Suisei almost didn't join Hololive because she doesn't want to abandon her original avatar. Thankfully Yagoo agreed to such unusual demand . Maybe she already shown that much potential , she just need support to promote her talents.
Head cannon Sora used A-chan's connection as head staff to make it happen. ( Sora did say she recognize Suisei even back when Suisei was an indie) and A-chan have the power to make some big decision like moving Suisei to the main branch. Sora recognized Suisei's drive and eagerness to accomplish her dreams, something I am sure Sora, A-chan and Yagoo all want to support.
Suisei's probably showed up on japan national tv the most (and not just in a news segment). With her most recent tv appearance she was on the MUSIC DAY on NTV alongside well-known japanese and kpop artists. Her merch always sells out instantly and even has some of the most expensive products (looking at you mochidoru and weiss Stellar SSP). Maybe you can argue that she's up there because she has the effort, talent, brand image, and money-making power.

Showmanship, spectacle, charisma, presence, hardwork... It's honestly very impressive and commendable. Calli's "End of a life" and Suisei's "Ghost" talk about how much of a sacrifice and mental toll adopting this stage persona can be to the vulnerable human behind it, however they continue to power through it and push their fears back, displaying that drive that makes them aim to the top and become the undisputed number 1.
i like calli's red too i think its about how her career isn't going to last and it's a struggle but shes moved by struggle and her own sheer will to push it further
Korone definitely fits into the "powerhouse" slot for GAMERS. She's well known for her incredibly long streams, and she's certainly one of the best dancers in Hololive too. She's also a physical powerhouse too. She does boxing.
I would even argue Korone is an Apex powerhouse for gaming. Game devs love her. She's SEGA's Sonic Ambassador(has her own Korone dlc on Sonic Frontiers even) . Has voice acted in series / movie projects. Suisei is def on top of the HoloFoodchain.

@@MrNorker77I think the same way. Calli is addicted to working, like crack. She needs to chill if her body is giving her signs to rest or take a break. Can't blame her though, her content is pretty decent and consistently good(with very few duds, usually the experimental ones).
As a vtuber myself, I wish I had 1/10th of the raw talent and the tenacity that Suisei has. She has worked her butt off, and overcome adversity. She really is someone who deserves respect. Yagoo was very smart to allow her to keep her avatar, and join the company. She is an indispensable talent in Hololive.
I've never heard of you but I genuinely wish you luck, I hope soon enough you'll find your own crowd of people who would support you in whatever project/stream/activity that you do Just gathering enough courage to start is already hard (if not the actual hardest thing to do), so I think you're already better than most people just by being able to that 😊 remember that there are people who support you even though you can't actually see them!
There is also something that wasn't covered so far and that is 'the gamer', quite rare, but often comes with a lot of know how and behind the scenes organizing. Selen and Botan are the obvious examples (and I still wish we could get a collab between them), both support other members behind the scenes with tech and connections, both are very intelligent and both are pro level at games (basically any game they touch).
They were already covered in the first part. Botan and Selen are very similar to Amelia - the Leader. Gamer is different classification altogether, like Illustrator, or Singer, or Zatsudan Specialist Vtuber.
@@QRenjo I’m guess? But Botan and Selen weren’t mentioned at all in the Leader video and I honestly agree with OP that they’re both the powerhouses of their gens, especially with international audiences
Apex Powerhouse, I say there should be another category below that, for those who are the one who carry the whole agency. That category may consist of : Suisei... Not really because there's a lot of powerhouses in Hololive. Idol EN, I think currently Rin Penrose Phase Connect got Pipkin Pippa VShojo is Ironmouse VOMS Project used to be Pikamee Maha5 used to be Zen Gunawan Suisei's role as Apex is, she carry the whole concept of vtuber at this point, more than Kizuna Ai IMO. Her First Take performance introduced many new people into vtubing. Even channels that never really cover Vtuber before starts doing so after reacting to her Stellat Stellar performance there.
