You ought to share this. Westerners need to hear this. Also, we Christians should also be very apologetic, especially the Catholics. I am so very sorry the way the Jewish people got treated by the Church. If it had not been so, then perhaps the Levant would have stood firm against the Arab invaders back in 634. Without the few Syriac records we have found hidden in recent years, all we would have is the Muslim records from these events and Sebeos, which clearly lacks the perspective of those that were the victims. If we had records from the Jewish of what has happened to them, it helps us to turn the public record and the opinion. These young people have been brainwashed to believe in the Palestinian cause because they do not understand that they are NOT indigenous. The PLO before Hamas actually told them and their grandparents told them their people have been there since it was Canaan. 😂 The regular Palestinian people might have been less determined if they knew the truth that it had only been 200 years and they were in fact the settlers and occupiers from the invading forces. But that's not the story they received. My point is that we need Historians to go and document the Jewish Israeli family stories as far back as possible for the museums.

42:20 - There is, in fact, an attempt by some modern Muslim intellectuals, such as Mr. Mustafa Akyol and others, who are working hard to "reopen Muslim minds" (an eponymous book of Akyol's). I don't know if Islam will evolve in response to time (for it appears to be stuck in space and things), but Akyol makes a strong case.

I cannot believe this episode. It’s so full of bias and opinion- what happened to you actually “educating people” - this war on Gaza has really changed you and the way you address a lot of your new content. It’s bordering on hateful undertones. If you revisit your lectures from 6 months ago- they have a completely different tone especially the ones when you discuss Muslims.
When you mention the “war of independence” - did you actually even factually check the historical record? There were millions of arabs to a small Jewish nation who won above all else… come on 😂 there were many reasons arabs lost and Israel won. The way you lay the framework that oh Israel was such an underdog with old weapons and nothing else…is so untrue. They actually had proper weapons, and a very organized and well trained paramilitary whom many served in WW2.
And Ben Gurion was vicious in his attack and creed on the Palestinians. There weren’t Miracles (as you want to believe) they were more so underhanded tactics used to at never got exposed …posing as “miracles”.
And it has been happening since.

The overinflated example of an occasional semi-decent Muslim ruler who ignored Dhimmi laws, was used as an unfavorable comparison to get Europe to live up to its self-proclaimed Enlightenment values when it came to Jewish Emancipation. The closest the Ottomans ever came was part of the failed Tanzimat Reforms, leaving it to the European Empires to temporarily bring it to the rest of the region.

@Efraim Palvanov. I’m Muslim. But I like to watch videos on Judaism because it helps me understand all the three religions, so I am here. I’m from Central Asia just like yourself. I agree there was discrimination against Jews in Muslim lands, but nothing on the scale what was happening in the West at that time or until quite recently (all that business with the gas chambers). Depending on what Muslim land and during the reign of what sultan/khan, Jewish culture flourished. You said Maimonides found peace in Egypt under Saladin, which was a Muslim land with a Muslim sultan.
But there are many more examples like this.
I feel sorry for you guys and others who had to experience pogroms in Uzbekistan in the early 90’s. It seems that other minorities were targeted too, but there were signs that they were orchestrated from Moscow as Russians withdrew. But regardless, it’s not a justification. But I cannot recall any other pogroms or instances like that throughout the history of Central Asia, if you have examples, I’d like to listen really. What happened, doesn’t seem natural, is what I’m saying.
I love Jews , I actually don’t care what religion you are, as long as you are a good person. Things that are happening now are sad but I think it has to do with politics, Netanyahu and how he has handled this real estate question. So, now this erupted and we are where we are, unfortunately. I hope I didn’t hurt anyone’s feelings or anything just like, just didn’t wanna walk quietly past video. Thanks! Peace to everyone!

