Below is everything i've learnt from using SDD so far. 1. Much much faster loading, some objects ingame do load faster BUT 0 FPS improvement in game noted on a GTX 1080 with i7 7700k 16GB DDR4 RAM. More stable fps in online games. 2. Less load on the ram. SSD seem to use less RAM, i'm guessing it must be the operating background programs completing faster thus SSD is best to run your OS on it. 3. Less cpu temperature with SSD about 2-3 Celsius less, it's a lot, meaning less workload on your cpu. +1 for safety 4. Looking at security. SSD will still work even if you accidentally drop it, or move it while it's operating. Why mentioning that? Because it can happen you move your casing while it's operating and stuff happens. SDD will live if such event would happen however a HDD could get a header damage or scratch the disk which is a R.I.P Advice: SSD run at a temperature of 55°C when not operating to 70°C-95°C during operation which can damage a motherboard. I'd advice you STRONGLY to have a very good ventilating system with airflow if you're investing in multiple SSD's. Have a Case Fan close to it 2-3inches and not further than this, make sure your SSD is set in a slot which is far from your motherboard or invest in expansion bay to modify your casing. HDD like seagate and such has a temperature that max at 50°C when operating yet another reason why SSD isn't so popular yet. Main problem with SSD? Freaking Expensive and too little space. The price of a 500Gb SSD is about x5 that of a 2TB HDD. Hint: I bought only 1 SSD with 250GB, put windows 10 on it and keep your configuration setting saved on the SSD what you can do then, is simply move only your most used / memory intensive application like games to your SSD, keep anything else like movies, set up files, music and downloads on your HDD's. Edit: SDD SHOULD NEVER BE DEFRAGGED. Defragmentation is a process to make 'disk-drive' move data around its platter in an orderly manner to be read much faster. Defragging your SSD will only help in reducing its capacity drastically, lower its lifespan or RIP it because SSD works on a totally different way than mechanical hard-disc drives. So anyone feeling comfortable enough to run Windows 10 or any other OS which can sometimes automatically try to 'defrag' your hard drive should be aware of this and turn off this feature. Why microsoft doesn't care about SDD and tries to defrag even on windows 10 in a SDD era? For those people who use 'cleanup' program such as: TuneUp Utilities, CC Cleaner, Asus Cleaner, etc. Make sure you pay extra caution if the 'optimization' features a de-fragmentation of your hard-disk because most of those software still may think that your SSD is spreading the data everywhere and tries to 'fix' your no-disk hard drive to a no-good hard drive. Hint 2: After learning that, i quickly reverted back to having my OS on HDD only keep a 'copy' of my most used games like witcher 3 on the SSD. Hope this clarify certain things about SSD and HDD for some people.
Luc Konosuke #1: I personally don't care if the game takes a few more seconds or a minute to load, or if textures load slower, but is there any microstutter having your games on an HDD or is it just as smooth? #2: Thank you for telling us about the defragmentation feature. BTW you can always buy used SSD with the warranty like me. For example, I bought Samsung Evo 500GB with 3 years warranty for like 75$. It was the great investment in my PC because now I can do faster alt+tab and when I try to use chrome while a game is running in the background it's just super smooth with zero lags For me SSD is like a GOD, everything I download/install I put it on my SSD expect movies, pictures and some bigger files
I think I might've had a 5400 rpm in mine, so yeah the ssd made a huge difference for me. I love that amongst the things that are supposed to shorten the lifespan of an SSD are "frequently writing and deleting large amounts of data"... I sat there reading it thinking "What else am I supposed to do with it?"
So many people overlook ssd's, and this is coming from someone who used to overlook ssd's. Because it's not just about loading screen times. If you still have a 7200rpm hard drive you'll 100% know about the small stutters you get in game every now and then, those stutters are new textures and models rendering into the game. With an ssd the loading of those textures and models happen 20x faster, so essentially for some if not most games you wont get that stutter with an ssd. Also with the fact that games are starting to become more and more demanding with hardware i think most people will find their 7200rpm hard drives just wont cut it anymore.
