  • Muskies follow our lures and they have done so for hundreds of years. The interesting thing about follows, that is visual follows, is that "back in the day" we really didn't know how many muskies we were encountering in a single day of fishing. We only knew that we had encountered a musky when it either followed in close enough to the surface so that we could see it or perhaps it followed a surface lure so that we could see the wake. Now in the age of new technology breakthroughs there is a different kind of follow that musky anglers are looking for: SI follows.
Side imaging follows, or "digital" follows, are just as significant as visual follows the only difference being that we don't see them with our eyes. These fish are muskies that follow in just like regular "visual muskies" but they are out of our sight and until recent years, they have mostly gone undetected. With new tech at our fingertips we can now see into the water in different ways and take advantage of fish that are lurking around our boats. In this episode you will see my progression of tactical decisions regarding a musky that followed in on SI and how I eventually got her to strike in the figure-8!

@@thebigbaiter ohhh yes. We catch pike on them too. I just don’t make episodes with pike usually. But they are excellent for northerns
