    Snoke being Plagueis would be absolutely fantastic. I say give the people what they want and that is to tie all of the movies together.Disney should save their created villains for a trilogy out side of these three.

      Marion Dorsley Hey calm down bro, your excessive swearing is really unnecessary. Sometimes characters who only have very little screen time or don't even appear at all in something turn out very popular because what we know about them sounds amazing. Imagining the possibilities of how incredible they could be if they appeared gives a very promising feeling, that's all. I can sort of understand why you think it's strange that 'we' (in fact the large majority of the community who know about him) like him so much, but you have absolutely no reason to exaggerate this much.

      It wouldn't make much sense for Snoke to be a completely new character otherwise he would have no significance in the Star Wars Universe it might tease in the Last Jedi that Snoke created the Skywalkers when Rey meets Snoke and that's what the only reveal in the Last Jedi would be, and with the James Luceno novel on Plagueis no longer being canon Plagueis does not have to be a Munn otherwise the audience of the expanded universe would know right away who Snoke is and thus spoiling it.

    I like the theory for the same reasons - it connects all three trilogies. Perhaps Luke has learned the truth about the origin of the Skywalkers. That's why he eventually disappeared after the battle for Endor. He tried to understand it or something.
    Just image Snoke fighting Luke. Cutting of his left Hand. Luke screams. Snoke says: "Obi-Wan and Yoda never told you the truth about your father." "He was the chosen one!" "No, No I am your Grandfather!" "That's not true! That's impossible!" "Search your feelings! You know it's true!".... End Scene

    I mean Kylo said "he is wise". He could have described his master in SO MANY other ways but J.J picked these words. Not often words to describe a sith, in my opinion. From the release of TFA this has been theory except for one difference. I do not think Shmi was a prisoner or experimented on. I think Plaguis unleashed his power into the universe, reaching out directly to the force itself. This power happened to plant itself in a host through the ritual he and possibly Palpatine conducted together. (Unless for some reason they found themselves on tatooine to conduct this ritual) - quite possible being that this planet is completely ignored by core worlds and would be a perfect breeding ground for this next creation). The reason why this theory is the best despite plaguis being an incredible threat and linking all the movies together is because it gives the Skywalker blood line purpose for their talents, their power and the "touch of destiny" about them. (yes that's a pirates of the carribean term since Will holds the aztec gold coin for all those years.) In anycase, I honestly think the entire star wars staff has been lying to us about snoke, to throw us off. Remember when J.J said Kahn wasn't in star trek? Then look what happened lol. They don't mind lying to us because it's for the sake of all of us fans to be thrown off and NOT know so the reveal is really great, despite all of us creating theories daily one of which by this point has to be right. There are so many out there. I also believe that these two sith didn't know how their experimented concluded, meaning they didn't know if it had worked or not. When Palpatine meets Anakin as a boy, I think he finally realizes who he is, when he says "we will look on your career with great interest". I am sure he recognized his master's signature, or power, etc. I also wondered if Plaguis is currently in a host body - anakins body, rescued from the fire, preserved by the armor. Or else why would the scars by exactly the same to vaders??? AND, why does he know exactly what happened in the throne room in return of the jedi, unless he inherited Anakins memories once invading his body. And why else would Kylo be so subservient to vader's legacy. How creepy would it be if even after he died, Anakin was taken over my plaguis. I know this takes star wars to a creepy place, but imagine Luke's horror to confront Snoke and see his father's appearance before him..... I mean Snoke looks like a corpse. Either he has been regenerating in a weakened state all of this time, hidde in unknown space or his host is a corpse.....

    Ive always found ambiguous the whole "Plagueis created Anakin" concept, people tend to believe in this but I remember Lucas himself said Anakin was the Force's response to Plagueis experiments, not the experiments itself. And I think this is the key to all the answers.
    IMO Snoke's identity is that he is Plagueis creation; this would make defeating Snoke the true purpose of Anakin's birth , thus connecting the whole saga and making Snoke the biggest and most crucial enemy of the Skywalkers lineage.