Personally, I've got money to throw away so I went with an nvme m.2 (these ssd's typically are faster because they are inserted directly into the motherboard) specifically the samsung evo 970. But if you're on a budget a sata ssd would do just fine for gaming, even if it doesn't have much storage, deleting and reintalling games shouldn't be a problem for most people. The samsung 960 250gb is a cheap one, only $110 New Zealand Dollars so I can imagine it's almost 25% cheaper anywhere else in the world. I haven't heard much about it but the Corsair Force LE200 240GB is even a few dollars cheaper with the same write/read speeds.
SSD should be standard for PC's now (at least SSHDD) . Games are getting larger and larger meaning that loading times are potentially longer now. Less waiting more playing. Try go back and play some PS1 games now. Loading times will drive you insane (looking at you Driver).
hybrid drives are for those who do not really push their machine, at all. For a little boost of speed of SOME things, you get all the negative parts of both technologies. Unless all you do is browse the www and I don't know, work with paint or something, you would be better of even with a mechanical drive than a hybrid.
SSD can't be standardized yet because it requires a very specific casing design, you can't put a SDD just like that laying in your casing or close to your motherboard because SSD operates a temperature that can easily damage your motherboard meaning you'll need a specific casing and also a good ventilation system. It took me time to understand that but the standard pc customer will not be willing to invest in a specific casing design and cooling system other than what is provided as standard.

Great video. Personally, SSD is not worth it for games. Buying a large SSD for a desktop seems like a waste of money IMO. IMHO its only worth putting games on an SSD if you play them regularly or they are highly competitive, but most single-player games will be more than fine on a HDD. Personally I went with a 256gb SSD for my OS and my more frequent games, and a 2TB HDD for storing basically all the rest of my games on. If there is a game that I begin to play regularly I can quite quickly move it from the HDD to the SSD, and it only cost about $100 USD, which is very reasonable to spend on storage.
Well said. Exactly right. OS gains the most speed by residing on an SSD because we all know the companies that develop Operating systems do not have our gaming priorities at heart. I only have one ribbon cable on my motherboard for a HDD / SSD connection (never buying another PC from Best Buy again) but I would do what you suggested. Thank you for the great information.
For me that difference in loading times is not worth it. It doesn't really matter to me if I wait 30 or 50 seconds for a game to start. I will play it for several hours so thats not a big enough difference.
You should had tested with a full drive, thing get interesting with HDDs there. I know games that are affected by the drives: World of Tanks (at least 0.9.XX and older did) The game stutters if you are running on a very slow (4k Random) drive. Probably cause the game is optimized to run on literally anything and loaded both audio and tank textures directly from the drive to save space on the RAM (it just took 2GB to play at 60FPS). Also, battle loading times are still affected a lot by the drive. Farming Simulator 17 and Transport Fever can take anywhere from 10 seconds to 5 minutes to load a map depending on your drive. Even more with mods. Btw the slowest drives are cheap 5400RPM laptop drives, not comparable to desktop drives. Drives get even slower if they have bad sectors or have been dropped.
the thing with ssd you cant keep copying files from your 1tb or 2tb hdd filled with games to ssd just because you want to see 24sec difference between loading time.
You should test it on Warhammer 2... on the harddrive it's anywhere up to 3 mins for the main game to load, ssd is like 30 secs so a significant difference. Games like this definitely need an ssd.
Trusteft a pc with only games on it, won't run unneeded programs during cold boot. Nor will they be running after the boot and you want to start w game. This is especially for HDD :). Just wanted to let you all know that you might not have the same numbers as in this test :). And that the number of processes that were running on the pc should have been given :).
Well 1tb samsung evo m2 cost alot, so after the video (thank you man :D) i decided myself to buy 2x sshd and make raid to improve the speed with low costs :D
this isnt entirely true now, look at the difference Star Citizen has when using an SSD vs HDD...its literally a drastic difference in the way its skips around with a mechanical drive...
SATA SSD from SATA HDD in a laptop takes Windows 10 boot time from a few minutes to around 30 seconds. To be fair, it was a fresh install, since I screwed up the boot on the HDD when trying to copy the partition over... Oh, and Ubuntu 16.04 boot time (same files and such) goes from around a minute to around 5 seconds. If only I could get it to stop asking for a password for the swap... speaking of which, for Linux users, you get a faster swap. I haven't specifically compared (I removed Linux from my HDD after copying over, because convoluted stuff) but the faster swap should prove helpful when dealing with devices with less RAM (like my 4GB).