@@rm9346 Changing of era change the gameplan. And right now, with Ironmouse being the number 1 subscribed streamer on Twitch, she is undisputedly the apex powerhouse of VShojo. Pikamee was the only Vtuber in VOMS Project who speak English and reached out to global audiences. Henya unable to have the same impact in VShojo, although she is undiputedly the one who turn the image of VShojo to its current rather positive state, together with Matara Kan.
Confidence goes a long way, especially since you can see it develop even if that's how they always were as a person. Depressed Hoshiyomi strikes again.
Mouse is the powerhouse of Vshojo and I think that might have some do to with some of the others leaving, The company want all it's member to be at the same level as her, while not realising she is the outlier.
Yeah, Aloe had the talent AND the ambition to be the powerhouse of Gen 5, she had everything to be one of the faces of Hololive in performance and stage presence. It's really a sad thing that we lost such a talent like her
In Hololive, Suisei is truly untouchable atm. I know it’s not good comparing, but in terms of talent and success, she is leaps above the others even Calli. It’s like there is Hololive, and then there’s Suisei. They are two standalone brands imo at this point. So being the apex powerhouse makes sense and is deserving of a title. Sadly, I think Calli has already reached her peak but I’m more than glad to be proven wrong.
after Calli got the One Piece collab I also have a hard time thinking how can she do even better, but hey, I was never expecting the One Piece collab either so she can surprise us for sure.
I think the One Piece collab will open her a lot of doors, her song was extremely good, and I'm sure this is only the beginning to many very worthwhile collab she will get in the future.
The difference is Attitude. Despite Calli's putting herself out there with big collaborations and projects. Calli isn't exactly aiming to be a "Star" I am willing to bet Calli is very content with where she is right now. She still works a shit ton like the workaholic she is and isn't passing up any opportunity that comes her way, but I don't think Calli is particularly aiming for anything concrete like "Budokan" and she is just focused on making her Deadbeats happy and making sure she can be a gateway for greater opportunity for everyone else, like recommending Ollie to Oral Cigarettes. Sora is pretty much in the same boat, She has her "Yokahama" dream but also isn't too fuss about rushing to it and is perfectly content spending the long haul with her Soratomos focusing on being a solid ground for Hololive with her often being central to moral in events like Holosummer or when she gave a speech to all of Covercorp employees during one of the workshops. Suisei on the other hand compare to the two is a lot more aggressive with her approach. That's partly why she is truly unrivaled.
Maybe it was coincidence and Wikipedia editors just happened to be Hoshiyomis but I am pretty sure there was a reason why Suisei was the first Hololive JP member to have her own Wikipedia article (for Hololive overall however, I think Gura got one before Suisei tho).
I was thinking the same until the one piece collab. Idk for me personally that song and her voice was like a double level up lol, and when she sang it live I was like...holyshit!!!. So I think in Callis cause what she's really missing is producers or whatever that can guide her and direct her like they did with the future island. I'm excited for her new ep, Calli has the insane lvls of willpower and a bulldozer mentality lol so I think she has lots of growth left. I know she'll get that one album or song that'll truly send her into top of the top.
Sometimes all that needs to done is to see the audience reactions. For Holo’s 3rd fes, no body was allowed to cheer due to COVID, but when Suisei finally made her appearance there were several people who couldn’t hold themselves back. And when she performed Ghost after she had already performed Stellar Stellar (everyone else only performed one of their og song), there were more uncontrollable cheering while people online went nuts. Same for 4th fes, where the loudest cheers was when Sui made a surprise appearance with Shiraken on day 1. These kind of anticipatory buzz is grown organically, for performers who’s wowed the audience over and over.
