roddy rod is super dope. been a fan since I saw him rip it at beat society on the sp. dude is a beast on whatever he uses. that d'angelo joint was the shit.
Another slept on producer favorite...Roddy Rod, it's amazing how he still got skills on the turntables too, the Low Budget Crew always have something dope out, I wish they would put out another Maspyke album though
I totally agree with DJ Roddy Rod that DJ 45 King doesn't get mentioned today. Production on Queen Latifah's 1st album is amazing. His "Master Of The Game" LP (Tuff City Records) made huge impact on me. Recognize, people! Great video, great home studio!
DAMN...I love the way he freaked that guitar sample. Thats some of the dopest finger drummin' I've seen on here. I really feelin' the list of producers he named too. I think I'll go and listen to some Roddy production on here now. LOL
Are you fuckin kidding me, this is a Musician here people. I'm fighting the perfect boom Bap beat when I'm recording this dude is on some other shit, scuse my language but got dam
SP1200 going for like $5k these days, Rod! Damn shoulda never sold it... Remember Beatsociety in Philly? You loaded up the floppy disk and had the whole spot earthquakin!
he's right on the 1000. not that its that bad , its just doesnt have the feel. the early models had shit sensors and hard pads. the newer models just have hard pads. that can be upgraded though. prefer the sound of the 2000 as well. the 1000 is just more convenient in size and storage, unless u have the mcd
i have a 1000 ,its still a great piece of equipment and i actually like the small pads but they really bricked on the pad sensors n separate pads , unless you have the bk-n. then they hit you for 180 bucks for the new ish. the 2000xl is better in many ways but the 1000 with any jjos has it beat in features and can be had for cheaper usually. ive been following boonie for years, he's all software now. still making dope tracks though
@SeriousBlack1011 I had the opportunity to work with Roddy. Great Dude! Chk out my BEHIND THE BEATS filmed by Gadget for DigitalHustleFilms. PEACE! ~ Logikbomb (DC Producer)
@jackbond64 So I waited for the 10min mark thinking it was gonna be some booty shit and damn did I feel dumb for ever thinking that. You're right homie, that 10:00 mark was FUCKING INSANE!

man i wish SP 1200's were not so expensive these days or rare
With the pad fix the 1000 is virtually the same of that of the 2500
The Pad Fix, JJos, it's basically the dream machine
Im happy with it. The only major advantage on the 2500 is the 8 outputs.
whoever thinks this joint don't rock don't deserve a computer
