The speech might be fiction, but the numbers quoted are absolute facts. And before any jumps on me thinking I'm a flaming liberal, I served in the US military for almost 7 years during the illegal invasion of Viet Nam, not because I agreed with it, but simply because my country called. I defied the odds and actually returned to college and graduated with a degree in engineering. In that career, I had the great pleasure of working in over 35 countries. I have visited these countries, walking the back streets, watching the people and their children, and when possible, having a conversation ad equals. I have come to learn that the people on the streets are pretty much the same world over and want pretty much the same things. The problem is governments, not that they are inherently, but that the people who gain control of them are.

*In February 1948, George F. Kennan's Policy Planning Staff said: "We have about 50% of the world's wealth, but only 6.3% of the population*...Our real task in the coming period is to develop a pattern , of relationships that allow us to maintain this position of inequality."*
_And that's what these internationalist/globalist gentlemen did in the past, and still do today._
The peoples of Eurasia are still being turned against each other and then burned to ensure that this inequality remains.
*This is how “divide and conquer” is implemented.*
They pit European and Eurasian nations against each other and then rule over the division. The imperialist playbook of Great Britain and the USA for more than 100 years. Read Halford Mackinder (Pivot of History, 1904) and Zbigniew Brzezinski (Grand Chessboard, 1997) regarding Eurasia.

In that same document (Policy Planning Study #23), Kennan also said
In the face of this situation we would be better off to dispense now with a number of the concepts which have underlined our thinking with regard to the Far East. We should dispense with the aspiration to “be liked” or to be regarded as the repository of a high-minded international altruism. We should stop putting ourselves in the position, of being our brothers’ keeper and refrain from offering moral and ideological advice. We should cease to talk about vague and-for the Far East-unreal objectives such as human rights, the raising of the living standards, and democratization. The day is not far off when we are going to have to deal in straight power concepts. The less we are then hampered by idealistic slogans, the better.

    Greatest country? Rankings
We aren’t the worst but we certainly aren’t the “greatest”. Whenever anyone mentions greatest country, it makes me think of the old Newsroom clip with Jeff Daniels. Let’s look at the updated stats from 2021/22 of what he mentioned and some additional stats.
According to the 2021 Human Freedom Index, the US isn’t even in the top 10.
    Switzerland - 9.11
    New Zealand - 9.01
    Denmark - 8.98
    Estonia - 8.91
    Ireland - 8.90
    Finland - 8.85
    Canada - 8.85
    Australia - 8.84
    Sweden - 8.83
    Luxembourg - 8.80
(The US was 15th according to this and according to another was 19th).
In literacy we are ranked 52nd in the world.
    Math we are 25th.
Science we do well in some ways and are ranked number 1 but ironically we came in 3rd in a world science competition despite our number 1 ranking.
    Life expectancy we are 46th.
Infant mortality we are 50th (Yes, the way those stats are compiled vary across the globe. The data comes from UNICEF and World Health Organization.)
Household income we are 5th (keep in mind as a country we are top 10 most expensive countries to live in but specifically by cities some are even more expensive to live in. For example NYC is ranked second most expensive city to live in in the world).
    Labor Force we are 3rd.
Exports we are number 2. (What do we export? Medical and pharmaceutical are big exports but oil/petroleum is usually number one and cars/car parts are also major exports).
Incarceration rates we are number 1 (being number 1 in prison population isn’t a good thing. For profit prisons in the US is one of the main reasons we have the largest prison population. 2/3 prisoners are “working” while locked up, basically making them indentured servants.)
Angels??? Not sure where we are ranked but according to a poll from the Associated Press 8 out of 10 people believe in angles in the US.
Defense spending we are still number 1 (and out spend at least the next 10 nations combined).
    Bonus:
Press Freedom Index we are 42nd.
Freedom of expression we are ranked about 28th.
    Happiness we are 19th.
Paid vacation days, the US isn’t even in the top 30. Number 1 is Austria and Number 30 is Japan.
Overall healthcare ranking is 18th (and we don’t even cover everyone; something every other industrialized nation does).
Víolent críme ràtes we are ranked 94th (safest and this isn’t a good thing)
Taxes? We actually take home less than 60% of our paychecks after federal taxes, state taxes and healthcare deductions. That doesn’t even include 401k deductions and union dues (if you are in a union).
How about hours worked? On average, Americans work 137 more hours every year than Japanese workers - who we perceive as chronically overworked, 260 more hours than British workers, 394 hours more than the average uber-efficient German worker, and a whole 499 more hours per year than workers in France.
Out of the approximately 200 countries in the world, 134 have laws capping the maximum number of hours an employee can work, including every industrialized nation. However, the United States is one of the minority countries and the only industrialized nation without laws setting the maximum hours of work in a week.

Trump plays to the worst parts of our nature . He is an expert in sowing fear. He capitalizes on this fear. He exploits human weaknesses. He creates the monster at our door. Reassuring the fearful and weak that he only he can set this floundering nation on the true and steady course. Because humans are inherently lazy, no need to worry . They settle into that comfortable place where as people can relax . Knowing he will take care of their worries.
Foolishly they give up the control of their lives. Ignorant to the fact that behind the curtain, he and his minions hold the strings of manipulation to assure they maintain power and control over the masses.
I never thought that in my lifetime would I see this collapse of democracy and the rise of an authoritarian regime here in America.

Because he hasn't a clue about how to go about doing it. His priorities are Trump, money, power. Screw everybody else.

I've never heard anyone bash Trump for saying he wants to make America great again, it's all the other cringey divisive trash that comes out of his mouth that he gets bashed for.

Don’t know how you got Magazine out of that speech. We were informed, we cared about each other, war on poverty not poor people. Where do you find Maga in those morals. Explain it to me cause I don’t know what you are talking about

The thing is, most of his speech is incorrect. No country is as free as America, none of those countries he listed are as free as America (as we see now), and up until Obama, America was the strongest and most stable and most charitable country in there history of the world
