Tech With Brett hey Brett. Very nice video. I bought these lights but wanted to check what wires type did you install in your lawn which was hooked up with your outlet? It came with a 4 ft long cable but I want to do exactly how you did. Thanks in advance
Don't go there. Bad software non-existent support. Seriously. This stuff is just nasty non-functional nastiness. iOS or Android, no matter. Separate 2.4gHz wifi or not. No matter. It is junk. Maybe they'll fix their code? Maybe. Someday.
Those are very nice Brett. I like that they're within the Smart Life app and I really like the additional antenna to ensure they can receive the 2.4 GHz WiFi. All very smart design choices. The breathe mode was something I'd use pretty much during any season too! Great stuff sir!
@@AutomateYourLife Not yet. I don't think they will, but they have the best display in the neighborhood. They are gone, so maybe I should move their stuff while they are away. I hope this helps your "friend"...
Good video Brett! As someone who just recently installed Hue Lily’s to my front yard, I can tell that the colors and saturation factor on the Novostella look really good! Thanks for sharing man!
Great video Brett! I’d love to find something similar that supports HomeKit as well (and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg like Phillips Hue’s outdoor lights). These lights look great, Nice job!
When you mounted them, it did not look like there was much play on the angles due to the power cord being so stiff. Did you notice the same thing when aiming them? Yet you had a mostly up focus...
Great video. Well explained. Many thanks. That made my purchase decision a lot easier for me and is now being bought. Thanks again. P.s. Sorry for my bad English, but I'm not a native speaker ;-)
Hey can you program it in way that lets say I wan't It coming on at 5pm 100% white for example ...then change to 50% at 6pm and say at 8pm I want red an so on etc?
I bought a pair of these. I have them turn on red at sunset then turn white at 1% at midnight for a security light. It never fails one of them always turns on white instead of red as the routine is programmed through Alexa. Any idea why? If I rerun the routine it turns red as programmed.
GREAT vid! I am in my first year of installing lights as a business and am really interested in these lights. Have you tested 20W vs 30W or any of the other available wattages?
The WiFi router doesn’t need to be hooked up to the internet right? Just want to make sure I could buy these lights with the proper router and install the app without needing internet.
Purchased 4 of these a month or so ago and love the lights. However they are/were advertised to work with IFTTT and they don't. Was a little unhappy about that as I bought them specifically with the intention of setting up some IFTTT applets.
I got 2 of these lights also, have contacted Novostella, they told me the tuya software does not support IFTTT now, so they have removed the function work with IFTTT. But honestly, these lights work well :)
So you need to have either Alexa or Google or can you just connect from the lights to your WiFi and control via the Smart Life app? Is it compatible with Vera?
I had trouble connecting my lights to the network outside. I moved the router to the window but still the units would not connect to wifi outside. Any suggestions
Had anyone attempted replacing the wire? It's a nice watertight connection, but the rest of the unit is watertight. Does that mean it's an ip6x junction box to replace an existing light?
I can’t get these things to even blink? Tried for about an hour the first night. Trying again for about a half hour I looked at the manual - followed the instructions - tried resetting the light - then configure. What the hell do I need to do to get these things to get into a configure mode?
I just got these because I saw your video a while back. And I also had a frustrating time getting them to pair but then I read through the comments on here til I saw this. Ten times worked for me! Thanks!
@@Greg-fg1rd What Echo device do you have and do you know that brand of smart light? If they use Smart Life you will need to connect them to the Smart Life app first like I did in the video then connect them to Alexa.
@@TechWithBrett You're a GENIUS, and a great guy to "know!" I finally have my lights working!!! Thank you! Very minor, but, maybe it can't be done. I have 2 wall washers, same switch. it's all very nice Christmas lights
I like those light
I told my neighbors that they could put their lights on my house. That way, they could enjoy them more. :)
That is a great idea!
Did it work Dave? :) Asking for a friend....

Thanks Dial, I have been impressed.
Tech With Brett they look good and for the price... I mean I can’t seem to justify the $340 price tag on the Lily’s.

I’ve bought 2 which work great but have been having issues adding 2 more lights. Not sure you are capable of adding more than 2 to the app

They look really nice. How would you rate the WiFi signal on them?
These can be controlled with home assistant

You know, I like your bench. I could refurbish it for you... kinda my thing.
How do you connect more than one light? Do you have to have 6 different outlets and 6 different extension cords?
Like #83. FYI - they are 2000 lm. According to Honey, the price varies all the way down to $52.
What did you do about keeping the power adapter dry ?

I have these as well but I hate the fact that each one’s gotta be plugged in. I wish it was cordless smart lights
HOw are these lights holding up? Are they pretty good weather proof?
Any alternative to having extension cords running all across your lawn?
They should of put the cord on the side so you could tilt them more.
Nice

Brett, my Alexa doesn't recognize my LED light. Am I doing something wrong?
Do you have it working in the app first? Do you have the lights in this video.
