I found running it in full auto to be the most satisfying imo
According to Ace. Apparently the FTAC has good stats. Unfortunately yeah, stats aren’t everything. It just ends up being extremely niche and/or limited to higher skilled players.
The more skill you have the better the weapon preforms. When you adapt your playstyle around the weapon and understand it's pros and cons you can dominate with it but not just the recon any gun.

Well I mean yeah. Unfortunately the gun greatly lacks versatility and sucks at what it should be good at. The BRs kind of feel that way in general. Great range but difficult recoil to control at those ranges. The FTAC gets the rear end of this stick though with its default 10 round mag.
The FTAC is pretty weird to me. Out of all the BRs in the game, I know that I like the Scar H and the G3 better, but whenever I use the FTAC, especially in its very off meta form, I always do great with it. And mind you that I use a Damm sniper scope with it and no lasers.
This gun makes me wish we had the SKS from 2019
...and the FAL
This gun is unstoppable at close range with a fast setup. Treat it like an smg and you are golden.
Have you lost motivation for UA-cam?
He's out of ideas
I think something may have happened in his personal life.
I like this gun personally I just like that it holds .458 socom rounds. I think .458 socom should be in more games imo.
It was the second weapon I got gold camo for
In my opinion this gun is great when kitted out to be aggressive. More faster handling attachments. I got it gold instantly on it from the way I build it just don't kit it out for range.
Agreed. I slapped a red dot, suppressor, and a few handling attachments on it when I was leveling it and played very aggressively and it worked amazingly for me. It's not my favorite battle rifle, but it's very fun to use.
I love this gun, it’s my most used gun, I wish people would pick niche guns more over the meta picks. Especially since the game has come to an end. No need to be so try hard and start experimenting.
Personally I find this best with full auto close range face melter
Do a video on the annoying flash bangs and how battle hardened is not worth it.
I'm of the opinion the FTAC's mag size isn't justified by how low the damage is. You should be able to one tap dudes with this like the DMRs, especially since the .458 SOCOM implies it's supposed to hit like a school bus. I'd rather this at least let you drop guys in one shot, at least then it'd be a decent primary. The full auto is just insulting, given the recoil and tiny mag.
It's not the most practical class set up but it's fun as hell to kit it out as a sniper and quick scope with it when you hit head shots
Maaan just gotta suffer this useless gun till level 16 than I don't gotta use it anymore kind of gun lol ftac recon completely sucks man
The most success I had with the ftac was using it with the longer barrel, a recoil reduction muzzle and putting it into auto and treating it like a one kill rifle. My biggest issues with it in single fire was I'd get two shot kills but they weren't very consistent, so I decided I'd rather get a guaranteed kill than an inconsistent one. I'm just happy I got it gold and don't need to touch it again
The best battle rifle is the Taq-V which is way more consistent. The others suck and have way too much recoil yet alot of hitmarkers.
Nah the ftac is good
@@shadowtitan8545 I prefer the semi marksman rifles more because their more consistent compared to the ftac and besides the taq-V battle rifle
I personally don't see any reason to use the FTAC unless you wanted to unlock the FSS Hurricane or any unlocks related to the FTAC. Anything the FTAC does, the Lachmann-762 does better. Same class, more ammo, feels more consistent. FTAC weirdly feels both nimble and heavy at the same time and I'm not quite sure why, while the Lachmann-762 doesn't have this problem. I also found the EBR-14 to outclass the FTAC despite being in different weapon categories.
Seems many weapons in MW2 despite looking like they would be perfect for "long range", just don't really work since there's so much recoil and even more screen shake that it's just not worth using it that way.
As others mentioned, the gun works best when you kit it out with a low zoom optic and a balance of recoil control and speed.
The funny thing is the M4 with 458 SOCOM in MW2019 felt better to use than the FTAC.
The FTAC is the reason why I wish Infintiy Ward locked marksmen rifles to semi-auto fire only. I honestly wish they made the AR-308 the heavy caliber AR branch off to the M-4. The FTAC feels like they took the 458 SOCOM attachment from MW2019 and made it a dedicated weapon.
I am under the impression that you really need this gun to fully level up attachment wise to excel.
Did you primarily use it in full auto or semi?
Like all the other 5 semi auto rifles
Used for two matches on the beta. Its bad.
Ay boom