Let's remember your Messiah and national hero Simon bar Kokhba who gruesomely tortured and murdered Jewish members of the Jesus sect of Judaism (proto-christians, before Jesus was deified) for refusing to take part in assassinations of local civil administrators. Wonder how bar Koseba would have dealt with Gandi or MLK ? He certainly was no Torah scholar that teaches you to treat others as you would have them treat you. "Eye for an eye" makes the whole world blind. Or was that the 270 Commandments of Hammurabi ?
I like what Yoko Ono said about the importance of non violence in social action to not alienate the ruling administrators.
      Funny how history repeats.
Ben Gurion ordering the assassination of Count Bernadette (not a military target)
If y'all had accepted a bi-national representative Democracy (albeit being in the minority, where Jews would have to form coalitions, not unlike today) instead of an inherently dishonest partition pretend (not unlike Solomon with the baby)
there would likely be a healthy thriving multicultural middle east (so-called "Cultural Zionism") today instead of the festering instability and refuge crisis across western Asia and western Europe. Really, 25 million internally displaced persons and another 12 million unwelcomed as unwilling migrants just so 6 million jews can immorality inhabit the slum we all know and love as "azreäl"?
You just want to share your communal suffering by imposing it on others?

As an Iranian, I would say that unfortunately there has been persecution of the Jews in Iran from time to time. But, if you want to be fair, you should give credit to Iranians who have treated the Jews much better than the European Christians have done. It is important because the Jews who lived as guests in Persia committed a disgusting massacre of 75,000 Persians, and unfortunately celebrate that massacre every year. It's like the Germans celebrate the massacre of the Jews.

    • @EfraimPalvanov
      @EfraimPalvanov  Рік тому +2

The "massacre" you are referring to was Jews defending themselves against those who sought their complete extermination. In any case, those ancient Persians were pagans and idolaters, and have nearly nothing to do with today's Iranians. (Similar to the way ancient Egyptians have nothing to do with today's Arab "Egyptians").

*_"We bear the inhumane burden of their humiliation, lies and absurdities, being as the prophet said, 'like a deaf man who does not hear or a dumb man who does not open his mouth'... Not even half way through the video and am already fed up with the twistness and unscholarly taking of this so called lecture, although the cherry picking and very biased taking of the first section was bad enough, you falling into the very famous myth of the 1948 war was what lead me to pause in and write this comment. You claim to say that in that war Israel was outnumbered 100 to 1 and that it was a handful thousands jews against hundred of millions of arabs.. This is comical to say the least. The combined forces of the 5 arab states participating in that war didn't exceed 23000 soliders, 10000 from Egypt 4000 from Jordan and each of Lebanon Iraq and Saudi provided 3000 soldier as for the Israelis they bustelered their entire force of 29677 Soldier and this is all according to the diaries of Ben Gurion which you can check yourselves. Israel was not drastically outnumbered in their "independece" war in fact they outnumbered their attacking enermy plus they had the defensive advantage, the arabs were anything but comitted to that war since they each had their political troubles that were more pressing to them at home thus their very superficial involvement in the war translated by the relatively few soldiers each provided, Egypt alone had the most advanced and sophisticated military establishment in the region at the time they simply weren't ready to go all in for the palestinians in that war.
This video is full of sentimental nationalistic nonsense judging from the audience and views no one takes these so called courses seriously either I don't know how youtube algorithme has suggested this to me.

    • @virtualislamicdawah8117
      @virtualislamicdawah8117 Рік тому

I go to 22 minutes and started to read the comments. You are spot on with the cherry picking . And history tells us the only wars between Muslims and Jews came after isreal was formed. Yes there has been tensions and mistreatment on both sides but Muslims have been fighting Muslims since the 6th century. There is more conflicts between Muslims than Jews. So his point to say that the establishing of isreal causing wars is a myth really is a facts. Some of The rules he talked about came from umar ibn kattab as amongst the Jews was terrorists. Even a Jewish woman poisoned prophet Muhammad. So the context of the laws was not to humiliate the Jews but but to limit them politicaly and make them apppar as Jews not fake Muslims. After umars rule there was a innovation of these laws and they became extreme towards Jewish people. these laws are not Islamic in a way from our teachings but something from the minds of men. Did Jews and Muslims live peacefull in modern times 1600 1700 1800 1900s history tells us they did so to point out a time in history and single out that specific time is cherry 🍒 picking. Jewish people are human beings and if I have offended anyone Jewish I apologise. But I stand with my Muslim people in the middle east as there is a difference between having backwards laws placed upon u to children being bombed. The west has put laws on people for years. Only so long ago blacks could not marry whites. If I was born in that time I would have been a crime committed. Is that from the bible no its from the minds of men.

