this is a great song by Pino Daniele : in the original version Rita Marcotulli plays the piano with many voicings based on fourths, which adds some special colours to the music. The harmony is beautiful yet original.
This song is very interesting for its harmony, original and enriched by the beautiful piano sound of Rita Marcotulli, who plays very "quartal" chords: in the verse, after the initial Am and E7, it moves to two chords full of fourths, Gm11 and then F#m11#5, Cm11, then AbMaj7 and again fourths with the bass descending from Ab to EbMaj9/G, then Fm11 and again EbMag9/G (the symbols of these chords make little sense, they should be seen as bass plus major or minor chord and extensions). Especially interesting is the chorus, a harmonic progression with descending bass AbMaj7, G7sus, GbMaj7, F7alt, E6 and then ascending GMa7b5 (very lydian) and Abm7 to get back to Am
