Before balancing the wheel (i.e. the rim/tire/valve combo), shouldn't one adjust the spokes to assure
minimum radial and axial runout of the tire? I once had a front wheel that started hopping on the
pavement when speeds exceeded 80mph due to a slightly bent spoke affecting the radial runout
of the rim. In short, the wheel was balanced, but slightly distorted.