i FULLY agree with ur opinions on Hoshimachi Suisei but when you mentioned that she's good at tech stuffs I can't help but be reminded of that time when Miko roasted her for buying a stream deck and not knowing how to use it and yet still put it on her desk and show it off to Miko with full smug
I very much enjoy this series. Though I always do find it funny how well the five man band trope applies to myth and how....less well it applies to Council (or CouncilRyS depending on who you feel like including in the group for the purpose of categorizing). ((TLDR for the rest of this post - I think Bae somehow wound up being both Leader and Powerhouse in Council/CouncilRyS. Also an aside about Kaela's sleep at the bottom.)) Back on the Leader video, I argued that I feel Bae is the Leader of Council. Which I still believe to be true (though I will admit she has a less strong leadership role than Ame does). As for Powerhouse....well in Council or CouncilRyS I feel like....this kind of just also winds up being Bae? (Less neatly working out the roles for five man band like Myth but...then again, fitting for a group where someone literally represents chaos I guess.) -She's either the best or second best singer of Council (some would argue Mumei is, I would disagree but *shrug*), but either way she by far puts out the most songs. (If we include IRyS I'm less sure on the technical skill comparison here. IRyS has put out more songs, but not at quite the consistent pace that Bae does (though I have no idea if that's a factor either of them have any control over). And Bae notably experiments with more styles and challenges herself intentionally.) (This is probably the category here where there's most room for argument, since I know I have a bias and when multiple people are very good at a thing, opinions get pretty subjective unless you're an actual expert on the subject. Which I sure as heck am not.) -She's probably the best dancer in all of EN*. I clearly remember how she was one of the surprise show stealers in 4th Fest. Heck they put her solo performance up first for Connect the World and again, best performance of the show as far as dancing goes. She also makes her own choreography. (*The only other person who can compare is Kiara. And maaaaaaaan do I want them to make a duet original song just to see them dance on stage together some day!) -Content wise.... well she certainly is just the most consistent at making content. Not only has she had the good fortune to not have to take long breaks the way most of the others in EN have (I remember one week or maybe a bit longer last year where we were basically down to something like two or three active members and Bae was one of them), but she also just streams literally (or at least as close as she can) every day every February. (As for her creativity and breadth of content, well still the best in her whole gen, but those are some of the traits I feel her make her Leader so I guess it'd be double-dipping to use them to argue for this role too. *shrug* Though you did bring up that kind of thing to consider for Powerhouse so.... *shrug again*) And just in general, if you were going to look at someone in Council (or CouncilRyS) and say "find the absolute unit here", I feel like it'd be pretty obvious the first person you'd look at would be Bae. Also, an aside about Kaela. She actually does sleep. Just not in the regular one long stretch at a time most people do. Admittedly I think she also only sleeps like 4-6 hours max a day still. But that's part of what makes it look like she doesn't sleep at all. (I mean that and the fact that her stream lengths are so long it seems like she literally doesn't do anything aside from streaming and doing literal life necessary tasks. Which like.... may be an accurate assessment? *shrug*) Girl's ability to function without sleep is wild. She recently mentioned on stream when talking to Calli that she slept about 4 hours a week in college sometimes. Though she also admitted she can't function that way anymore. (Just friggin imagine what *that* nonsense would look like! It'd be impossible for even people who watch just her alone to keep up with the vods, lol.)

I 100% agree with Polka being the powerhouse of Holo Gen5, however I feel she's undersold in the video. Polka is a top contender for the best entertainer in the entirety of Hololive.
Agreed, aside from being an incredible entertainer, people didn't realize her vocal range is INSANE only second to Kanata, she also has the most unique vocal in hololive, her experience in the vtubing scene is also unknown to some people, before hololive her activity started around the same time as gen 0, at the same time she's the senpai and kouhai, one of the highest and the Lowest vocal, if that doesn't scream powerhouse idk what is
@@ifdy1361 Agreed. If she wasn't making content online she could 100% have a tv variety show of her own. One needs only to look at Legend of Polka to see that she is absolutely insane when it comes to entertainment.
I hope you make another trope called: "The Legend": Vtubers that crashed on the Earth like a meteor, forever influencing the industry. I'm just making an excuse for you to feature Coco and Kson lmao.
