To detach the window from the carrier >> Raise/lower the window, and white plastic attachments, until oval shaped holes, in the metal track and the yellow plastic grips/carrier, align with the holes in the white plastic attachments. Push small blade flathead, or a narrow Phillips head, into the hole, and push the tab at the backside of the yellow grip, horizontally, while lifting the window out of the grip. The new window will slide back into the grip.
I've been wanting to pull the barrier off of my 20 to apply some sound dampening and couldn't find a video of someone replacing the window regulator because it's bolted from the inside. it being attached to the glass is why you cant just pull the panel off. it recently occurred to me that window replacement is probably much more common and would show the way. this is the way. thanks for posting the video, i'll make sure i don't try to pull the outer molding off.
Yeah it's actually surprisingly easy to pull the window out on this vehicle. If I had to do it again I could probably do it in half an hour if I wasn't filming lol
dude, you don't need that gizmo to remove the belt molding... crab it with both hands and roll it upwards, assuming there isn't a small screw on the back. You can use a plastic trim tool to assist wedge it from the front. Funny thing, you don't need to remove the front belt molding,
Would like to have seen more detail on releasing the window from the clips. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your time, very helpful
It's not something you need to do everyday thankfully lol
thank you for the video, it will be a major help, i have to do the drivers side front on my 20017 :(
Thank you! I was surprised that no other videos covered this procedure. It was much easier than I had expected it to me.

Yes I know, I covered that at the end of the video
You showed almost everything except removal of glass itself, you camera was focused on inner bottom door! Otherwise helpful
Yep, sorry about that. Not always easy to get the perfect shot
Don't do it this way. You can get it out and back in without even removing the door panel. Takes just 15 minutes at most