    "To cheat death is a power only one has achieved" - Sidious to Anakin after he saves Sidious from Mace Windu
    Although he did tell Anakin that Plageuis was killed by his apprentice, he also acknowledges that Plageuis cheated death.
    If Palpatine had told Anakin that Plageuis was still alive and had this ability, Anakin would surely go looking for Plageuis instead of pledging himself to Sidious. Also, the name is easily explained. Sith take on new names when they become sith, and drop those names if they leave the sith for the most part. Palpatine-Sidious, Anakin-Vader, Tyrannus-Dooku, so on and so on. Snoke could just be Plageuis after he went into hiding after the attempted assassination by Sidious. Maybe Snoke was his original name before he took the mantle Darth Plageuis

    *To cheat death is a power only one has achieved. But if we work together, I know we can discover the secret."*
    - Darth Sidious, ROTS
    I'm not sure I heard the above quote in the video, but it is very telling and supports the theory since Lucas had the idea to do all 9 movies when he was writing the prequels. So, even though Disney now owns Lucasfilm, it's not out of the realm of possibility that this could happen. I do think that they would have to do a tremendous and creative job at writing TLJ, which does seem like a stretch considering how TFA was. The reason I say this is that DC has done something very similar with their X-Men: Apocalypse movie.
    I'm still holding out for a major plot twist in TLJ. To be honest, I've never heard this theory, but I do like it. I think there's two main twists that could happen: [1] Luke unknowingly killed Rey's parents just after they left her on Jakku, which is the tipping point and she turns to the Dark Side, or [2] Snoke is Plagues - he cheated death, as per Sidious.

    I've always liked the idea of Snoke being Plagueis. Its an imperfect concept for sure, but if the Plagueis book has indeed been removed from canon, than Plagueis may not even be a Munn anymore. Literally all we would know about him would be Palpatine's conjecture from the Opera House scene, which could be 100% Bullsith itself. I would be totally stoked if Snoke is Plagueis (say that 10 times, fast, lol). Something has to tie all three trilogies together, no matter how badly Disney wishes to distance themselves from the prequels. If ever there was a way to do this, than finally bringing to life "Darth Plagueis the Wise," from arguably the best scene of the prequel trilogy, would be it.
    I also love the idea that Rey is some kind of Imperial/dark side creation, and that being a "creation" is what makes her "Skywalker."

    • @thorskywalker
      @thorskywalker  7 років тому +7

      It's always been my favorite theory... and probably still will be even after we learn the truth and it turns out to be wrong. I love that Opera House scene so much and want to see it pay off here in the sequel trilogy. I dare say that scene is the most intriguing in the whole damn saga... the whole story is just told so beautifully by Palps and you wish you could sit there with him and hear more stories about the Sith.
      You're also right that Plagueis doesn't even have to be a Muun anymore, even though Lucas confirmed it was his species... it hasn't been shown anywhere or mentioned anywhere "cannon" so it could certainly be changed and be part of what they were hoping would throw people off.

    And it could be that the reason Palpatine, and only Palpatine, could hear a voice from the unknown region was because it was the voice of his old master that he still has a connection to (like when he needed Dooku to help him kill Yoda on Moroban because they were master and apprentice and had a strong connection). He just doesn't recognize the voice because it's coming from a new body.

    About the Skywalker line, I would love for them to show us more about that family pre-Shmi era. The name Skywalker just sounds too important to have begun with Shmi and her giving birth to Anakin. It'd be cool to see the Skywalkers have a prominence in keeping the force in balance even thousands of years ago but somehow their family's force abilities were cut off or made irrelevant by some sith/dark side user. Then, when the force needed to be re-balanced, it chose a member of the Skywalker bloodline, Shmi, to give birth to the next generation of Skywalkers who would bring back, and keep, the balance in the force through Anakin, Luke and Leia.

