did my first real seige was on gorgoroth after the ratbag one. was like 80 levels under the enemy but i did have 3 captains helping me. Dude that seige was legendary bombs everythere, fire spouting out, gates burning my guys. I desparate try to save my guys and leaps over to shot the fire breather and a dragon came out (did not know they had dragons in those) shit got real and the gate was finaly broke down, but bodies was flying everywhere my captains was dying i was rampaging like crazy. Dominated some weak captains sense all my guys expect one was dropping like flies. somehow by after going down 2 times and having no extra lives anymore i clashed with the overlord and was fighting with my health crazy low and boss adapting to everything (sense i play on nemesis diff) 25 min of battle and i drop down, screaming NO (i thought i had to redo entire seige if i lost) i lost hope but NOPE, the only fucking captain that survived my white fucking berserker that have a dire caragor swopes in and fucking bonkers the fucking dude until he decapitate his head with both axes. My first savior and its on my first real seige. Guy got instant overlord and my day was made legendary

Yorozuya also if you do in game challenges and they can be a pain you will get gold to spend for the gold and mithril lootboxes nothing requires in real world cash if you don't want it too

i got it right in the beginning of the game... was level 2, found a level 12 captain, figured i could fight it. ill never forget you... gondorian captain... who died right after

I was once running around as you do, and behind me I suddenly hear "RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEADY!"
Oh god, a other ambush by some fucker that's probably not even legendary.
And boom! It was a uruk that cheated death, BUT stayed loyal to me!!!
Which made me feel really bad because I put him up against a random legendary in the pit, to spawn said legendary so I could kill him and get loot. But also Mr. READY! was a Legendary so win win! Loot wise anyway.
Mr. Ready is now my Overlord as a sign of my appreciating for his loyalty.
I just hope he doesn't find out I send him to the pit to die so I could have loot >_X

Translation: and I took that personally
I’ll never forget when I battled Kuga the Ugly. Our first fight was quite easy, I got an execution to finish him off, ended up chopping the bloke in half, nothing special about it. However to my surprise I see him roaming around not even an hour later, only now he was known as Kuga the Undying a now legendary orc. Seeing this I decided to engage him once more. Naturally I killed him, but he refused to die. 5 battles later and I am the one who dies in battle. In our next two encounters I am slain both times, both my bodyguards as well, and Kuga mocks me as I slip out of consciousness. He ends up becoming the overlord of that territory, so the next time we meet it is during my raid of his castle. At this point he was immune to stealth, ranged attacks, acrobatics, and executions, so I was being thoroughly destroyed. After a particularly devastating series of strikes from Kuga I fell to my knees, feeling as though my conquest was hopeless, when out of no where a beautiful orc leaps from the shadows and desecrates Kugas head with several vicious axe strikes, afterwards he turned to be and said along the lines of “Finally got him eh master”. It turned out to be one of the bodyguards Kuga had killed in our earlier fights. Needless to say he became overlord that day, but I don’t even remember his name 😭

RogueSeraph hmmm.... I recommend Kruk Blood Axe, Prak Jaws, Feldush Giggles, or Ronk the Legend. All of these legendary uruks (while in shadow of mordor) are on Tears of Grace. I seriously recommend it.

There was this one Bruz like, those Olog guy, I died to like 5 times. He rank up from a lowley captain to a fucking warchief. It got to the point he fucking one shot me every time. In the last battle, he almost kill me. All hope was lost. And then an Uruk called Snafu the trusted, who lived up to his name, came out of no where and smash him in the damn face. I immediately promote him to overlord after that.