It's not a troupe but my personal list based on your description would be coco, kizuna ai, ironmouse, fubuki/suisei, Neuro sama, tsukino Mito and vox akuma I really couldn't pick between suisei and fubuki, suisei impact on Japanese entertainment, like first take and radio is incredible but fubuki also spread vtuber culture overseas with her meme and talent, also unknown to some people. The first interaction between hololive and Indonesia is when fubuki agreed to do 3d collab with Indonesian vtuber, you can argue that is the last push that yagoo need to open an ID branch
Bae’s definitely the powerhouse of council. Her voice and stage presence is a couple tiers above her gen mates (not including IRys btw), and it seems she’s more driven with regards to her career as an idol.
11:07 I know you were showing Suisei for a while before actually name dropping her, but I was expecting it to be a long con and for you to say Kiryu Coco :p
From your explanation, I would say Amelia is also a creative powerhouse, though I won't argue that Calli outshines her Myth peers in the sheer amount of stuff she does. Glad you mentioned Roca too. I wasn't particularly interested in her before ENdless debut, but boy was I floored the very second she started singing.
I personally think ike is the main singer of luxiem. He's by far the one with the most technical knowledge on singing and music theory. A lot of livers go to him for advice. He's even done the mixing for some of the other niji livers covers. Shu is a great singer, but I don't think he has had any formal training and has yet to release a cover. Ike has an original song as well as several covers out.
I have a lot of respect for Polka, she’s definitely a better variety streamer than the rest of her gen but I think Shishiro Botan is quietly the powerhouse of Gen 5. She’s not only the most subbed and most watched but she’s also grown her singing and dancing tenfold since debut. She’s a gamer that made herself into a multitalented idol. She has a varied international audience, easily collabs with just about anyone and is one of the best gaming coaches and support for fellow Holomems.
kaela was literally talking about how she feels sick if she sleeps for more than like an hour while she was in vc on calli’s getting over it stream… that girl doesn’t sleep for days

I knew Suisei should've been mentioned at any point and no better way than to end the video with a bang. Her participation in The First Take and shutting speculations, her part in StartEnd where she literally started playing Apex Legends and still performed great for her first tournament, her solo concert; there are just so many things she's proved to be just extraordinary. And I do agree, even if it is a constant meme for some to just despise Calli, she's multitalented and still major focus on big projects that involve Hololive as a whole (which I believe it also should help the fact that she lives in Japan).
Who is the powerhouse of Lazulight? Cos I to me they each stand out in their own way, my only idea would have been maybe when Finana’s Tsunami blew up but I’m not really sure
I think Juniper Actias would probably count as a powerhouse, at least if she were in a group instead of being a lone vtuber. If I've understood correctly, she has e.g. made her own model and I dare say it's a higher quality than e.g. Suisei's original model which she made herself (though Suisei making her own model initially is still impressive).
nah dude. upd8 was a monster at that time. even if you exclude ai-chan, there's still many big names around like patra, haneru, meika, hal, etc. nobuhime was big, but you can't call her a powerhouse with that crazy lineup
@@andiezackyNobuhime is clearly the only shitposter between them. Editing and making creative videos, it is still rare to find this persona on the industry.
Kinda surprised Chloe wasn't in here either tbh, I mean, she might not be on the same level as Calli or Suisei in terms of sheer talent, but she can pretty much sing and compose by herself, and pretty damn well too lol; her singing range especially is absolutely fucked up IMO, where she manages to sing in both high and low registers without breaking a sweat, and change seamlessly between each register too, which requires a pretty insane amount of talent and vocal prowess to pull that off and certainly makes her stand out among her peers, at least in my opinion anyway :P
She’s a bit overshadowed (as is the rest of HoloX except maybe Lui) by the always streaming Koyori. The pink coyote is one of the top-10 most watched female streamers on the planet.
Personally I think both the storytime animation community the Brony community and the movie review community of the best examples of the powerhouse which is what I would like to call them the og Powerhouses
At this point I am convinced Calli and Kaela just don't sleep or somehow overcame mortal needs 😂. Yeah, and pretty much every field has it's Legends. People who defy expectations, push limits, and break records previously thought unbreakable. And for vTubing right now, it seems to be Hoshimachi Suisei 💙.