Is there still a huge difference? I have one 6tb hard drive and 1 m.2 for my os and another 1tb ssd. If there’s only minor differences I’m going to move most of library to the hdd and only use my ssd for games I play a lot.
I don’t mean to be rude or anything but there’s people in the comment section saying that they cant even afford a 2tb hdd which is only like 75 bucks here in Australia, you must be poor as fuck.
About right , but loading times also stress ur CPU. So if u were running something better , SSD/M.2 would be a lot faster, which u forgot to mention and ppl need to know.

Why not compare ssd to other ssd and hdd to another hdd so its easier to choose what to buy and is it worth the buck. coz ssd vs hdd is like a boxing match between a person just standing and the one who is running around.

setitfree78 This is an ideal test for people wondering whether to go to an SSD. If you're worrying about SATA vs M.2 for games, forget about it, they're basically identical.
@@HOkayson - It's been a year since your comment but I'm afraid you forgot to take into consideration that there are a hundred million PLUS gaming PC's out there that at the time you said "They're basically identical" were built with motherboards that were incapable of using an M.2 -- it's Jan 2019 and many of us out there are still using Rigs we bought five years ago. I think what setitfree78 was TRYING to tell you a year ago was that the MAJORITY of people out there are NOT going to be buying, plugging, and playing with M.2's -- That's the point he was trying to convey. TechteamGB also missed the point by using new tech at the time, I suppose only because he wanted to get as many views as possible to boost his channel. If he had actually cared, he would have used a SSD 860 and said "your mileage may vary" as most often it does because we all have such a variety of tech installed into our gaming PC's and it's impossible to nail it down to a finite point of reference when addressing 200 million gamers on YT. This is how you differentiate a guy looking for subs, and a guy who really only cares about getting the message out there to fellow gamers.
@@jonkaminsky8382 The test was M.2 vs HDD, setitfree78 was saying that's pointless because everyone knows an M.2 is way faster than an HDD, so a more interesting test would be M.2 vs SSD. My comment was that M.2 vs SSD for game loading are more or less the same. I was actually making the point that an SSD would perform very similarly to the M.2 so the results can be applied to SSDs as well, so anyone without an M.2 slot can be assured that an SSD would be a similar speedup.
Dude there's is NO performance difference other than an almost 24/7 fps stability for high quantity generated object game inc online gaming. Example . I play witcher 3 1080p @ 60 fps , i tried running the game on HDD, in toussaint while some few object was loading for like 4-5 seconds, fps drop to 55 but got back to 60 soon after. Now while running witcher 3 with same graphic setting on SSD. Same zone toussaint, all objects were promptly loaded fps is stable at 60 , drop to 55 for like 1-2seconds. There's very few game that could benefit from SSD for online gaming, like Black Forest Online but other than that. HDD might still rule till 2020 or so until gaming requirement bump up with more 4k-8k content.
I really need a SSD because my HDD is getting laggy it seems like but I don't have an M.2 slot so I guess I just have to go with a SATA SSD. BTW, I have a problem with PUBG, I get a lag spike each time I open my inventory. Do you think an SSD might fix that?

Jared Dooley If you've got that much to spend you can get a *really* good PC for that. If you're scared of building your own there's plenty of boutique places that do it for you for a bit of a markup. These days though it's super easy, check out PCPartPicker, there's loads of example builds on there might will help you make sure you order compatible parts. If you want people will no doubt be happy to put together an example & share a link here?

Same. The speed of a 7200RPM HDD is still fine for me. I don't really care about my game taking an an extra 20 seconds to load. My laptop has an SSD, so I know how fast it can be. But still, meh.
there is no difference from a normal sata and evo ssd on games, games have a "limit" to write and read speeds and is not higher than a regular ssd with 500 mb/s in reading and writing.the evo is more for rendering making video or other things(these have a limit too,a normal ssd is enought) so is a waste of money buying samsung evo x ,yesterday i buy a 500g ssd sata 3 for 50 euro :) (sorry, bad english)
I have a new HP laptop Windows 10, 1 terabyte HD and was thinking of replacing the HD with a Samsung SSD but really wanted an increase in FPS so I can compete playing CS:GO, etc. Any suggestions besides getting a gaming laptop?
