Great video mate, I start my training in 2 weeks time Jan 24 and cant wait get get going, the only thing I’m dreading at the moment is learning to talk to ATC, it sounds like another language, the plan is to purchase the sling TSI for work has I’m constantly traveling all over the UK.

Worth chatting to LAA before applying for IFR. I understand they've deemed the Sling unsuitable at this time

Yes I'm aware. There are some proper flight tests planned to convince the LAA of the Slings flight characteristics in IMC rather than relying on just the subjective opinion of some pilots🤞😉

Awesome! Glad to see you and your plane are getting along well! It's funny how quickly we acclimate to life with an airplane. How did we survive before? 😆

I followed almost all the building videos. I heard in this video that you traveled 10 countries in Europe. How was the experience to travel with an experimental / self-built aircraft? Could you share some examples of best and worst experiences regarding this?
    Thank you for these videos!

Yes, she has been over most of Western Europe. It doesn't make much difference being a permit aircraft, some countries need you to apply prior permission before you travel. It's relatively straightforward, just submit aircraft and pilot information. Apart from Spain, most others that need prior permission have an easy approval process. We have only flown VFR, as GDIYA has not been cleared for night and IMC. Even when approved, it's technically only valid in the UK. International trips of 4 adults with a week's worth of baggage done with no issues.