    • @thorskywalker
      @thorskywalker  7 років тому +6

      I think that's one of the greatest questions in Star Wars: Was Shmi truly just a random women chosen... or has the Skywalker line been important before?

    • @loantastic6140
      @loantastic6140 7 років тому +1

      Doesn't sound dumb to me because I know practically nothing about Revan other than he was light and dark at points and his memory was supressed (i think). Only know the movies, Force Unleashed games and some Clone Wars and Rebels. It'd make sense, from what I know, for that to be possible if they bring Revan back in a similar fashion as his EU form.

    One plot point fascinates me - that Snoke "witnessed the rise and fall of the Empire." The nature of that line seems to suggest he had to be there during the events of the original trilogy and likely earlier. I don't get the impression that he was watching from the outer regions through force visions or anything. If that's the case, then perhaps essence transfer is the most likely option. Snoke's appearance is also very, very suspicious to me. I have a hard time believing he was brutally attacked and damaged to that degree if he's this masterfully powerful being. I think there is a very reasonable chance his appearance has to due with supernatural factors. Perhaps the essence transfer takes an immense physical toll on the host.

    • @SelahViolinist

      Snoke's appearance is very suspicious to me as well. His scars look very similar to Vader's, yet he obviously has arms and hands whereas Vader lost his. Snoke is soooo mysterious

      Is it possible that in the 30+ years from the time Plagues was "killed" until TFA that he went off to the outer rim and got stronger in the force? This would explain why he could have been defeated back then but not now.

    Is there any canon reference to Plaguies being a Muun other than in his book? If not, then it's very possible for Plaguies to be, and look like anything since his Muun description is no longer canon.
    The strongest, most convincing evidence that made me a Snoke=Plaguies believer when the theory first surfaced was the announcement that everything in the 6 films were absolute canon. Plaguies' book tied into the prequels, and they still decided to convert to novel to non canon/Legends. The only reason I could understand them doing this is of they had already planned to rewrite his character. Or make some major changes in story.

    It would be so cool if Snoke turns out to be Plagueis. The story arch would be like fucking great.
    Making Rey the chosen one would be absolutely horrible though and devalue the complete saga. I mean in the prequels and the clone wars series the focus was on anakin and him being the chosen one. if this turns out to be untrue, Episode 1-6 + CW become meaningless in regard to this crucial story element.

      true, John Williams is a brilliant composer. I could totally see him knitting Snoke together with Plagueis in that way. He also made Rey's Theme into a perfect compliment to the Force Theme, which is often associated with Luke. You should look it up if you haven't already seen it :D

      Jonathan Wroughton I totally agree, he is a fantastic composer and his music is almost as iconic as the movies. But he has already linked Pelagius and snoke, the music that was playing when sidious was telling the story to a Annakin at the concert is the same music that plays in the background when we see snoke.

    Tommy Faust wow... what a truly profound critique/reply of Fred Svenlin 's idea lol... It's unbelievable how many rude people I see in these comment sections who just can't seem to understand why we make and discuss these theories in the first place. Its not about guessing what exactly will happen and trying to be right all the time. We enjoy exploring the story/universe, speculating about different possibilities, and then having our fellow fans expand on those ideas. Its suppose to be about having fun discussing something you love with others who share that same passion. So it irritates me how often I read fans like Fred give an insightful/interesting take on a story they enjoy exploring only to receive rude, uninspired replies that contribute absolutely nothing to the conversation. Btw, I actually really hope you dont take this the wrong way. I'm honestly not just trying to be a dick or call you out for no reason. It's just that everywhere I look I see this happening and I'd really like to see some improvement..... (I know wishful thinking right?) lol.... Thor Skywalker what do you think? I couldn't agree with you more. It really surprises me when people get ANGRY about a theory I post as if I have/had some control over how the story will actually play out. Or when someone gets attacked in the comments for posting their own idea or theories. I think some people miss the point of why I make these videos... and that's for simple enjoyment, and to get people thinking and talking about this thing all of us love: Star Wars. Honestly, my favorite part in making these videos is the great conversations I've had with so many people in the comments section. I reply and chat with as many people as time (and my other responsibilities in this life) permit. I've met a lot of cool, passionate Star Wars fans here and I look forward to getting to chat with so many more. And I'm happy to say the number of cool people far outnumbers those who come here seemingly to try and spoil the fun.