There was another component to polygamy in that part of the world, since bride kidnapping and forced conversion is common even today particularly against Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and others in places like Egypt, Pakistan, etc. Also against orphans as well with the Orphans' Decree that had the effect of encouraging an orphaned boy or girl to be very quickly married off, since married people had the legal status of adults and could not be taken for forcible conversion (although that did not do much against the bride kidnapping).

There were plenty of polygamous marriages throughout history. Many worked out fine. Most if not all the examples of Kings ruling in Tanach created dysfunctionality or the like. So no Mashiach?!
Garden of Eden was vegan. So no meat?
All irrelevant anyway. Sefardim in Israel want their traditions back. They feel that secular Zionists and Haredi Ashkenazim forced them to adopt traditions that aren't their own and to drop their own as well. So through Sefardi culture in Israel polygamy is on the agenda for returning. Which makes this Sefardi Rabbis talk on polygamy, laughable. Both due to his ahistorical comments about the subject and due to many in his own culture in Israel seeking its return.

@@davidschalit907 there are things Hashem permitted on account of human weakness. But, I believe, His plan was always that we would outgrow those weaknesses.
There was already speculation in the Talmud 2000 years ago that at the time of the Mashiach the world would be vegetarian, as eating meat is not the Torah ideal. So why not also the abolishment of polygamy? In a time where women may have needed the protection of a man, polygamy may have been preferable to being alone. But in a perfected world, why would that be there be such a need?

    Four points rabbi to consider:
1-The thrust of your whole argument rests on the testimony of one man, Maimonodes, who himself was under Muslim rule and in the highest trusted position in that rule with the ability to kill the King himself if he wished. This doesn’t sound like “persecution”. The incident he was talking about, namely, the force conversion imposed by a Muslim ruler in Yemen, is an anomaly. The proof is the simple fact of the continued existence of the Jewish community in almost all Muslim lands, Yemen included. Plus, usually, whenever you see a Muslim government persecuting Jews, you will find it also persecuting Muslims from the same or different persuasion than they are. For example, the Almohads also persecuted Ibn Rushd (Averos) and other Sunni scholars and Sufis, and of course the general population as usual.
2-You claim that Jews were always on the peaceful side, the Muslims on the violent side. Now this is a gross reduction of facts. In the time of Prophet Muhammed, some leading Jews in Medina were collaborating with the Meccan aggressors, after they made pacts with the Muslims, to try to destroy them. The Quran mentioned this. Now you might say “I don’t believe the Quran”, but on that point their can be no argument, because if that wasn’t true and everyone knew it, Muhammed would be, so to speak, shooting himself in the foot. He would be saying to Muslims, Jews, Meccans and the whole Arab world “I attaked these Jews because they betrayed us and conspired with our enemy in Mecca” when everyone would know that that was a lie. Not even a mediocre false prophet would make such a mistake. This and other historical arguments should suffice to show that in this case the Prophet wanted peace and these Jews wanted war. Similar examples can be multiplied from the past and the present.
3-The most striking thing to me was to hear from an orthodox rabbi the recommendation to us Muslims that we should “reform”. And what do you mean by reform? You say what amounts to: adding to or subtracting from the Law of God. You give the examples of polygamy and women education. Now, the principal and the examples are, to put mildly, not good. As for the principal, you are basically blaming Muslims for not altering what they believe is The Law of God. You from all people should know that devout servants of God do not do that. Your Torah prohibits that. Even Maimonodes in his letter to Yemen mentions the importance of keeping the law, no, he goes even farther than that and recommends killing whoever rejects the Oral Torah not only the Written one, as I remember. You boast that you “reformed”, that is for you to deal with on Judgment Day. But don’t blame Muslims for not playing with the Law of God regardless of the temporary trends of the age. As for the examples: well, the Quran is direct and clear that marrying one is not only the norm, the recommended norm, but also states unequivocally that there will always be a level of injustice with polygamy in general, even if it’s tolerable because of certain circumstances, but injustice nonetheless, even if it’s emotional injustice. It’s a dangerous act committed by pious people in very narrow and rare circumstances. Current Muslim practice in east and west testify that the norm is monogamy. Even Muslim kings and despots are mostly monogamous. So that’s out. As for women education, well since the time of The Prophet, starting with his own Wives, women were in fact obligated to learn the Quran and other religious matters like men, and there was no prohibition on learning if they wished. The wives of the Prophet were comanded in the Quran to teach the verses of God and wisdom to the people. Many of the top male scholars throughout the ages had female scholars as their “masters” in legal and spiritual matters. And so on. The principal of adding to or subtracting from the Law of God is blasphemy. Therefore I would suggest we shouldn’t do it, and for sure we shouldn’t recommend it if we want to keep our connection to The Almighty.
4-Now it seems that what you want from “reform” is basically for Muslims to accept the domination of the zionist state. Two points here: One, you should know that this is not how Muslims function. When we dominate, we strive to teach people justice; when we are dominated, we strive to teach people faith and resilience. Submitting to oppression is not an option. It will be temporary since Islam is to the world like the sun: it might set for a while but it will always rise as long as there is a world inhabited by people. Second, more importantly for you, is that you should be the first to condemn the whole principal of zionism. In the same letter of Maimonodes your quoting you have good guidance on that issue. He mentions the prayer of the sages against those who try to calculate the coming of the Messiah. Think about that. Just calculating, while waiting and observing Torah in the diaspora inflicted by God, is breaking a prohibition and getting your self under what amounts to a curse from the sages. OK, what did the zionists do? They went even beyond calculating the time of redemption from exile, no, they actually Worked to create the redemption by themselves. If the mental activity of getting out of exile is a curse, then the physical activity is a double or triple curse. The zionists put themselves in God’s place. No surprise there since generally they were secularists and atheists. Look at the current zionist state and how many Jews there are actively against religion. In some cases they went even beyond Sodom and Gemorah. You should know all that better than me. Dark principle roots usually produce poisonous fruits. The curse of the sages is above the head of those who calculate, and the curse of God is on those who actually transgress.

