I currently have COVID and can say, it is very surreal. This big scary thing that I've been avoiding and altering my life for for months and months now came to me. I wasn't even being risky either, Covid came to me in my own fucking house of all places. It will come from the place you expect it least and you truly can not be too careful. But, I am on day 7 after my first symptom and it really is very minor. I'm a 30 year old male, I do smoke(not currently), I don't have the greatest diet but I am fairly fit and active. It started with a raspy throat for a few days, followed by 1-2 days of 99 degree fever, followed by some congestion and runny nose. Mild headaches and body aches come and go but nothing I would've ever thought twice about had the word "covid-19" not existed. I would've still been working, I wasn't bed ridden or anything like that- just a mild cold. I would say the most noticeable thing was pain behind my eyes when looking around, a nagging pain in my upper back by my shoulder blade, and the loss of smell. I love perfume and fragrance so that is REALLY hard for me. But I think there is a lot of misinformation out there and a lot of fear mongering by the media as well. It's very real and nothing to be taken lightly- but it is not the end of your world if you get it
I’m sorry to hear this, but happy for you now that you got over it. Thanks for sharing your story! I hope this will be over soon. Stay safe everyone 🙏🏼