    Great video. I have thought that the big reveal is either about Snoke or Rey, in that order, and may include Luke's origins. I mean, it almost has to be that, if it's the biggest reveal ever. If it's true that we're not supposed to learn much about Snoke in this episode, then I'm going with Rey. I imagine for Rey's big reveal, then, it could be most anything. There are plenty of theories out there and even some new ones we haven't thought about.

  • @TheologyAsResistance
    @TheologyAsResistance 7 років тому +1

    Thanks Thor for all the great vids!
    I thought about this transference theory last summer because I think it solves a number of issues. (1) As others have said, a Plaguies continuity would ties all the trilogies together. (2) Palpatine's 20 year reign as emperor makes the Sith look ridiculous. A thousand years of the "rule of two" in order to destroy the Jedi and rule the galaxy, and D. Sidious can only maintain power for a paltry 20 years. That is weak. Plaguies-transferred-to-Snoke plot line redeems the legacy of the now defunct Sith. (3) The transference theory would also explain Snoke's interest in Kylo Ren in particular, rather than any one of Luke's other apprentices or even some other random guy strong in the force. Plaguies/Snoke wants the special lineage of bodies he's created. (4) JJ Abrams said he wanted a story where we get to see the main villain grow into a Darth Vader-like status. And, we know Disney wants more trilogies. Put those two together and the Pelaguies transferred into Snoke theory allows for an attempted redemption of Kylo that fails. Pelaguies wins in Ep XI and transfers into Kylo, making Adam Driver a truly Darth Vader level nemesis for the next trilogy.

    • @thorskywalker
      @thorskywalker  7 років тому +1

      You touched on something that has always bothered me: That Palpatine's rule was so short. Before the Prequel trilogy I'd always imagined the Empire had been around for a long time... and that 'The Emperor' looked so old in the original trilogy because he'd been ruling it for so long. I assumed the Clone Wars had been some type of final stand against him that failed and morphed into the Rebellion against him to some extent.

    • @TheologyAsResistance
      @TheologyAsResistance 7 років тому

      Thanks for the reply! Yes, I imagined the Clone Wars being completely different and unrelated to the rise of Palpatine. But though I don't really care for the prequels (in terms of their execution), I do think Luca's overall outline for Palpatine's takeover was pretty impressive. I was unsettled by the emperor's short reign once I read about the history of the Sith in the expanded universe. A Sith emperor ruling for a millennia made Sidious' short-lived empire seem so anticlimactic and rather unimpressive. But then again, that Old Republic story is no longer canon, if it ever was.

    I have a feeling that it's going to be Palpatine. He had all of the resources to actually attempt to achieve it. Along with nobody in his way to stop him from testing all of the new techniques.
    Plus, it would explain why Kylo Ren believed what Snoke was talking about. He could have done the same thing that he did to anakin to make him turn to the dark side. The incompetence of the Jedi slowly exposing the hypocrisy of the teachings while at the academy and he could have told him stories of what his grandfather was like to intrigue him because you would imagine that his parents would not tell him about Vader. As well as Luke for a matter of fact. I see it as the children of a former nazi who committed unspeakable acts not wanting to tell their kid about their family member.