This guy fails to compare the severity and extent of crimes against Jews committed by Christians relative to those committed by Muslims. Yes, Muslims did a lot of bad things to Jews, but it was sporadic and small scale, and the way they treated dhimmi was nothing compared to the way Christians treated Jews and Muslims living in Christendom. He also pretends like the 1948 war was unprovoked aggression against Zionists by Arabs (who also included Christians, not just Muslims). Well, Zionists never got permission from the local Arabs of Palestine to immigrate there en masse, that permission was given by the Ottoman government and expanded by the British government. And Zionists never got permission from their new neighbors to establish a Jewish supremacist ethnostate on land where Arabs were the majority (yes, even inside the initial borders of Israel). Zionists had been escalating terrorist attacks against Arabs for decades, and when they declared Israel to be an independent country in May 1948, they already had Plan Dalet ready to go for ethnic cleansing of Arabs. I call that illegal annexation of territory and an act of war. And this guy also completely leaves out the contextual information for why Arabs keep refusing two state solutions and attacking Israel. Go read about all the proposed agreements and find out why they said no. It’s because Israel presented totally unacceptable terms that hurt Palestinian refugees and violated the future sovereignty of the State of Palestine. And Israel has been committing constant crimes against Palestinians in Israel and Palestine for the past century. If you want to understand why the Arabs fight the Zionists, you have to learn about the problem from third party sources. Also, this guy totally stereotypes Muslims as terrorists and warmongers, ignoring all reasons why any of them are doing what they are doing, and the fact that Israelis are doing exactly the same things. Go read about all the things Israel has done to its neighbors and how it has helped America to do terrorism and worse crimes in the Middle East and Latin America. This isn’t happening at random. Likud, the ruling party of Israel, was founded by Menachem Begin, who was himself a leader of the terrorist militia Irgun. Read what Albert Einstein said about him in a letter to the New York Times in 1948, you’re in for a surprise. The Israeli far right takes inspiration from what the Hebrew Bible says about the Jews doing things to the Canaanites and Amalekites, and they combine that with European and American style ethnic supremacist nationalism and imperialism, to create a really toxic worldview. I don’t think those people represent all Jews, and if you ever want peace between Israel and its neighbors, the Israeli right wing coalition must be removed from power.

