Just a suggestion but I’d get a right side handlebar mirror but put it upside down on the left that way you can have a good traffic mirror and keep your arm out of the view. 🛴💨✌️💕 stay safe!
the tubeless tires turn the Mantis 8 into an expensive nightmare instead of my dream scooter! the air tires, much less tubeless tires were a horrible choice to put on wheels that small, they're easy to puncture or damage and almost impossible to change without a helper. what's worse is there are no alternatives to these God awful things, I can't even stuff a fucking inner tube in there because there are none in that size whose valve bends 90 degrees.
Ok… UA-cam is getting ridiculous.. I’ve tried to make a post 3 times now so hopefully you can read between the lines because I’m not sure what UA-cam is rejecting. Ks A5 are decent for the price but Dmn are a quality above.. can get on the Am…zon or cheaper on ali … baba ….. last attempt.. or good luck 😔👍
I owned the Horizon. Still do. Had it for two years. Only problem is, it's too slow. In this day and age, you need something with duo motors and this way you are not a hindrance to caged drivers on the street. The cagers are constantly on their phones. My biggest fear was getting sideswiped by one of them. I have seen cagers sideswipe parked cars, for god’ sake. Now I own a NanRobot D6+ and no one passes me up on the streets as I can do 40 MPH+ Now I have the risk of speed, but I am very crafty and very familiar with all the roads I take. Another concern with a slow scooter is you are on the right hugging cars and what if someone opens their driver side door? BAM! You eat it. Take all this into consideration. Also, the battery on the Horizon is 10 or 13 Ah, not enough juice baby. Save your money and buy a duo motor.
About to buy this to be my daily driver to and from work. I'm not all the way thru watching yet so maybe you will answer this in this vid but I'm curious are the tires hard to replace? I intend to keep a spare tire and tools with me because I don't want to have to take a bus with a 70lb monster of a scooter
Excellent video and review - I'd really like if you could put about 200 - 300 mi.. On the Eagle One Pro as I'm very curious about the durability of the components. I've been reading about issues with the controllers failing and leaks in the hydraulic brake handles. Would be great if you could so a followup extended use update. I really like this scooter and want to be sure it will last if I buy it. Thanks!
Good stuff man, good and honest review of minuim range test... I kinda figured 18 miles would be it but it got a bit over that so that is cool. I don't like how the battery fluctuates, like my nanrobot doesn't do that he reads the power/volts aka battery down and dow until its at the cut off voltage,I don't think I could deal with that. I think had this came with larger battery it would have made a world of difference all around... Question, what is the max speed you were able to hit with the eagle one pro?
Was watching your video and saw the mountains in the back ground and was like hey I know those mountains. It's really nice to see someone in Utah using E-Scooters. So we need to get together because I am in your area and need some advice on what to get. Also do you use your scooter in the winter/snow? Also I sub to support since we are in the same neighborhood.
Tbh i was contemplating getting the Varla Eagle 1, till i found a scooter with a almost identical design on Amazon, but with even better specs for about $100-$200 cheaper. 3600w, 60v21ah scooter. Got it for $1500, reaches about 43mph, and ive gotten a little over 50 miles of range on gear 2 with eco mode & single motor which is still pretty fast. Went to gear 3, turbo mode on dual motor and i flew. Hit 44mph in about 9 seconds! Not doing that again, but its nice knowing u have the power there & hit it a few times. Make sure to wear good quality gear tho! I can recommend the seller i went with since a few other sellers on amazon sell the identical scooter. But basically its Nanrobots LS7 but unbranded. Got it from a US warehouse so it took about a week to get to me here in the states.
Not doing that again. Bullshit. It's only because you are not yet use to riding that scooter, once you break it in, you will be doing those 44 mph spurts, trust me but just make sure you do it on roads you know are clean and or roads you have tested and know it well for every nook and cranny it has, potholes, cracks etc. Cheers.
@@lunaticfpv17 hi, yes sorry for the late reply haha. I got it from a seller on amazon by the name of "tifgalop" . got the scooter in abouf 2 weeks, only modification ive done to is cover the grip tape with a different grip tape because i dont want the logo popping up and feel like a walking ad lol, aswell as the logo on the stem piece. Not sure what the exact scooter name is, but its the 3200w 60v20a model. $1400
I like your reviews. I want a reliable, comfortable scooter that can go 25 miles on a charge, enough for two typical round trips for me. I think cruising at 25 mph will be sufficient as I will be traveling on paved bike paths and rarely out in vehicle traffic on the street. Maybe the standard Pegasus with solid tires would be a good choice?
Could the vibration or wobble your getting be a problem with the motors not syncing correctly for lack of the correct term. Try it with a single motor top speed then dual motor top speed does the wobble go away? tighten spring rate if you can. then test again. High-speed wobblies are a no-pass go.
If you can keep up with the traffic, take the road. You're not inferior to cars and trucks. It's so much safer using the full lane. You also have that right.
Yup. That is my experience and I feel the same way. Ain't no one gonna sideswipe my ass on the street. It was my biggest fear on my little Horizon scooter, that and having to hug the right lane hoping a driver/person does not open their driver side door.
UPDATE!!! Varla seems to hear their customers when they speak. 😳From the way they improved upon their original scoots to posting a phone number on their website so customers can reach them. We were having issues buying one on their site because of their credit processing providers and Varla contacted me personally and worked with me until I finally have an EAGLE ONE PRO RED, on the way! And for $1,999 🤗 I will post my opinion of the scooter as a first time buyer
Try calling them!!! You will not get them on the phone even to buy one??? Do not trust a company that does not communicate with their customer. My first instinct is that Varla is shady.😳
wow. did not know this, but to be honest, I can remove the tire from the rim faster than I could doing the split rims screws. Although my scooter does have split rims.
Accidentally left in footage of me waiting at a red light at 9:58, you can skip to 11:10 unless you wanna watch me sit at a light for a minute. haha

I always enjoy your ride footage and also your interesting, inspiring, commentary.
My god I love this thing. I just ordered one can’t wait to get it. So cool
I bought two of them hopefully they come soon
Looks like they updated the battery recently, new models come with a 27ah battery instead of the 24ah you had.
Hey I was looking for a gd fast scooter do you have any in mind?
You should review the fluid free ride horizon it looks like a nice scooter!

Cant see the speed on the speedometer… also, how much do you weigh?

how many miles could one get in single motor mode in mode 3, also what is the top speed in single motor mode?
Did Varla give you a reason for the instability of the steering column at 40+ mph ?
The original Varla E1 is by far still a better choice!
not even close
WHAT DO YOU THINK YUMMI 11+ OR VARLA EAGLE PRO
Has Varla gotten back to you about it not reaching 45mph?
What is the best scooter you have tested in the 50 moh and above speed range ?