    I hope you do a video on the news that Anakin's lightsaber is now officially rey's. I can't believe I forgot about this, but kyber (sp?) crystals "called out" to Younglings in Rebels. Therefore, it's not really the sabers that called to Rey, but the crystal itself. And since she took the saber, she was really agreeing to be adopted to it and it's history. AND THAT'S HOW she'll become an actual Skywalker.
    You said before you didn't considered Luke to have a traditional family because he was adopted by aunt and uncle, but to me, that's VERY traditional: parents die and FAMILY steps up to the challenge of parenthood. Luke never called Beru and Owen mom and dad because they already had a biological family role.
    Leia was a bit different. I'm not sure when she found out she was adopted, but it was still an official adoption. And "modern" in the fact she was told she was adopted at some point.
    On to your current theory. It seems plausible. Not sure if they'll go there, but since lie ALL the time, whatever Palatine told Anakin could just be half truths and lies to fulfill his needs.
    I've come to view midichlorions as a scientific way to measure the force. But since there are so many other factors that affect any jedi's abilities, it's not a very good yard stick and therefore not too important.
    The balance in the Force is also wildly speculative. Lucas has said that it was kind of similar to the ying-yang. Each side is equal, but there's always a small amount of dark in the light and vice versa. So to be truly balanced, in my opinion, you have to have equal numbers of jedi and sith. And since there were a ton of Jedi in the prequels, that is what ultimately forced the scale to tip in favor of the Sith. With that, I am hoping to see Luke explain some of this when he says that there's so much more to Light and Dark. What will truly bring balance to the force? What will end the see-saw battle?
    *I didn't proof read this,please excuse mistakes or babbling*

    • @thorskywalker
      @thorskywalker  7 років тому +1

      My bad. When I said it's not a 'traditional family', I really meant what was once thought of as a traditional family. Nowadays, families can and do have all sorts of different compositions, and that's cool. I truly feel you don't have to have the same blood running through your veins as another to be a part of their family, if that makes sense.
      I also do kinda agree with you, when Rey took up the saber she became a member of the Skywalker family one way or another, no matter who her parents will be. I'm also very curious to see if this new trilogy ends with the Force in balance, and what Disney/Lucasfilm decide what balance to truly be.

    i'm still hanging onto the Plagueis theory with the tips of my fingers!... I won't give up on it!
    Snoke could STILL totally be Plagueis... via Ryan Johnson.
    What we know: Snoke had ZERO character development in the Force Awakens... and Lawrence Kasdan (at the time he made that statement, alluding to the fact that he didn't know who Plagueis was) had NO idea what Ryan Johnson was planning to do with these character in The Last Jedi.
    Johnson could totally flip the switch on who Snoke is, thus include that Snoke is none other than Darth Plagueis.
    But then recently, I read that Snoke won't have much character development in The Last Jedi. Rumor or truth? December can't come soon enough!

    I always liked the idea of Snoke being Plagueis but over time I've grown to like the idea of him being something new like an ancient being of the dark side who's been trapped in the unknown regions for a very long time, I'd probably enjoy either but I feel like there's more interesting places to take it if he is something other than Plagueis though.

