Hi Spooby - Should work great. Once applied, you can start glue/nail assist with R880 after 4 hour dry time. If using R850T, R851, or R859, you'll need to give it a 16hr dry. I would start with R880 after 4 hours and then switch to R850T. Any further questions, feel free to give our Tech/Training team a call at (800) 872-5515. Thanks!

Can the bona quantum adhesive be used straight onto a tiled surface?

Hello Scarlett - Please get in touch with your local Bona technical representative. Our Adhesives product manager has a guideline for applying over existing tile surfaces, which would also include Bona Quantum. Thanks for the question!

Hi, I used MAPEI Glue for engineer hardwood pre-finish in my old jobs, hard to clean, the customer buy RONA R851, what is the best option to clean over the pre-finish board? wait 72 hours to clean or clean immediately ?

Hello Humberto - You should be able to easily clean off Bona R851 Adhesive from the surface of prefinished flooring within 72 hours of application. Super easy to clean off when it's fresh, during application, with a rag wetted with mineral spirits. If there are thicker areas that are dried or smeared, etc., then gently remove with a plastic putty knife then rub remaining residue off with a dry microfiber towel; or rub off with mineral spirits. You'll find R851 much easier to clean off than other mfg's adhesives (especially when compared to moisture cured urethanes) - but also with tenacious holding power underneath. Hope that all helps!

Wondering - can I spread Bona 851 using a common paint roller

Hi @jameshallahan4376 - Definitely not recommended as you'll most likely end up with a ton of hollow spots because of uneven application. An adequate adhesive trowel can be purchased at most Big Box hardware stores (doesn't necessarily have to be a Bona trowel). A trowel application helps ensure even coverage across the entire floor (and under each board), and the ridges help ensure contact even over low spots, etc; along with a lot of other benefits.

CAN I REMOVE IT. i got it on some cabinets. It dried and i need to take it off. Please help.

Hi Tony - Which product did you get on the cabinets? The R540 will be most difficult (probably need to sand it off - then cabinet repaired); but R851 or R850T can most likely be removed with some mineral spirits. Use a plastic putty knife to gently remove any thick parts; then wet a terry cloth with mineral spirits and rub off any remaining residue.

@@BonaProfessional well it was R540. But be figured it out. We took a fresh sharp razor, and doing side to side motions (not slicing, the other way) we were able to take the big drops off. Then lightly scrubbed with glue thinner and then gave it a spray with a wood gloss finish. Good as new. And saved me 25k