These moments are the best in the game, I have one bodyguard in gorgoroth named bagga he's a warmonger duel axe wielding guy with on of those orc slave brands on his head strange enough, I was outnumbered 5 to 1 and got my ass beat down by an enraged mystic guy I fucked up the save and he comes in kills him and then kills the other 4 in 40 seconds....dudes a walking holocaust
Bagga the Warmonger sounds like a Keeper; and yes, these Saviour Moments are bloody awesome! Everytime I get saved, it's always a rush of shock and happiness & shows their unprecedented loyalty to you.
The Circle of T.E.D hell I replayed the game last night and at the beginning I got saved by a Gondor sergeant not once but twice instant killed guys 9 levels higher than me
They are pretty decent, the Gondorians.
The Circle of T.E.D for ally NPCs surprisingly so but I never expected the "saved by" to include them it was amazing how much they went into improving the nemesis system that's why I've always loved monolith
I really hope the Nemesis System is implemented into more games; it'd be interesting to see how other devs could interpret the concept in different games.

During my first playthrough, I had 3 saves in Minas Ithil.
I was downed and had gotten annoyed and was like: "oh great another orc gets a promotion." When a random gondorian saved me. I was like: "wait where did you come from!?!?" Then while in the fight I got downed again, i yelled no, when suddenly that old gonorian guy came to save me. I said: "man, you gondorians must like me." Then I got downed again and i thought for sure my time was up. Nope! I was shocked to see the ork slayer come out of nowhere. I was like: "WAIT AN ORC SAVED ME!?!?"
After that I was hooked on the game.
Similar kinda happened to me except when I got downed by an uruk some random uruk I've never seen or recruited came up out of nowhere saying some spiritual stuff after saving me, like you know how most uruk sound weird or crazy, he just sounded normal like a human being or something 🤔😁👍
the amount of loyalty Prak and Shaka showed literally blew Skak's mind
One time I was also about to die but a mysterious saviour went to save me it was kinda awesome to think that their was such a good detail, he even said to me "I've seen you fall many times know, don't give up"

That was pretty badass. Stopped playing this game but these videos make me want to start it up
It happen to me one time : during a fort defense. It was fuking easy, they havent passed the wall, I thought it will be over soon. Then came an legendary uruk. I saw him, alone, break my walls and lead his army inside. I saw all my mens and body gard die, one by one. I came to save them, but this uruk "glorkus the king-slayer" didnt let me resurect them. He killed me one time, two times. I lost all hope when he hit me for the last time with his axe. All my guys were dead and I was down knee in front of him. Then, when he reach me for the final hit, I saw him. On a tower near to me I heard the sound of victory "dont worry, I will always be there to cover your back". At this time my hope reborn when I saw Ugbal, the last commander in my army, shoot a fuking arrow in Glorkus's head. It was at this moment I knew: my fortress was saved, and I found a friend.
Wow! That sounds like one Hell of a battle story; Glorkus is a name I've never seen in Shadow of War, but it sounds mighty. And you got saved by an Archer? What a lad!

Everyone talks about the saves, and they were good, particularly that last one that came just in the nick of time and was so overkill it's ridiculous, but what about that opening move? 0:30 , Talion is surrounded and the Orcs are just like "We've so got this lads!" Then he splits into about 5 different wraiths. That guy coming up the stairs is just like "It was at this moment..."

I've only been saved once, I've been playing for 16 hours so far. I was so shocked when I was saved. First time any npc literally saved my life, in any video game 10/10

I know, I wasn't expecting to be saved that many times, let alone laugh my ass of at Shaka's last save but that shows I hired the right Uruk-hai for my army!
Yeah I've been playing for over 50 hours on Nemesis and I've only been saved about once early on. There were a lot of times when I'd like to have been saved too.
Technically Shaka is not an Uruk-Hai but a Snagga-Hai. Hai means breeded for war. Snaggas are standard orcs and Uruks are a stronger breed of the Snaggas. Snaggas are the thin and smaller ones like Ratbag, and Uruks are the tall and muscular type. both orc types can be breed for wars and get the -Hai suffix. The orc slaves you see in the game are mostly normal Snaggas.
But dont put Mordor Uruk-Hai in the same pot as the ones of Saruman. Those are cross breeds between Uruks and Humans.
Just a little lore. But hey... this game is messing with the lore all the time so lets call a snagga an uruk ^^
@Ric Walker, that's odd, because they're constantly referring themselves as Uruk-hai.
As i wrote: they messed a lot in timeline and lore in the game. Olog is the race and means troll. Olog hai means war troll. and that all is not 100%. Tolkien himself explained the orc names never completely clear. What i described is based on whats known (Melkor created orcs and perfected them to orcs for war) the rest is my logic analysis for my fanfictions.