He's a hardworking Alien man too. The problem is that he's very busy and he's also very extroverted as hell. I have no problem with extroveted people, it's just you gotta get used to it.
While I am a deadbeat in Calli's albums I find maybe 1 or 2 songs that I like and a couple of single songs and in Bae's EP I like all 4 songs. It's probably more that I'm not really into rap or whatewher Calli is trying to do most of the time but as long as she likes it
Advent so far is HUGE, Shiori feels like the most inexperienced, but Bijou, FuwaMoco and Nerissa are just OP, hard to say who is the powerhouse of the group
Idk if u might have changed your opinion (since it’s been 6 months) but I think Shiori is kind of assigned the leader role of the group. As for the rest, still hard to say definately, but for now Its probably Biboo and Fuwamoco that’re doing the heavy lifting for the group. Biboo cause she’s joined Kaela on the grind life and the twins for being consistent on covers and streaming. Nerissa right now (as much as she’s my oshi) isn’t pumping as much as the two, though I suspect she might grow into it more as she starts releasing original songs (which is one of her main goals and the group transitioning to their Idol responsibilities in the future, cuz her singing skills are top notch, and we already seen from the start the group relies on her for performances. So betting it now, once Advent fully grows to being vets, the powerhouses would be Biboo for Content and Nerissa for Performance, with Fuwamoco being the Gura/Kobo of the group.
while Sora, A-chan, and Yagoo built Hololive from scratch, Suisei is building her OWN brand from a scratch by herself, .. i understand if someone wants to brag about her
Mostly everyone is, most notably Watame who has been doing it since day 1. Suisei just got the better opportunities, because her voice is better and she can talk better than watame, but Watame's grind to get those opportunities is no joke.
if anyone has ever seen the "The Abandoned VTuber That Made It" by Yiman, it's the perfect resume of why suisei is the true apex, but she needs no fucking introduction, just listen to stellar stellar for 5 seconds, and you become a hoshiomi
Eh, "The Story of Hoshimachi Suisei" by Aburage115 is a more comprehensive and imo better video (and indeed Yiman does link it in their description as the main source for his own video). Thought admittedly it being from nearly 3 years ago by now can be considered a reason to go for the much more recent video by Yiman (or Nousagi's own "How Being Stubborn Saved Hoshimachi Suisei") instead.
If Suisei is the apex powerhouse in performative side, I believe Pekora is also a powerhouse on content side... The sheer amount of watch hours she has is unbelievable, and while Suisei is matched with mainstream singers as her standard, Pekora also is on a different level being constantly high on watch time, beating regular female streamers and maybe in the level of the high perfomer in streaming as a whole. This came from a Hoshiyomi who starts watching Suisei since March 2020
I agree, but what makes Suisei special is that she’s starting to become mainstream in the entertainment industry. Her reach is starting to stretch outside vtubing.
Well yes, I agree to that, mentioning Pekora does not diminish the achievement that Suisei carved forever in internet. I'm just saying watch time is an important aspect for vtuber as a content creator, and should be taken into the account for the powerhouse. When the list of most watched female streamer came out and pekora is up there with the highest performers of female streamers, people took notice of that. I believe that is an achievement, right?
@@pannacotta9493it is indeed an achievement but suisei is just on another level because unlike pekora, suisei is reaching out to outside of anime and vtuber niche. @@michaelsmale4830 Yeah, it's a mixed bag. I love all the content and the person behind her put out, but can't help feel a bit afraid that she's going to push herself too much.
In the end (just like with Kaela) I think I have to trust them being adults and knowing their own limits better then I do (I guess management helps too).
And good for pointing it out, I've noticed that Calli's work ethic has inspired me to do better myself!
@@MrNorker77 yeah man I get what you mean we want what’s best for our oshi and management there is good for help the talents we love so I understand and respect your opinion about what I was saying and good on you dude 👍
@@MrNorker77I think the same way. Calli is addicted to working, like crack. She needs to chill if her body is giving her signs to rest or take a break. Can't blame her though, her content is pretty decent and consistently good(with very few duds, usually the experimental ones).
