In Hong Kong fight scenes of that era they also spent considerably more time on a fight scene and knew about important issues like camera placement, editing and performance timing, whereas in the States it seems as if they were not nearly as willing to put that amount of time and money into just one fight scene. She did well to cope with the complex Hong Kong style fight choreography because it is not at all easy!

They also tend to fight with more power, so that impacts look more realistic.Cynthia also once said, that her shooting partners didnt held beck, even if she is a woman. The scene with her and Michelle is absolutely great. The american produced pacing is pretty slow😅
