If getting a better super IR camera, consider the P2 pro. It is a bit less $ than FLIR ONE, better resolution, better apps, faster startup, better warranty. I have owned both.
I have to admit that the P2pro really impressed me. Not only does the resolution and frame rate make it an excellent tool for diagnosing hardware of all shapes and sizes- it’s just a whole lot of fun to look at the world through this device.
I think this is exactly the same hardware as the previous Infiray model - the Tiny1-c thermal core. As I understand it the Thermal Master brand was set up due to concerns over import restrictions and other problems resulting from the hardware ending up in certain products used in Ukraine. I have a phone dongle camera (Tooltop T256) which appears to be based on the same sensor in a slightly different package. I can use both the original P2 Pro app and the new Temp Master app, and the camera is recognised in both as a P2. I've found it to be pretty decent and certainly very useful.
Comparison of Macro Lens = *YES* please! As an electronics buff, I really don't understand why all manufacturers don't offer a Macro lens option. Not everyone wants to check HVAC and thermals of large room surfaces 😢
I wonder how many OEMs there are in the thermal camera space. It would be cool if they raised the bar and started selling thermal cameras with a higher resolution.
Of course you have circuit boards. 😂 I think this means that you can check your PC components for hotspots in order to optimize the cooling performance of your system. Sounds super exciting in any case. Anyone who knows a bit about thermal imaging cameras knows how expensive they normally are (Bosch and co.) It would definitely be interesting for me to check my parents' apartment for cold bridges. They always complain about cold walls.
These comments give me the impression that you aren't aware of the vast variety of low cost thermal imaging products already available. This product is nothing new - the P2pro is just another model in a wide range of competitors (often at a lower price point)
The P2pro’s macro lens is 🔥! Perfect for circuit checks-super clear detail. And with smoothing on, the image gets way sharper. How can i get this badget?
Yes, please do a comparison shootout between the Tooltop P7 with macro lens vs the TOOLTOP 256*192 Infrared Mobile Thermal Imager camera vs Mileseey TR256i and the HTi HT-203U also.

The framerate change in 'X3' mode is immediately noticeable. I'd guess it's doing some temporal integration to supress noise and possibly do some supersampling.
Great review! really appreciate the comparison with a similar model and versus a quality handheld
Excellent video. Circuit board hot-spots would be the main use for me, then checking my house insulation in winter.

Dang! I was just today looking at the P2 because it was the best one I remembered from reviews a couple months back. I really need one!

it is incredible stuff indeed.

can you confirm you need the macro lens for Circuit boards?
It looks just like the infiray p2 pro? Sensor resolution is the same but X3 seems to be thermal masters solution?
imagine, this camera thermal on Viture Pro XR Glasses
This is basically the same as infiray p2 pro camera
Doesn't work with new phones.
Is it possible to enable hot/cold-spot markers?
The Thermal Master app doesn't seem to have this feature. I am sure some other apps do and are compatible with the P2/P2 Pro
Totally excited for this too! This feature doesn’t seem too hard to add-maybe they'll include it in a future update. Fingers crossed!🤣
