I have a 500 GT Premium. As a nurse of 38 years, I have a very dodgy back and have found my car really comfortable with no pain at all. I really like the Peugeot styling, both inside and out. The back legroom is the only thing that would put me off this car as I like to try the backseat with my driving position before buying (6 ft). The view is just fine of my i-Cockpit. Good review as always.
I've got this car ordered in the GT Premium 225 hybrid avatar blue with the blue leather interior and I can't wait for it, it will arrive next month . Honestly think it's going to be the best in class estate for Europe. The days of Peugeot being on top are coming back fast.
What did they say will be the delivery date? I was told if ordered nov22, delivery would be april23. Also any reason you chose GT premium over the Allure premium? Avatar blue is the colour Id go for too.
@@wintersun398 ordered in April/May and it arrived 2 weeks ago. Absolutely incredible car. I was coming from a top of the range 3008 so I didn't want to Despec if you know what I mean that's the only reason I went for the GT Premium tho they have since discontinued the GT Premium because they can't get parts for the extras. My car had 3 things missing. The heated windscreen the wireless charger and metal dead pedal etc were missing apparently Peugeot can't get them because of the urkraine stuff so they are just leaving them out.
@@SASMANJK would be interested to know what mpg you get on a long run once the battery is empty. I will be doing a lot of miles without being able to charge! Reviews suggest 40-50mpg although I expect that is determined how heavy the right foot is. I usually drive at 65mph(speedo) on motorways. I read there is an Esave button that allows the battery soc to be maintained. Have you played around with the battery hybrid functions? Can you set a timer for the charger
The hybrid has the 1.4 plus the battery so it's heavier. If you can't reliably charge the battery the 1.2 petrol gets better mileage.Owner of a 1.2 here, will have charging station near me within a year or so and would like the phev but city parking is just a faff, considering I'd have to use the charger then go a few hours later(public charging is limited to 3 hrs) and try and find another parking spot. We'll see
Absolutely stunning stunning car. Best looking estate hands down. Exactly what u said re hatchbacks and estates, people will eventually miss them as everything gets SUVed ... Modern subs are optical illusions as they don't have any more space than a hatch or estate but ppl as u said follow trends
You're right, that is a beaut. Estates are class for functionality. Was talking to someone with an ID5 the other day, they couldn't hide their disgust/confusion when I said my id3 is perfect for me but would love an estate version 😂
I enjoy your car reviews. I used one to help me spec my Enyaq. However in England from 1st October the price of electricity is about to nearly double on the price cap. From 28 pence per Kw to 52 pence per Kw. It will be cheaper to buy fuel for a petrol car. Also with EV cars in order to maximise range on the motorway I stick to 60 mph. If you want an Enyaq then you are welcome to have mine as I intend to change it for an older petrol car in order to be able to pay the higher electricity and gas costs before 1st October 2022.
Mark, as said before this Pug is superb! Breaks the mould. In SW design why oh why does anyone need a 'mid' SUV? This is a family car! Estates need to back at the top of the list. Add the new Golf Estate and the benchmark Ford Focus. So much going for it. Thank You.
Stunning estate and I agree with you on the colour. I also agree many people would prfer this over an suv if they just broadened their minds and gave it a look. In Canada there are very few options for what we call station wagons. I would strongly consider this if it were available to me. Great review in a reasonable length of time.
Great review Nobby. I really like this car and contrary to popular opinion I'd have the diesel as for the motorway miles I do, nothing beats it neither electric, petrol or phev. I'd prefer a manual tho' and for that reason I'd go for its sister car the Astra estate once is released. Also the alloys are big enough, 20" wheels would not only look stupid but you'd be on rubber band style tyres.
I love the look of the Peugeot 308 SW!, I'm not so sure if it's my favourite looking estate, but it's probably gotta be the best. I'm not a fan of these crossovers and SUVs that are killing our loved saloons and estates, like you said in this video Ford ditching the Mondeo, I really wanted one of those as a kid, because my dad and uncle had one. Also the insignia is getting ditched too next year. I don't understand why people think SUVs are better, estates and saloons and even hatchbacks are way better! The Peugeot 308 SW is definitely one of the best ever! I just wish the engines were 4 cylinders mostly and not too small, like Toyota keeps it's full size engines that meet these fake emissions regulations so I wish other manufacturers could too.
just took delivery in Australia we only get 1 spec the highest prem 1.2 petrol and i was nervous ant the 96kw and it s just the perfect car could not be happier
just been into peugeot and they have informed me that no models will now have parking sensors no matter the trim level, no electric tailgates, only tp of the range will get decent options all while still charging more than they was 3 years ago due to not being able to get parts...i wouldnt want a car from people operating like that if it was free
No parking sensors? LOL I ordered mine 3 months ago and wanted to change later from active pack to allure.. They said there is no diesel engine anymore with manual gear box. Only automatic.. Should I ask them If my car will come with parking sensors or not? hahah
same as every other manufacturers. BMWs don't get heated seats or touchscreens, Fords don't get parking sensors either, some electric cars don't get heat pumps, and the list goes on.
Thank you for the review. It would be on my shortlist if a needed a new car. There are actually already a lot of these driving around here in Belgium. Sadly most are black and not that nice avatar blue wich is actually a free color.
Has anyone noticed the bad position that the steering wheel of the 308 has in relation to the screen in front of you? If we lift the steering wheel almost upwards (which is normal) it is impossible to have a full view of the screen as the steering wheel cuts right in the middle
I am always astounded the number of comments that concentrate on looks. People - you DRIVE a car so safety, performance, handling, comfort are the important issues. If I did a review I would start ON THE ROAD. That's the important part. I've watched about 15 reviews of the new 308 and they all use the same format - Is that a requirement of the company? The on the road section of the review is quite OK. BTW I own a 308 (2012). Love it.
And 90% of the time your car is parked somewhere and you look at it. Starting a video with a driving scene doesn’t grab attention, the looks of a car is the ‘sexy’ bit so that’s why. Good luck with your reviews (when you start though)!!
@@NobbyOnCars I understand your point however looks should not be the main feature. Have a look at Anna's on the road reviews. She does most of the review while driving. Very professionally done. BTW have a look at her driving position. She could teach many male reviewers athing or two.
First thing I consider when I buy a car is what it looks like if its ugly as a bag of spanner it doesn't matter how good the rest of it is I would have no intrest.
@@allanbriggs807 her driving position would be fine I guess for driving around town but personally I would say her steering wheel positioning is to low her elbows are down extremely low and arms very bent control of steering on B roads would be horrendous and not to mention airbag would be to low to work correctly

It's a gorgeous looking car.
One of the rare moments where getting lower version is better. Lower specs have actual buttons for the multimedia.
How much better does this look compared to the current trend of suv's...there is no comparison 😁👍excellent review 😁👍
Prefer my v90 cross country for looks. 508 estate too is better looking. Estates need to be big.

Your height makes it more troublesome if you're over a certain height too.