Titus Anderson I have a suggestion, it’s to know that having an ssd won’t really affect your FPS, having an ssd when playing cs go, well other than loading up the game, has the same performance and FPS when using an hdd. If your patient, a 30 second to a minute loading time to start up the game shouldn’t really bother you, for its only one loading time, then you can play the game as you wish. Loading into a lobby/game won’t even take that long either, it will be more shorter than the first loading time for opening the game.

But in the long time it will matter cuz time is money
In that case I can save alot more money by simply not gaming😅 @@damiank7374
1:43 his face says: oh shit!
the thing with ssd you cant keep copying files from your 1tb or 2tb hdd filled with games to ssd just because you want to see 24sec difference between loading time.
You should test it on Warhammer 2... on the harddrive it's anywhere up to 3 mins for the main game to load, ssd is like 30 secs so a significant difference. Games like this definitely need an ssd.
Great video!
Hey! Thanks man, nothing like your ones but glad ya liked it!
Ah... bummer that you did not test content creation & render times :)
That's likely going to be it's own video!
TechteamGB cool! :)
Thanks. Video was very informative.
that fingers on the thumbnails makes me mad.
I'd like to see anyone test running 4tb raid to 2tb with 10,000 rpm drives do a test with an ssd seems fast at loading to me.
Guys please note that this is ONLY for a pc thats meant for gaming only. So just games and a bit of tools but NOT for a pc for work AND games :)!
What's your point?
Trusteft a pc with only games on it, won't run unneeded programs during cold boot. Nor will they be running after the boot and you want to start w game. This is especially for HDD :). Just wanted to let you all know that you might not have the same numbers as in this test :). And that the number of processes that were running on the pc should have been given :).
Gavaskar B. I see what you're saying, this is just the best case for an HDD, SSDs only get better from here!
HOkayson yup indeed :). Ssd will remain consistent enough while hdd will become slower over time :p
If you're playing R6seige you'll need ssd. My god
Yeah so I can load in 30 seconds instead of 60
No you don't
Well 1tb samsung evo m2 cost alot, so after the video (thank you man :D) i decided myself to buy 2x sshd and make raid to improve the speed with low costs :D
Awesome, nice job!
this isnt entirely true now, look at the difference Star Citizen has when using an SSD vs HDD...its literally a drastic difference in the way its skips around with a mechanical drive...
He has the same intro as kindly keyin lol
Is there still a huge difference? I have one 6tb hard drive and 1 m.2 for my os and another 1tb ssd. If there’s only minor differences I’m going to move most of library to the hdd and only use my ssd for games I play a lot.
I don’t mean to be rude or anything but there’s people in the comment section saying that they cant even afford a 2tb hdd which is only like 75 bucks here in Australia, you must be poor as fuck.
does the ssd degrade faster when games installed in ssd?
There's a 512gb adata for $159 here CAD. I got a 1TB hdd it's so big it takes up space in my mini ITX
Can you test it with the fastest SSD Seagate Firecuda 520
you saved me time in transffering my games to my ssd haha
ssds can improve stuttering or micro freezes in open world games that require the streaming in of data to the vram when traveling quickly
thxx thats all I needed to know what games are going to my ssd and what games go onto my hdd
About right , but loading times also stress ur CPU. So if u were running something better , SSD/M.2 would be a lot faster, which u forgot to mention and ppl need to know.
Is placing your Windows files on an SSD a life hack?
Very much so.
You speed up your boot times so I'd say yes
Why not install both
I have an msi gs 60 laptop with 1060 nvidia 6gb 16gb ram and 1tb ssd is it the ssd 1 tb worth it
Thanks dude. Very helpful.
What about in game on gta5? Is there any less I game pop up with an SSD
want to be a tech youtuber? step 1, get a shelf and put all your old shit and empty boxes on it. step 2, measure something. thermals, frame rates, load times you pick. that's it congratulations you are now a tech tuber. say hi to Linus for me.
Did you hear about a game called rust? thats where ssd shines.
do you know if its worth it to have both ssd and hdd?
doesn't HDD affects frame times more?
Was the operating system stored on a separate drive for these tests?
Yes
i have an notebook's hd on my pc, only anoying thing is when you die in witcher 3 and have to reload the last save again, apart of this, no problemo
So if you only have an SSD can you play? Like if you don’t have a hd????
depens what size is ur ssd ? if ur ssd is 120gb well u cant install 2-3 60gb game
@@TheOnlineGam4r thanks for the help but you’re three months Too late
This guy sounds like James McAvoy, but great video
You say that like it's a bad thing! We are both Scottish.... That's probably why.