Risu is the equivalent of a sleeper build imo..
I've never heard of you but I genuinely wish you luck, I hope soon enough you'll find your own crowd of people who would support you in whatever project/stream/activity that you do
Just gathering enough courage to start is already hard (if not the actual hardest thing to do), so I think you're already better than most people just by being able to that 😊
remember that there are people who support you even though you can't actually see them!

That category may consist of :
Suisei... Not really because there's a lot of powerhouses in Hololive.
Idol EN, I think currently Rin Penrose
Phase Connect got Pipkin Pippa
VShojo is Ironmouse
VOMS Project used to be Pikamee
Maha5 used to be Zen Gunawan
Suisei's role as Apex is, she carry the whole concept of vtuber at this point, more than Kizuna Ai IMO. Her First Take performance introduced many new people into vtubing. Even channels that never really cover Vtuber before starts doing so after reacting to her Stellat Stellar performance there.
Sora would fit into the Hololive one, she was the one hard carrying Hololive until it blew up.
Vshojo could be Pik.. I mean Henya.
Personally, in ID Gen3, Kaela is not really the Powerhouse. She is the Leader, completed by Zeta as the Heart.
She's the powerhouse at least in streaming/gaming sense.
Wouldn't that be Kobo? I'm not done watching the video yet, but she sounds like a good fit.

Kaela POSTING 3 STREAMS A DAY LESGOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
hell yeas was waiting for that suisei worship, 10/10
I can agree that Polka is the content powerhouse, but my god she's the most underrated powerhouse out all of them with the amount of effort she push.
Mitocondria is powerhouse of a Cell
Luca Kaneshiro can also be considered a ppwerhouse in terms of singing. He has an excellent range from the covers he produces.
Also an aside about Kaela's sleep at the bottom.))
Back on the Leader video, I argued that I feel Bae is the Leader of Council. Which I still believe to be true (though I will admit she has a less strong leadership role than Ame does).
As for Powerhouse....well in Council or CouncilRyS I feel like....this kind of just also winds up being Bae? (Less neatly working out the roles for five man band like Myth but...then again, fitting for a group where someone literally represents chaos I guess.)
-She's either the best or second best singer of Council (some would argue Mumei is, I would disagree but *shrug*), but either way she by far puts out the most songs. (If we include IRyS I'm less sure on the technical skill comparison here. IRyS has put out more songs, but not at quite the consistent pace that Bae does (though I have no idea if that's a factor either of them have any control over). And Bae notably experiments with more styles and challenges herself intentionally.)
(This is probably the category here where there's most room for argument, since I know I have a bias and when multiple people are very good at a thing, opinions get pretty subjective unless you're an actual expert on the subject. Which I sure as heck am not.)
-She's probably the best dancer in all of EN*. I clearly remember how she was one of the surprise show stealers in 4th Fest. Heck they put her solo performance up first for Connect the World and again, best performance of the show as far as dancing goes. She also makes her own choreography.
(*The only other person who can compare is Kiara. And maaaaaaaan do I want them to make a duet original song just to see them dance on stage together some day!)
-Content wise.... well she certainly is just the most consistent at making content. *shrug again*)
And just in general, if you were going to look at someone in Council (or CouncilRyS) and say "find the absolute unit here", I feel like it'd be pretty obvious the first person you'd look at would be Bae.
*shrug*)
Girl's ability to function without sleep is wild.
I would 100% agree, Bae is both the Powerhouse and Leader of Council. And it's fine for one person to take multiple role tropes like that too.

In a not so distant future, she could even quit hololive or even this whole vtuber thing, be an actual singer and still did great because she's already at the level of playing with irl artist.
Pekora is the Queen of Streaming.
But I think Suisei can certainly claim the title of Queen of Vtubing.
All members of Luxiem are a league on their own tho, they all shine a lot depending on the content you want. I personally think they're all powerhouses lmao
