Do not forget the TL 1000 and SV 1000 versions also. Great rumbling sound on those bikes.
My dad owned a TL1000R and it was by far the best sounding bike I've ever heard in my life, I used to love the sound of an inline 4 screaming it's arse off but after hearing that I fell in love with V-twins. he unfortunately swapped the bike for a gen 1 unrestricted Hayabusa as the TL scared the life out of him lol. hasn't even ridden the busa yet

@@MenderSlen579 yes lol, he says it’s easier to control since the TL is a vtwin so it has a lot of low end torque, his TL also had a quarter throttle so he always complained that he couldn’t set off smooth without the bike trying to set a new 0-60mph time haha. The TL got its nickname “widow maker” for a reason
@@chandler5840 those formula 1 style rear suspension is very dangerous but very fun to ride! My dad survived the tank slap on '98 TL1000s and He never scared of it!

2 cylinder bikes sound a lot better in my opinion. i like the deep sound of my yamaha mt 07 ixil hyperlow.
In my opinion, 2 cylinders sound like V8s of bikes
its a shame i cand get a recording of my dads ducati SS, its louder and thumpier than everything here, the motoguzzi sounds pretty close though just add mr bonham kicking his bass drum harder than ever

The MT-07 is certainly fun and joyfull! Part of the reason I ride one is the amazing engine sound. It’s not the sound of the exhaust that I love but the actual mechanical sound of the engine. Even with the factory exhaust, the engine sounds like two small hammers hitting on a hollow block of wood at thousands of times per minute. It creates a wonderful resonance with a perfect amount of vibration that makes you feel as if your body is connected to the engine, but without any discomfort. I have ridden it for 4 years now and have no desire to upgrade to a larger more expensive bike at all, it is a perfect balance of enjoyment, simplicity and low price in my opinion

Sounds like any inline twin to me . Sounds like some old engines from the early 70's that came out of Japan . Like the honda 350 and 360;s . Not bad but I really did not like how they sounded but they was vary good bike for the time .
KTMs V-Twins are amazing, it puts a smile on my face every time I start up the 950 Adventure with those twin Leo Vince pipes!
That Guzzi V7, man. Delightful. The more open those pipes are, the better.
I love big V-twins. My Yamaha MT-01 with a 1670cc pushrod V-twin revs to only 5500 rpm & makes 'only' 90 bhp, but has 120 ft. lbs of torque & SOUNDS like thunder lol
Love them 2 cylinder v engines.I had Aprillia rsv 1000 and later Ducati 749s.Proper motorcycle sound.
You forgot to add the absolute best sounding twin cylinder... Husqvarna Nuda 900R...
And the second best sounding, the Aprilia SXV 550

All these bikes sound like vacuum cleaners. I ride an old Triumph and an even older Ducati. The sounds of Amal and Dell'ortos simply adds to the experience. And the final laugh, a plastic maggot turbo!
The old bevel Ducatis are the best sounding in my opinion. MHR 900 with Conti pipes. Also the Paton SR-1 sounds pretty flippin good.

I was surfing the youtube and the v twin aprilia shiver 750 video somehow appear. And here i am listening to the beautiful v twin. Cannot wait to finish off my debt and someday owned my own v twin. Currently on a 150cc

Man, that Thruxton sounds Amazing! Same for the moto Guzzi. Also, I do have a CB500 Twin, but in my case, its the 1975 version. Surprisingly, it's all stock, and hasn't been chopped, like I see with 90% of the 70's Honda CBs. (and before anyone asks, no, I don't plan on chopping it either!)
I have two bikes that are all stock also . A 1974 MZ TS250 and a 1975 Honda CB350 . Both are completely diffent to ride . The MZ is vary fast around the corners . I guess I should not say fast but it really easy to lean into the corners . The CB360 is not so much the case . You have to make it turn into the corners .It wants to come up on me . Did that sense new . I should have put some Koni shocks on it but didn't . I wanted to keep it stock . I still own both bikes . Your right about idiots cutting these old bikes up to what they want them to be . But those old bikes could never be any better than what they was . These people are ether on drugs or something .
You guys should also check the Husquvarna Nuda. Crazy Sound
Honda Rebel 250, LA Custom 250, CB250 Night Hawk, all of them are parallel twin engine and sound really good as well
My Kawasaki Versys 650 has a decent sounding twin, at least for a 180 degree inline twin. Think the CB500, but deeper. Still not as good sounding as a nice V-twin though. The FZ/MT-07 is probably one of the best sounding bikes out there, especially with the Akrapovic exhaust like you showed in the video.
My first (and only for over ten years now) bike is an sv650. She never gets boring
You should have included the Hyosung GT 650r, the sound is crazy with a propet exhaust

in my opinion the best is the benelli 300 with its 360 degree firing order which i cant believe was not featured here! the only two cylinder engine that sounds like an inline 3 because of its firing order!

