not export all arrangements in a particular song?

    • @PaulClifford
      @PaulClifford  10 місяців тому

You could export the slides as text and import that as a new song, but why wouldn’t you want to not have the arrangements?

    Thank you much!
If the quire wants to mix multiple songs as if one, should I just create a song called mix or can it be done under arrangements?

It depends on how complicated it is.
Sometimes our worship leader will use a chorus of another song in another. In that case, it is easier for us to just copy in the other song chorus to the song that is the majority. Label the group so you know what it is.
Choir arrangements sometimes are medleys of two or more songs. Sometimes it just goes from one to another to maybe a final bit of the first one, in which case I might just line up the songs as separate song items, with arrangements for just the part of each song that they do. You can have two instances of the same song in the playlist with a different arrangement for each.
If it is more complicated than that, jumping around a lot between song parts, then I would make a song item named "Medley of x y z", and copy in the parts from each song. This may also be a good option if that arrangement is something that your choir does fairly regularly.

@@lighthousepreschurch Thank you so much. That makes sense.