He looked also like him lol
Why not compare ssd to other ssd and hdd to another hdd so its easier to choose what to buy and is it worth the buck. coz ssd vs hdd is like a boxing match between a person just standing and the one who is running around.
I have a 256gb NVME SSD and a 2TB HDD. Should I just have my OS on the SSD and use the HDD for everything else?
Pretty much, yes.
@@TechteamGB cheers mate, thanks for the reply. Do you think it would be worth it to buy another SSD exclusive for games?
Generally, no. Not much benefit really.
What do you think of cheap SSDs like PNY ($100 for 1tb) vs Samsung Evo ($170 for 1tb)? I am keeping important work data on cloud.
I would go with hdd slower but has way more storage for my games I use my ssd for booting windows tho.
does anyone know why my games installed on hdd freeze for like 20 seconds regularly
tom adams because it’s a hdd. Simple.
It could be due to driver of graphic as well. Try an clean install older version. worked for me once.
What's your proccessor?
Is 1tb m.2 SSD good for OS & few games like MW, R6S & CSGO, then a 4tb HDD for the rest of my games, good?
What is OS
Forget what I just said
I have ssd and HDD in my laptop. I got a Kingston 120GB a400 and a laptop thin HDD 500GB
where you install games?
Got 2 Intel 750 pcie for gaming so much better all around and no cables so saved space in my rig
Did have 2 wd velociraptors 600gb model in raid 0 but ssd the way to go for now and the future as it help everyday gamer
Never go back
But great video very interesting
And samsung 960 evo m.2 for Windows boot. As it's better for loading times for Windows and programs
U just reminded me of something terrible I have a 8g ram for laptop and I looked everywhere for another one and finally found a 1g ram which is useless than anything
so ssd right ?
It's not an interesting test at all, you should've tested the m.2 vs the SSD.
M.2 vs a HDD are you serious?
setitfree78 This is an ideal test for people wondering whether to go to an SSD. If you're worrying about SATA vs M.2 for games, forget about it, they're basically identical.
Nope... No difference between NVME and Sata (in games of course)
Great comparison ,i have Samsung NVME ssd for gaming my question is gaming on ssd's can reduce it's lifespan or make it damaged quickly ? or it's ok
SSDs are generally only 'damaged' during writes, so besides the installation of the game, it should be alright.
thanks for fast answer !
TechteamGB don't m.2 ssds run hotter though?
I want to stream and game which should i buy?
Ehhh I donno, I have a pc with 250gb SSD and 1TB HDD and I think it’s enough because on my laptop that I played on I had 475 GB- 😟
Can I make a games updates go on a hard drive?
+TechteamGB is there much difference in gaming between sata and m.2 SSD drives? Could you possibly do a video compare h few SSD drives.
I don't think there will be a massive difference between M.2 and SSD for gaming specifically. Might have a test and see though.
Dude there's is NO performance difference other than an almost 24/7 fps stability for high quantity generated object game inc online gaming.
Example . I play witcher 3 1080p @ 60 fps , i tried running the game on HDD,
in toussaint while some few object was loading for like 4-5 seconds, fps drop to 55 but got back to 60 soon after.
I want to buy a pc basically just for gaming im going to buy a ssd and a hdd i will put my games and windows on sdd but what would i put on my hdd
I really need a SSD because my HDD is getting laggy it seems like but I don't have an M.2 slot so I guess I just have to go with a SATA SSD. BTW, I have a problem with PUBG, I get a lag spike each time I open my inventory. Do you think an SSD might fix that?
ne0tic prob not, maybe tho.
ELEMAYOH WTF are u trying to say :D
If opening the inventory makes it load more images, models or textures, then an SSD will most likely get rid of that problem.
so is better to use hdd or ssd?
ssd if u have the money
Your videos are awesome!!!
+Jared Dooley thanks Jared!
TechteamGB You are welcome man. Should I build or buy a gaming pc. My limit is 3,500 to 4,000. Do you think I can get anything good for that price? I'm scared of building a gaming pc because I might break something or order the wrong parts. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
+Jared Dooley what currency is that?
TechteamGB U.S. Dollar is my currency .