I like the sound of the RC51, from the 916/996 era. I own an '01 996 Superhawk and it would be hard to replace the sounds it is capable of.
I have owned a ‘94 Ducati 916 Strada with 45mm Termignoni exhausts, a 2004 Aprilia RSV Factory with carbon Akrapovic exhausts.. and I currently have in my collection a ‘99 Suzuki TLR with Yoshimura exhausts.
It’s the TLR that sounds the best..
Fell in love with v-twins with my little varadero 125, amazing little machine and doesnt sound half bad!

The super duke sounds absolutely devilish
Honda VTR1000F Firestorm or Superhawk, depending on your country. beautiful 1000cc V twin carbi burble, no other twin that I have ever heard sounds as good as this (yes, subjective point of view).
Benelli tnt 300 is also a 2 cylinder bike which sounds amazingly similar to a 4 cylinder bike.
Similar to an angry bee.. when you really hear it you can't really compare it to a 4 cylinder sound xD
And that's why i'm getting a bandit 400, 58hp, cheap, cheap insurance, amazing sound, easily and heavily customizable look. Mt07 sounds good with a proper exhaust, it's tremendously fun but i like real colors.. it looks a bit too much like a stealth jet to me, else there is the Hyosung GT 650R which sounds incredible with a good exhaust, only problem is that it's a sportbike and since we can't fit proper frame sliders (crash bar, 2-3 anchor points sliders or top blocks) it's just too risky.
Else i have a green er6n (first gen) i love the look, it drives.. like an old bike xD but the sound is horrible, at least not great at all
I got an F800R (same engine as Nuda) decatalized, with no muffler ! Sound beastly !
I sell it soon for a R1200RS ! Can't wait !

Best sounding? Not the KTM or Aprilia. The 72 and 60 degree V angles make them sound like someone singing out of pitch, or nails on a chalk board. And why include the SV650 while excluding the TL1000R that is the bigger and racier version of the same engine?

I just cracked 1,200 miles on my 2023 Moto Guzzi V7 Stone. The newer V7's (2021-present) have a more powerful 850cc engine that makes 65 hp. Despite that, the bike doesn't want you to ride it fast. Moto Guzzi is more about the journey than the destination. You'll find yourself taking in the scenery and feeling like you have all the time in the world.

Muscle bikes are the go. Super sports may look nice but a naked V/L twin bike just looks and sounds tough.
The Suzuki SFV one sounds so brutal
The KTM Super Duke R 1290 sounds so good for a 2 cylinder bike
Most of them sport Akrapovic exhausts, no wonder that they sound good. Akrapovic is the masterrace of exhausts.

One of the stranger sounding bikes to me, is the big VTX1800's that Honda made in the 2k's. They have a very unique sound, very unlike a V-twin, and sound pretty crazy at higher revs, more like a race bike than a v-twin with the right exhaust.

I miss the "end all be all " Vtwin with the best and most recognizable sound: The ducati 851, a deep dark sound at low revs, but as soon as you hit 7000 rpm, all hell breaks loose!
The Ducati Pangigale is L Twin 90° not V Twin
A V twin is any degree of angle less than 180 therefor all 90 degree v twins are indeed v twins eg Ducati Moto Guzzi etc.

I wish they had the Honda GT650 N up here . Those bikes was really good in the curves and they had some power to wieght ratio's . Bike only weight in at 390 pounds or less . I owned one and I should have never sold it .
Husqvarna Nuda and Yamaha Crossplane 2 engine are the best sounding twins ever.
I miss the awesome sounding big twins from the cruiser scene they sound very sweet too if you like the thunder XD

IMO, the best BY FAR are the little Ninja 300's 180º cranked parallel twin (not in the video) and that big BMW boxer. I love how angry the first one sounds in high RPM's and how smooth the second sounds all the time.
Honorable mention: husqvarna nuda and benelli tnt 300i
The Yamaha was the best sounding out of them all, but personall can’t beat the sound of a Harley