    i woke up at 3:11 AM to pee and saw at 2:53 (my time) you posted this... i ALMOST gave you a buzz to yell at you for posting a video that was the ENTIRE REASON i got into the youtube starwars video community 18 months ago, so late in the middle of the night lol... i went "of COURSE im dead friggin tired and he posts a video about WHO IS SNOKE when i can barely keep my eyes open and gotta wait"...but then, im sure WORK and all, got in late, got it ready late etc etc.... anyway, enough complaining, it's happy 40th SW day!!
    So i am in the same boat and pretty much always have been---would LOVE for him to be Darth Plagueis or some form of him, like this transference theory, but I just don't think it's gonna happen...maybe he is indeed the "Sith No One Knew Existed," and stayed hidden on purpose all these years, while watching/studying/learning all he could from previous and current Sith (at the time), so he KNOWS OF Plagueis and his work, and Sidious, and Bane and Zannah and so on and so on, and therefore there's some sorta connection there, but Snoke is still his own guy. I think they are making a mistake if they don't incorporate the prequels in some way, and not just my complete strong, passionate opinion on why Anakin ghost MUST be in episode 8. They should acknowledge some of the details of the plot, or the BIGGER plot ("it's so much bigger..") such as just where did Anakin come from, was Plagueis indeed responsible, etc., so that maybe the can "fix" some of the issues that people had with them. Not that you and I had any issues, but maybe a few mentions here and there and a few "well now THIS is the result/aftermath of this and that from episode 3" and biggidy bam, it gives much more impact and credence to stuff from eps 1-3... i'm not really sure per say that Snoke being Plagueis is going to have such a huge impact on anyone but the more hardcore fans, but if at least he has some sorta connection to the Sith of old, and even ancient Sith, is the embodiment of the dark side (like we discussed at length!) and/or has taken bits and pieces of every other sith, specifically their mistakes, and improved upon them to become the perfect intelligent weapon of evil, i think that'd be pretty cool

    • @thorskywalker
      @thorskywalker  7 років тому +1

      I was going to wait to actually post the video till the morning but then said the hell with it and 'released it into the wild' last night... mainly because I'd like to get a video/review up for A New Hope today with it being the official 40 year anniversary and all. Probably won't get that one up till tomorrow because the fiancé also has off today but I'm sure people will forgive me if it's a day late.
      And I think at some point in the near future I'm going to make a video about the topic of Disney and their fear of the prequel trilogy... and how they have an opportunity to really change people's views of it if they're not afraid to truly incorporate it into the new stuff. Making Plagueis Snoke would go a long way in doing that... and bringing Hayden back to play Force ghost Anakin would further do that (and really must happen I know we both feel). My biggest hope is that Disney realizes their best bet is to make all three trilogies feel like one huge story... and again Plagueis as the overarching villain of the whole thing is the best way to do that.
      Now even if he's not Plagueis, I do like some of the other ideas we've discussed... so I won't be upset if they don't go this route. But I will feel like it was a wasted opportunity.

  • @kylescoolclips

    Perhaps Snoke is Plagueis, but he is just a new version/interpretation or reincarnation of the character. Disney could have just changed the character of Plagueis so that it's not obvious that Snoke is Plagueis which makes sense since the EU is not canon anymore. And btw Plagueis wasn't generally obsessed with immortality like most sith, he was specifically obsessed with it in a kind of scientific way.

    what if Snoke is the son, Rey is the daughter and Luke is the father from the clone wars but reincarnated? it would explain why Snoke is obsessed with removing Luke and the Jedi because like the clone wars the son wanted to be free in the Galaxy but couldn't because of the father but in this case Snoke is partially free but needs Luke out of the way to attain his goal. now you'll probably say Rey can't be the daughter because she's nothing like her which is true, however she just might be starting to awaken her true side "force awakens" but until she learns who she truly is she is acceptable to corruption quote why Snoke wants kylo to bring her to him in order to prevent her from becoming the daughter of light in attempts to use her and kylo to kill Luke since Snoke knows that he would be strong enough to do so. if that's not the case I really hope Snoke is either plaqus the wise or revan (because it would be nice to tie in the old republic stories)

    One of the early rumored titles for Ep VII was " ancient fear" and was labeled a "working" title. That rumor had a lot of traction. If you add to that info from the Thrawn book and Aftermath, I think we're looking at a complete new character. As cool as it would be to see plagueis, I don't think it's practical at this point.

    • @thorskywalker
      @thorskywalker  7 років тому +1

      I do think you're right, and as I say in the video, for me the Plagueis theory is more of a want than what I think will actually come to pass. More than likely he is a new character that comes from the unknown regions.