23:10 i wouldn't completely agree with this remark considering the Talmud was made around the same time as the first official manuscript of the New Testament in the Latin Vulgate. Judaism came first, i agree, but present Judaism has its differences as an offshoot to that branch as well, in that prayer itself is different. Albeit for one example that the Kippah, Tallith, and Tefillin were never worn during prayer in the Tanakh. So speaking from a Historical Context the two religions of Judaism and Christianity became official around the same time during 500 CE. Only for Islam to be official 100 years later when the Quran was made inspired by non-canonical scriptures from non-chalcedonian Christian's and Jews that did not follow Oral Torah who moved to Arabia.

Hey bro, your talk was truly captivating. The historical narrative you shared about the pre-Israel era and the oppression faced by Jewish people under Muslim rule resonated with me. It's plausible that the tribal warlike culture of Arab society persisted post-Islamization. I also observe that while other religions have evolved, Islam has remained relatively stagnant. Reform seems necessary. However, I respectfully disagree with your confusion about why some, including many non-Muslims, harbor animosity towards Jews. Perhaps the idealized portrayal of Jews being universally fair isn't always accurate. It's essential to examine how Jews in power treated followers of the Christ during that era. Though it might seem controversial, the deeply ingrained stereotype of Jews as financially shrewd and unapologetically biased towards their own kind is sure to fuel escalating hostility over time by non Jews. Many of the facts you presented about Israel's attempts to negotiate fair deals with Palestinians are debatable. Nevertheless, I value your explanation, and I acknowledge the atrocities against Jews throughout history. As an agnostic (ex-Muslim) who doesn't adhere to organized religion, I refrain from commenting on specific faiths. I believe that all living beings strive to survive, and death serves as the great equalizer. If I were to adopt a belief system, I might consider making "game theory" my religion and follow its principles.

2000 jews killed in the course of the siege and sacking of Cordoba by berber muslims in 1011 AD. 6000 jews killed and their women made slaves in 1033 in Fez (Morocco). 4000 jews killed in 1066 by a muslim mob in Grenada.
Anti-jewish progrom happened in Morocco in 1148 CE. Abd al-Mumin ... the leader of the Almohads after the death of Muhammad Ibn Tumart the Mahdi ... captured Tlemcen [in the Maghreb] and killed all those who were in it, including the Jews, except those who embraced Islam. ... [In Sijilmasa] One hundred and fifty persons were killed for clinging to their [Jewish] faith. ... One hundred thousand persons were killed in Fez on that occasion, and 120,000 in Marrakesh. The Jews in all [Maghreb] localities [conquered] ... groaned under the heavy yoke of the Almohads; many had been killed, many others converted; none were able to appear in public as Jews.[21]

You may be correct about some of the things you spoke about but you will need to provide proof. Oct 7 was not the beginning of the issue. There is a very long history behind all this. You say Arafat never wanted to agree to anything and at times walked out of meetings? Could it be because what was being offered was unfair, could it be because he knew israel would never comply with whatever was agreed and didn't Yitzak Rabin want to make peace and was killed? Just like Arafat was poisoned. You also say muslims force others to convert ? As a revert muslim (previously catholic) I was never forced to convert to Islam. It is incorrect. If it was ever done in the past it was not in accordance with Islamic law. No one can force another to become a Muslim. Also we do not worship the stone in Mecca. We do not worship objects or idols. Another point, IF you claim that in 1948 jews returned to the promised land then you justify that taking it by displacing all who lived there and even killing to have it was the correct thing to do? And even worst doing it after the terrible and barbaric holocaust? Sorry but I have a problem believing the almighty would allow such an injustice. Doesn't your holy book say you must wait for the arrival of the messiah to establish in any land? Whatever happened to that order? We can debate for hours about who's right or wrong depending on which side you are on. Only the almighty knows and one day we will all be informed

