I think this pattern would make a really cute boho belt to cinch in an oversized shirt or sweater. What would you recommend to close off either end of the pattern? I was thinking maybe a wooden ring and one end could feed through the other? I'm not sure about how to measure the right length of cords? I don't know I can see it, I'm struggling with how to make it happen. Thanks!

I haven’t made a belt before. A couple ideas come to mind. You could go to a second hand store and buy a belt that has a belt buckle and reuse it. I think the wooden ring you are thinking of is another great idea. Also… you could knot each end and have to fitting added and tie it together to put it on. I wish I could be of more help. I have making a belt in my mind… if I make a tutorial in the future I will send you a link to it!

I got confused by 1:23 when you mention 'now complete with the next 2 cords' as the video fast forward so I mess up the knot in the opposite direction.. can you explain how to tie the knots on the right-side, I can't get it looking the same as yours.

Hi Sarah. I do the first knot going in the new direction (from the middle) at 1:05. Once you complete that double clove hitch. Take the second cord from the right. That will be your filler cord… and use the same working cord from the last knot you completed. And do the double half hitch just like the one that started at 1:05. Once that one is done use the last cord on the right as the filler cord… and the working cord from the last knot you completed and make another double half hitch. (I use the term double half hitch and double clove hitch interchangeabley… same knot)
      I hope this helps!!!
