10 Basic Braids For Beginners | Easy DIY Tutorial

- I’ve been thinking that it would be cool with a basic tutorial of the 10 most common braids. In this video I have created a quick tutorial for the10 braids, that I think you should learn.
Mastering these 10 basic braids will give you a ton of opportunities to create different styles.
The 10 braids are:
3 - Strand Braid - 0:00
4 - Strand Braid - 0:33
Rope Braid - 1:52
French Braid.- 2:45
Dutch Braid - 4:21
Lace Braid - 5:45
Waterfall Braid - 6:49
Fishtail Braid - 8:29
Twist Waterfall Braid - 9:37
Infinity Braid - 11:03

The best part is that she is doing the braids by her own ..I have seen a lot of tutorials where an another person is doing the hairstyles and it feels so difficult to do on myself.. Great tutorial ❤

Exactly. They do it on a doll head or on someone else, and obviously that's much easier than doing it yourself.

I can’t figure that out either.
I never had long hair but 2 years or so I decided to let it grow. I'm glad I did because now I get to do all these cute things.

At first I couldn't braid my hair at all, but I practised and practised until I eventually got it. And the more I do it, the less my arms hurt
Keep practicing! After a while you'll get used to it, your arms will hurt less and the braids will turn out neater. Try starting with something simple, like the ordinary three-strand braid. Then move on to more complicated styles. That's how it worked for me, anyways. Good luck! 👍

Yeah but you actually have to feel them anyway.
@@AKRose-nm1zs a simple three strand braid is a protective hairstyle. I recommend it to avoid breakage. Buns are faster though.

Do! It is really nice. My bf wanted to learn so I taught him and now his braids are better than mine (my arms are weak twigs). Also, it is really cosy. Probably satisfies some ancient ape desire to do social grooming. :D

I dont understand people who complain that they have dark hair and the hairstyles won't show up on them.
I've had pitch black hair, and then every colour of the rainbow too, and hairstyles do show up.

That infinity braid would give me infinity cramps if I tried it on myself.

I love your tutorials and have made some great hairstyles on myself! You demonstrating doing it to yourself it’s so much better than people that do it on someone else or a fake head 😀
Two things: -If anyone is having trouble keeping hair separate for half up, clip away the hair you aren’t using underneath. -The two strand twisty braid is called a rope braid.
for anyone who may try out the French braid, I'd suggest brushing your hair out to make sure there is not any knots. When I tried, i had a couple small knots in my hair and after I brushed it out, it was much easier!☺