    I appreciate your history lesson however, I would like to make a couple of minor corrections;
The Romans were not Christians, they were pagans who were wearing the name of Christ/Messiah in order to unite their warring Kingdom.
The Roman Catholics are not Christians. They believe in Christ/Messiah, just as the Muslims do, but they do not follow Christ/Messiah. A Christian follows the teachings of Christ. Muslims follow the teachings of Muhammad. Catholics follow the teachings of the papacy, not Christ/Messiah.
So when the Romans sent the crusaders to take over the holy land and attack the Muslims and the Jews, they were doing it in the name of Christ/Messiah but they weren't doing it at the direction of Christ/Messiah because Christ/Messiah told his apostles to do just the opposite!
Jesus told his apostles to go and teach and baptize in the name of the FATHER, Son and holy spirit, but if anyone rejected that teaching, they were to knock the dust from their shoes and move on! The Messiah never instructed his apostles to force, tax, torture, or burn at the stake, anyone who rejected the message! Jesus was a Jew, he operated on Jewish principles.
Jesus warned that there would be many who would come in his name, pretending to be Christian/Messianic, when they were not! The Roman Catholic Church is the foremost of these masquerading entities who pretend to be sheep but are really wolves in sheep's clothing!
No I'm not talking about the average Catholic here. The average Catholic is just as fooled as everyone else by the tricks of the Roman Catholic papacy. I'm talking about the Roman Catholic papacy and clergy who knowingly and intentionally masquerades as Christ (the vicar of Christ), even claiming to be God himself on Earth, while at the same time changing God's laws! Even as recently as this year, Pope Francis has changed yet another one of the Ten Commandments!
The Roman Catholic Church is the counterfeit Christian Church. It is the counterfeit Jewish temple! Just examine closely the garb and the temple layout of the Vatican! They have completely appropriated the Hebrew Temple and levitical priesthood!
This is the effort of the enemy Satan to obscure the name of the true god, and the name of his Messiah, and to prevent the message of the good news of the Kingdom from getting through! And yet, in spite of every effort of the Roman Catholic church, the good news has gotten through!
Now that the message of the Kingdom has spread all the way around the globe, the fullness of time has come for the choose to retake their position as Kings and priests and help to correct the misunderstandings that the Roman Catholic papacy has fostered throughout history and their false representation of the Christ/Messiah.

The 20th century was the worst in history for Jewish/Muslim relations and the best in history for Jewish/Christian relations and nevertheless millions of Jews were killed by Christians in the 20th century and thousands by Muslims. There is simply no comparison. Christians have historically been exponentially worse to Jews than Muslims even though it is true that there have been many difficult periods under Islam.

Heres the Pact of Umar RA
"In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. This is the assurance of safety which the servant of God, ʿUmar, the Commander of the Faithful, has given to the people of Jerusalem. He has given them an assurance of safety for themselves, for their property, their churches, their crosses, the sick and healthy of the city and for all the rituals which belong to their religion. Their churches will not be inhabited by Muslims and will not be destroyed. Neither they, nor the land on which they stand, nor their cross, nor their property will be damaged. They will not be forcibly converted. And [as per the Christians’ request] Jews will not live in the same areas as them.
The people of Jerusalem must pay the taxes like the people of other cities and must expel the Byzantines and the robbers. Those of the people of Jerusalem who want to leave with the Byzantines, take their property and abandon their churches and crosses will be safe until they reach their place of refuge. The villagers [who had taken refuge in the city at the time of the conquest] may remain in the city if they wish but must pay taxes like the citizens. Those who wish may go with the Byzantines and those who wish may return to their families. Nothing is to be taken from them before their harvest is reaped.
If they pay their taxes according to their obligations, then the conditions laid out in this letter are under the covenant of God, are the responsibility of His Prophet, of the caliphs and of the faithful"
      Witnessed by: Khālid b. Walīd; ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀs; ʿAbd al-Rahmān b. al-ʿAwf; Muʿāwiya b. Abī Sufyān.
The ruling christians told Umar RA ( the disciple and companion of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and also his father in law) that they had expelled and banish jews in the land. As Umar RA was bringing them back, they worried that jews would still be annoyed at them so told Umar RA to keep jews in another area from them, so they are not neighbours. So Umar RA agreed and included it in his Pact.
Read the above, how is it unjust in anyway???