    • @hutzman
      @hutzman 7 років тому

      If they had kept the Plagueis book as cannon, which I thought they should have, then I could see a fantastic and compelling story arc for all three trilogies. I think you made a great point about this in the video. But much like your Rey theory, I think they want these new faces to open the door for material beyond the new trilogy. Expanding the known universe into wild space/unknown regions/chiss ascendancy etc., with new characters frees Lucas story group to have unlimited stories without having to constantly tie things back into the older material. So, Snoke and Rey are relatively disconnected from familial relationships or sith lineage. Luke's line from the latest VIII trailer "...it's so much bigger". I think Disney/Lucas want a bigger canvas.

    The subject of transferring one's mind to another's body - if dealt with prudence - can be a home run. Humans can backup things on CD, magnetic tapes, turn it to electrical pulses (binary), make it travel through light (optical fiber), encrypt and decoded it all back. Hence how come higher advanced beings on a far away galaxy of infinite boundries couldn't develop brain data copy/cut/paste/erase/move-like capabilities? It doesn't have to be about spirit. It can be about tech. Why the one that first created it would've want to keep it to others? Create and destroy it! Snoke could be an approach to this prerogative.

    • @xtnctr

      If one have plentiful time/life (semi or full-immortality) that one would've seek for rejoice. Maybe that translates to be vanity for some. Comfort and abundance (material) to others. Maybe one have tried it all. It also could read into power and knowledge. An ever growing search That would eventually lead to desire on understanding the Force. The backbone of life. The "Thing" that drives the others. An ancient student of major events of the galaxy. A formidable complex figure. Eager to dissect both light and dark side.
      That could lead to a new dangerous and shadowy character. Snoke maybe.

      Snoke could ve turn out regretful about some events of his personal mortal life. Afterall he is Wise now. Grown tired of watching the same events across the galaxies and remaining inert. Maybe he sees kylo ren going over similar prerogatives he did once. That could've driven snoke to make kylo redeem the prior one's failures - ie over-relying on being too merciful and compassional - through the enforcement of unattempted ways about seeing dilemas. Hence the eventual master/apprentice dynamic.

    A couple more thoughts to add:
    1. They also said a while back that, in The Last Jedi, the force would be used in ways we've never seen before.
    2. Whenever someone brings up Obi-Wan or Ahsoka, etc.. They have no problem talking about how they'd like to do something with that character in the future, how they love that character, yada yada. But bring up Plagueis, one of the most iconic characters of the franchise (and possibly the best SW novel ever written), and their response is "Who? Nope, no Plagueis here! Don't know what you're talking about." Seems like they're trying really hard to keep the idea of Plagueis under wraps.

After her son was taken from her, she fears the same will happen to Rey so left her on Jakku. The reason she has such big fears over losing Rey goes beyond just losing Finn, it's because Snoke is her father and with there be so few force sensitives he knew his daughters kids would be be Force sensitive. I like the idea of snoke transferring his consciousness but I think you could leave out all the rey being the chosen one and it would fit even better.... Snoke likely created Anakin to defeat his enemy while remaining in the shadows to see how potent the mixture of light/darkness could be, like an alchemist. Seeing it with his own eyes realizing hes weaker by only embracing once side and no longer a considers himself a sith, similar to how Luke will reveal his feelings in episode eight. Snoke takes a liken to Kylo because he is the progenitor of the line while simultaneously refraining from creating similar skywalker lines because of the potential unforseen consequences. I personally think they will reveal that the force is living entity and that is why snoke likes warriors with light/darkness in them because if the force gets too stacked on one side the underdog side will do something unforseen.

    It's proven Sith can renounce their titles, like Maul in Rebels. Maybe Plaguies was ultimately disappointed with Palpatine for not truly learning everything yet still betraying him. Perhaps, upon reflection, he would realize this flaw of the Sith, that an eagerness in the apprentice to assume power would doom the next generation to being inferior to the last. Palpatine did, after all, choose power of the knowledge of eternal life.
    And it's possible Plaguies was taken by surprise when Palpatine betrayed him. Instead of having a new body ready, he'd be forced to settle for something unfinished or a random person. That would also explain his absence from the fray.

