hey! As Wildwood's world ambassador, saying you are going to Wildwood or going to the Wildwoods are both ok. The island that Wildwood is on is called "the Wildwoods" because it is made up of many different towns such as North Wildwood, Wildwood, West Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, and Diamond Beach (yea ignore that last one). To say you are going to the Wildwoods refers to going to the island. Also, next time you are down let us know! We can take you to the best places.
Thank you, Jacob for all the time you put into your work. My wife and I are pretty much housebound, and you bring the world back to us. Thank you many times over even when you are very tired you produce interesting videos. Mike
I was the driver of the tram you got on. I didn’t realize it was you until the watched the video. Sorry I didn’t say hi to you. Best tip to get on the tram is wave hi to the driver or conductor and we will stop for you.
@@reese9030 That driver was Beverly. I showed her the video and she was confused about the video and her reaction. She wasn’t trying to say No, she was trying to say what to Jacob and continued. Usually when we get down to that section of the boardwalk past the convention center, we tell people to hop on a tram going in the other direction because it is only a couple blocks till the end of the boardwalk and the fare is $5.00 in each direction.
@@mollysmith1226 last year I saw him and recognized him as soon as I past him on the boardwalk. He filmed my tramcar towards the end of the video last year and I was driving. I was probably so tired that I didn’t look up but heard him say stop to get on the tramcar.
Feeding the gulls is actually illegal I believe...they get accustomed to being hand fed and will basically attack you and steal your food.....winged rats
I spent every summer in Wildwood for the first 34 years of my life and my family went for decades before that. It's unfortunately become too expensive to keep doing it, so it's been a few years since I've gone, but words cannot express how much I miss it. Every sight and sound of the beach and the boardwalk, the tram cars, the piers, the rides; all etched into my mind. Dante's Inferno, the Great Nor'easter, the Great White, Mack's Pizza. I'm old enough to remember Dracula's Castle, too. So great to see you enjoying it, Jacob! Also, for those wondering, it's sometimes called 'The Wildwoods' because it's made up of several towns; Wildwood, North Wildwood, West Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest.
Same here...started going as a kid in 1990 when they had the rickety old bridge going into North Wildwood next to the old shanty town. We used to go to the peirs and water park during the day, boardwalk at night, have pizza, funnel-cake, fired oreos, lemonade and fudge. Then we'd sit on the beach for two days, hotel pool for two days. We went every year up till 2014 when my sisters and cousins went to college, then we'd just make day trips.
Dracula's castle was one of my favorite spots on the boardwalk. It's a shame that fire destroyed it. Out of all the different attractions, it stood out the most in my opinion. Lots of good memories there
just got home from wildwood today, and it was the most expensive it's ever been. I've been going since I was born and this year was INSANE in terms of pricing everywhere!
@@christinedelozier You have to do more research...we do wildwood each year and it's still the cheapest vacation you can do...Beach every day, rides every night, ice cream every night, mini golf ,gokarts, eating out, bike rides.......7 nights...all activities, eating out...all for under 3k........tell me if you find something cheaper...........

Jacob had me cracking up as he tried to get the tram to stop for him. “Watch the tram car please”. You are so fun and wholesome Jacob. I love the views from the tram. I would definitely spend the $5.00 for that. It sure looks like a nice place to visit. You can’t go wrong doing anything in an ocean town. Maybe one year Jacob could do the summer of boardwalks and travel north to south on the east coast. Thanks Jacob for taking us on another fun adventure.
I no longer live in NJ; but Wildwood has been our favorite boardwalk. Spent many of days there. Love seeing you doing the Jersey Shore. Enjoy your stay in NJ.
For some reason I used to watch you when I was younger, and when you went there. I was there at the same Place as you! south Jersey wildwood. I live in Bridgeton I wish I could've seen you
Watch the tram car please. Watch the tram car please. Watch the tram car please. I'm going to be hearing that nasally voice in my dreams for a long time to come.
Can you imagine working on the pier at a shop, and hearing that throughout the entire 8 hour day?? I'm pretty sure hazard pay doesn't exist for shop workers😂
That happened to me at Hershey Park. I was walking through the boardwalk part next to the Howler ride when the lady announcer kept repeating the weather for the ride closure. Ugh, so annoying. We didn't get rain that day though and it was in 2009.
"Watch the tram car please". 😂 As a native NJ resident, I'd probably go nuts from hearing that all day. Though I haven't been there in a long time, it still looks as awesome as I remember. 😊 Though I didn't know they had an aquarium here, I love that at 34:46 they have the hedgehog with a Sonic background. 😂😂
Seing Jacob put all the hard work makes me feel soo grateful for him😭 ❤ I hope you get all the things in the world and all the love. I really appreciate all of your effort 🫂
The Dark Ride king back with more awesome content! Our family visited here for the very first time in July and absolutely loved every bit of these amusement piers! ❤
Wow, that's a nice board walk. When I was there 30 years ago, it never looked that clean. Thanks for the vlog carpetbagger. That was super cool to see wildwood. It is diffently going to be a trip for me. Thank you, man, for this video. :)
used to go to wildwood every summer, never rode that g-damned thing. wildwood had some great dark rides though, going back a long time. dante's has been around in some form or another for many decades.
The sign says WILDWOODS because there's West Wildwood (the bay side, good fishing/seafood), North Wildwood (mostly residential), Wildwood (the part with the boardwalk attractions), Wildwood Crest (mostly condos and motels), and Wildwood Gables (residential).
Thank you Jacob. Loved this. You are getting so fit these days. I was comparing you to some of your old vlogs. You are looking so good. Love to Jen. Bev GB 🇬🇧
I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't go on the Great Nor'Easter, or at least the Sea Serpent. Both great non-wooden coasters. My favorite flavor at Clusters (the popcorn place) is the garlic parmesan. Sooooo good!
That was an amazing video n you, Sir, are More than a trouper!!! Not only did you get passed by by the tram, you walked all that way back to your car to get your chest camera to enable us to see this WONDERFUL place called Wildwoods!! A local here, they have a tram car shop there that’s on the very end of the boardwalk entering Wildwood Crest. They have everything tram car related. If you’re still in Cape May County area check out Cape May Point and see what’s left of the wreck ship “ the Atlantis” and look for Cape May diamonds. I highly recommended it visiting there.
Thanks for the video. My family used to vacation in the Wilwoods every year. As an adult I have not been back for years. It was nice to see it still has a great boardwalk and amusement piers. I see it took a while for you to master the stop signal for the tram car. You are now getting more comfortable with riding roller coasters. That big wooden coaster The Great White Shark is one of the best ones I have ridden. As you noted it has good thrills but rides rather smooth. The tram car coaster is rather new but a great addition to the coaster choices. It looks fun and not too big to scare new coaster riders from enjoying it. At the end it was nice to see the Boardwalk chapel is still there. That has been operating since I was a youngster in the 1960’s. While you enjoyed the French fries you missed what is considered one of the best Pizza pie places in Wildwood, Mac’s Pizza is well known as the best and has several locations on the boardwalk. I look forward to your continuing future adventures.
You screaming on the wooden roller coaster gave me the laughter I needed today, thank you. Lol It was pretty awesome of you to go back and get the camera too. You didn't have to film any rides so thank you for making it happen. : )
