I have used it for over a year and it's generally worked well. The app being html web based makes it quirky sometimes and seems to be forever in beta lol
I can't tell if this is using the original telematic system or just directly using OBD2 functions. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as it works.
I find it 100% worth the cost being that this is my daily driver, we live in equally as cold of a climate as it gets hot in the summer as well. Waking up to a warm car every morning that warms up on schedule is incredible. Being able to warm it up before I leave work on cloudy days is nice or even cool it down on super hot summer days before leaving the store/leaving work is wonderful. It's cheaper and far easier to install than most aftermarket cellular based remote start systems so I think the price is well justified.
@@OvalboreCars But for a wifi connection instead of GSM cell network? I'm going to open source a bluetooth version of it. Now a days you can have ChatGPT write the code for you.
@@OvalboreCars Is the maximum range 190 km / 118 mi in summer and in the city? and 120 km/75 mi on the highway at 100 km/h 60 mph? And above all, the battery seems extremely reliable even outside of warranty? What coolant is needed for the battery and motor ? THANKS

impressive polish given the operation that puts it out, but 100% agree.
Really cool product. Does the car need keys in the ignition to preheat the cabin?
normally yes, but no. you can preheat with no keys in the car with the telematics app :)
It means I don't have to go out side and open de driver door any more, well worth it when is 30°f or below
well worth it

self contained telematics
That’s actually the cabin humidity sensor on the windshield you pointed at ;)
Thanks for doing the teardown. Great video!
seems odd as the climate panel has that capability
certainly. I was curious.
Ended production in 2019, may have sold into 2020.
So they should be coming off lease into 2022 or 23.
Great point about the telematics for cold climates.
You did it!
I did what?
the product is too expensive, $380 for a compliance car and also it doesn't work in Asia. Only US and Europe apparently.
well worth the cost in a cold climate

Subscription fees for wifi??? lame
its made by an individual that has to pay hosting, so I think its perfectly fair to charge for that.