    Kilo/ Snoke found tech out in the unknown region that allowed him to travel back in time just the right moment to start teaching his past self things that would correct his own past mistakes and make him the Ultra Powerful force user he always wanted to be.The Snoke we see could be from much farther into Kilo future then just 50 years. Snoke could be Kilos 100 + year old self from the future and the reason he came back is because the other deformities we see on Snoke came from Luke and he's came back to a critical time in the past that would give his younger self the upper hand on Luke. But the Force being what it is and always seaking to be in balance put Rey into play messing up Snokes plans.

    I have always held a small bit of hope that Snoke would turn out to be Plagueis. That would tie up so many loose ends . I have always wanted Plagueis to be Canon and what better way than to be the over arching villain in the Sequelogy.

    what if when palpatine killed plageus he used the force to reincarnate himself as anakin skywalker.

    Thor Skywalker Hmmmm Idno, We've never really seen a Munn in live action yet so I feel like Snoke could pass for one (at least a scarred/disfigured one). Just look at the cover art for the Darth Plagueis novel. You have to admit, it bares some resemblance to what we've seen of Snoke so far. Plus Snoke IS said to be 7 to 8 feet tall which matches up with the average height of a Munn.

    If this is the case, his body is clearly towards the end of it's life span. He's probably out for a new one soon! Could he transfer himself to another body once dead? Could he be training and building up Kylo for his new host?

      I think that may be why he's so interested in Kylo Ren, and has been for so long.

    wasn't this line of thought hampered by Palpatine's new way of behaving and thinking? he's a Sith who even has DV in a better light when Vader tries to kill him, instead of the Legends Sidious, who just wanted to rule as an immortal Emperor.

    Ok, I haven't thought this fully through yet cause I got excited, so there's probably some things here that don't make complete sense or have holes in it, BUT....what if Snoke is a life form created by Plagueis and Anakin was the life form created by the Force after Snoke was created cause the Force didn't like being manipulated like that and created it's own life in opposition to Snoke (Anakin, or more like just the Skywalker line in general).
    What if that's the big reveal? Snoke is like the Skywalkers, but created through a perversion of the Force and made to be dark.

      Personally, I think it's a pretty cool idea and Qui-Gon was one of my favorite characters from the prequels... but I'm not sure if they'll make Rey related to him, simply because I'm not sure how well known (remembered) he is by more casual fans and average movie goers. But I'd be happy to be wrong about that.

    when it comes to the force it wants to balance itself. If the Jedi have their way of "cheating death" the Sith too posses their way. It's a darker practice, Sith magic? (which Palpatine learned from Plagus) probably with a sacrifice, Plagus can transfer his concoinceness to another, being Snoke. it would take so much dark energy to keep the body alive which causes the scarring we see....sorry stoned haha I would love the snoke=plagus theory

      You actually make a point that I should've brought up in the video: That Jedi have their own way of achieving immortality more or less (becoming a Force ghosts) so I'd imagine that the Sith do too... only it would be by a darker means. Instead of achieving true harmony with the Force, which is essentially how you become a Force ghost... you have to achieve full mastery of it to create life and transfer your essence.

    If is Plagueis is Snoke, then we will probably get one of those he has to transfer himself to another host plots. So that would open the door for any one of the main characters becoming possessed by Plagueis. I hope this doesn't happen fyi.

      Well, we did get to see San Hill in Attack of the Clones and he is a Muun. However, Snoke has certainly been through some rough ordeal so I suppose it's possible he is a Muun but whatever has happened to him has really altered his appearance.

      Thor Skywalker Ya, I guess you're right. It would be a stretch. I know its unlikely but I just love the idea of having a big bad in the story that could tie the series together like that. As you mentioned.

    Snoke will most likely end up being a rogue whill who gained power in the unknown region.