I'm thinking of starting a new playthrough though (partially to see if I can get a version of my SoM Follower who happens to be a Necromancer), so prior to that I intend to send all of my best (and my favorite) Uruks to my Garrison so that I will still have them available to me on that new playthrough.

I have had a few close calls with this game and I have been saved a few times but never three times in a row. You are honestly the luckiest person to have ever played Shadow Of War.
Closest thing I have to this is when I got downed by an OP Slaughter Tribe Orc and out of nowhere the first Orc I recruited in Gorgoroth (whose name was Gash the Militant.) came out of no where and obliterated the Slaughter Orcs head with one swing of his war hammer. Unfortunately before Gash could get the promotion to Overlord he was killed during the siege by his blood brother who I killed as well. However when I fought the Overlord and was downed Gash showed up and saved me again. I decided to instead assign a different Orc to the Overlord position and I put Gash into the garrison where he will never be killed because that dude was loyal even after dying.
Wait, your Orc cheated death during the same siege and save you from the Overlord?! That's badass, mate; he should've been called Ghash the Juggernaut!

I gotta say, I love the rescue system because how amazing it is, but it's cost me 3 of my most favorite nemesis so far. Well...two... because one keeps coming back no matter how badly I break him. Broke his mind, came back, burned his face, came back, exploded his head, he came back with a head cage on, drowned him, came back, and he's not even an undead or anything, just a ruined orc.
He came back from an exploded head?! Okay, Cheating Death via decapitation's one mindfuck, but Cheating Death via total Skull Explosion is too much for me to handle! You have one persistent Nemesis, mate.
It's kind of funny, you can tell he's been put together one to many times. He used to scream "Skin him" at me for awhile but now he just sniffs and suppresses his giggles.
There's another person who made a video about bolg who died 4 times the 5 one killed he died from falling by about all of them the only difference is that the last was in a area that you can't go because it was well a pit a deeeeeeep pit
Shaka was either having a bad day or he woke up and choose violence. The way he did that captain was brutal.
the fact you scored something like a ten percent chance three times in a row is crazy, to make it blood brother rescueyou is even more crazy, and for the third rescue to have been one of the blood brothers and not another randomly chosen savior, just wrapps it all up into an amazing burrito of in-depth creativity and experience.

When i play at second map, which I didn’t get the ring back. I got three time saved from a stranger orc name Uruk slayer or something. He said: no matter how many times you been beat up, always stand up, ranger, keep stand up. And remember my name!

Nat Kezxy long story short, there was a monolith employee who worked on shadow of war but died during the games development due to cancer so to immortalise him they put up a £4 dlc (all the money went to his family) and in it you got loot chests and some gold but also a saviour named forgey the orc slayer which is the employee's last name"forgey" and he was also in a work band in monolith called "orc slayers"

I wondered that, myself; I guess they weren't Blood Brothers before I shamed him, so he never attacked me. I didn't even realise it until I was training the Bloodstoker.

I can't stand this. I beat the whole f****** game, put countless hours into it, and not once have I been saved by a follower. Except forthog once, but he's dlc. Did I get some bum copy of the game or something?
nathan gwaltney I think the more you die, the higher the chance is that you'll be saved as it may be a way the devs are trying to stop you dying over and over

No, you just had a completely different experience. Also, Forthog's no longer DLC; they actually abandoned that scummy move and just made him part of the base game.....which is how Forthog should be.
Who the fuck cares if u need saved bruh oh well if u don't get saved it makes the game much better if u say you beat it without being saved by an orc or forthog I tried to never get saved but did u really beat the whole game shadow wars included probably not