So for example can I install world of Warcraft on my ssd or will it slow my pc down, I have a decent pc tho 16gb ram 512gb ssd
My pc have ssd only. Git rid of hdd. Huge difference for me. Not only load times but gamplay have less lag with my 1060. No bs it's almost like I have a bigger video card.
Is it ok if i use only SSD for OS and Data storage? And what about life span of SSD?
@@AliRaza-yp3uz SSD technology is such now that you will never have to worry about the drive losing data before you are ready to replace it with something faster, larger, better. Keep a backup of your data of course, as you always should .. but there are no worries. SSD tech has improved greatly in just the last couple years. Cheers!
nice thumbnail
which do you recomend as first drive ssd or hdd
SSD by far!
Hey bud your video helped i subscribed and like
I run hdd only, even windows. Have no problems. It's more than fast enough
Tobs Try your OS on an SSD, you'll never ever go back to an HDD, everything is so much snappier.
Same. The speed of a 7200RPM HDD is still fine for me. I don't really care about my game taking an an extra 20 seconds to load. My laptop has an SSD, so I know how fast it can be. But still, meh.
warm boot yes, because the header stand still at the disk location. cold boot, SDD win.
When i play some games on my laptop there is a stutter, are the ssd will help to fix it?
there is no difference from a normal sata and evo ssd on games, games have a "limit" to write and read speeds and is not higher than a regular ssd with 500 mb/s in reading and writing.the evo is more for rendering making video or other things(these have a limit too,a normal ssd is enought) so is a waste of money buying samsung evo x ,yesterday i buy a 500g ssd sata 3 for 50 euro :)
(sorry,bad english)
I have 512 gb ssd,do you think that’s enough or do i need hdd for gaming?
Nah u don't need a hhd for gaming
i noticed stuttering playing games on HDD.. is this normal?
If the HDD is too slow then that's a problem.
If I play Bf1 3 Hours a day. How Much DWPD would it be?
Hi, can you help me please? I have a razer blade 15 with 250gb internal hd. I want to use a external drive for my steam libary.. im confused? should i use external ssd via usb 3.0 or USB-C for best performance? Or is external m.2 good to use? Thank you for any help.
In theory type c runs over USB 3.1 Gen 2 so 10GB/s so NVME drives could see a bit of a benefit, but generally I wouldn't recommend that for value for money.
thanks for your reply.
Recently I have been experiencing really long loading time on one game 'Rainbow Six Siege', I dont understand why as I have played hours of it before and my loading time was amazing. I dont know how or why it started, I only know it started shortly after the new update 'Operation Para Bellum' I dont know how to fix this and I already have both HDD and SSD in my pc pre-built. If you have an idea please reply.
Is the game installed on the HDD?
I had it on SDD but it ran out of space so I moved my gamed over to HDD and I didn't have any issues with it for 7-8 month's
Try defragmenting your HDD.
just did literally before you said. thanks for your help. I'll see how it goes.
got a new sub because of your 'customer service'
You should test some turn based games like civilization 6 and something from total war.
Should of instead held the middle finger up on the HDD lol
Is it possible to install and play games from an external SSD? And do the games run slower from an external SSD?
What's the best to use?
if money is no option, SSD for everything. If you are on a budget, 120GB or 240GB SSD for boot, 1 or 2TB HDD for games.
Do u need a hardrive if you hav an ssd
As long as you have enough space on the ssd, no

It's maily for photo and video editing but also occasional gaming like LOL or Cs go? Thanks in advance
What you Need to do to have MORE FPS is to buy new Video Card!!! not this SSD SHIT MEN!
SSD is only good for MMO gaming or any game where you need to load something like maps.
Other games are fine in HDD
Am I right? Correct me if I'm wrong❤.
if you run out of sdd
nope, just got a ssd put blackops 4 on it it runs worse then my 10 year old laptop
What about external
Good video
Thanks!

Is a 128 gb ssd + 1 tb hdd enough??
for sure yeah
misleading title.... M.2 is by all means no ssd
+AKUMA it is an ssd, so I'm a little confused as to what you mean. Please can you clarify?
when searching for a comparison between an ssd to HDD I'm thing a sata ssd not a nvme ssd....I'm looking to replace my mechanical HDD with sata ssd.
Can ssd help to load faster textures
That's more your GPU, I think SSD is more for loading screens
