Don’t blame you for not buying anything things are looking tired and the prices aren’t adding up, those clearance plants way overpriced as well and most are on the verge of no return. Glad my Lowe’s doesn’t use that pricing system, they price each plant individually and they price them to sell lots of plants for a dollar
The high cost of plants has me trying to make my own off cuttings. The prices have doubled the last two years and why??? I would have bought that peach rose.
Ceanothus is also called California Lilac or Mountain Lilac. There are a couple dozen species native to the state and dozens more cultivars, and they range from groundcover to tree-form. I really recommend looking up what it looks like in bud and full bloom. They are drought resistant and nitrogen fixing, but are super sensitive to overwatering. I’m actually thinking of getting a ‘Skylark’ if I can find a spot for it.
I troll the clearance at my local Lowe's regularly also. Lately the clearance has been - beyond bringing back from the dead. My best find at Lowe's this season has been 3 Proven Winners 3 gallon Invincibelle Sublime™ Smooth hydrangea for $12 each. They were half price and near perfect condition 🤷♀️ I'm waiting for the others they have to be clearanced so I can plant a row one one side of my house. 😊
