Hey Marty! I realize you'll probably never see this but I'll mention it anyway :) You're a fantastic teacher and I've learned a metric ton of stuff from you from theory to practical. I had the pleasure of checking you out in the Village when you were in New York as well and it was a really fun show man, my wife and I had a blast. Anyway, keep rocking man and please don't stop making lessons here and also on your Marty Music sight, thanks!~
Marty, As a lover of Rock 'n Rolls foundation "The Blues" this is an awesome lesson. You're teaching not only soloing, but fills, and tweeners. If my ears are hearing correctly, this a classic, very revered Lightening Hopkins style? Thanks ever so much as he's a legend! Bless you for enhancing all our music and blues knowledge!! 🎸✌️🙏
I love blues locks like these. Never been able to make it sound “right” though when I was younger. I played some in high school and college 25+ years ago, but was never very good in my opinion. Picked my guitars up again about 2 weeks ago after not playing since college. Going to try again. Hoping it will stick this time and I will notice some improvements and not get bored with it.
I like your UA-cam lessons, they are easy to follow and full of information that is above and beyond your standard class. I do like it when the tabs are on the screen, but Ultimate Guitar Tabs uses your videos a lot, so that's a great reference when needed. I like using the slow-down function on UA-cam to keep up. I am getting older and my memory sucks. so having the ability to read tabs and some music is very helpful.
Hi Marty... been a subscriber and fan for years! Thanks for helping me along my guitar journey. I have a favor to ask... is there any way you could explain your sound set up when you teach a new song. I'd love to get better at matching the sounds and tones of the songs you teach! You're so good at matching tones and sounds. It would be helpful if you included your amp setup and any pedals or effects you are using... maybe in the description. I find it frustrating not being able to match the sound better. Thanks in advance, and I think your viewers would appreciate it. Have a great day and keep up the good work!! 🎶🎤🎸
I wonder if people will talk about Marty's influence on the guitar world in the future. literally taught millions of people how to play their favorite songs.
I loved this lesson Marty. Not only because it's so easy for me to just hear and do with you as you tell it, but because it also sort of helps my brain peace out which is two great things at once💕🙌🏻

Fantastic vid Marty, and thanks for the slow backing track to jam on too, thats something I struggle with is not having tracks to jam behind! Everyone's talking about the thumbnail and i clicked so fast i didnt even see it LMAO Looking back now... i regret taking a peek at the thumbnail😂
Hey i noticed in the intro that you're shaking the guitar, what does that actually do to the sound? Does that only happen with particular guitars/amps or is it just a fun thing people do
Heya Marty! Would you do a breakdown of “I can fly away” by delicate Steve? I can’t find anything about the song on internet, I feel like it’d be a fun song to play.
Yo Marty! Can you do a song tutorial on The American Dream is Killing Me by Green Day? I’ve been wanting to learn it and I was sad to see there was no Marty Music tutorial on it… yet!
I have a question. I play acoustic guitar. I finished justin guitar beginner course and I stuck to get to next level. Is Intermediate Foundation from martymusic a good choise or should I stay on justinguitar. I did not find a review about the martymusic courses online.
I can only say that my intermediate foundation is a great follow up to beginner stage with some beginner review. It’s more a guide for every concept you should have a grasp of for your foundation as a guitarist. Use checkout code FALLSALE24 for half off www.martymusic.com/store
@@MartyMusic Before I buy the course I want to know how I should learn it. Should I practice the videos step by step until I master it or is it better more at once?
It's still a mystery to me. Even though I saved this, after listening all the way through. It's a keeper. While I try not to think very long about Edward Scissor Hands. 😮 I think I'll go play that Orbison song, and let the mystery remain... 😎😁

Alright! thanks for this, need to practice these licks.
How'd you know I was getting into the blues 💙
Mahalo Marty!! Always tasty!
I’m going to be so cool at the next jam sesh
Slick 🎸
Thanks Marty. p.s.: R.I.P. J.D. Souther, who wrote many bluesy tunes.
Can we get a Wishlist by Pearl Jam tutorial?
Fantastic..
Hey Marty, could you do a lesson on George Strait - Give It Away, in the key of F? (specifically the intro)
👍
That was great..I'll try not to noodle and actually get it in my head...Thank you....
the first lick sounds very similar to i’m broken by pantera
Loving these tasty licks! Any chance of getting the tabs?

I tried true fire but it was not for me. What I want is to play solos and scales over a song. Learning the fretboard and spice my strumming up.

You know, you could add some distortion to this lesson and it would instantaneously be a Pantera - Cowboys from Hell lesson.
Or some Sabbath Into the Void
The thumbnail is so uncanny, yet the video is lovely
Can you do Mexico by post Malone
the second one is really close to KWS true lies just repeat the second half twice then start again have a great day everyone
Change that thumbnail 😂
Into a middle finger? 😂
Its not a thumbnail...
Its an index vinger nail
Um, did anyone here ever see that adult film parody that lampooned Edward Scissorhands?

Is this the E minor pentatonic or the blues scale? There are extra notes....
Seems like a expanded pentatonic
