Why is it crazy? The people who bought the Wii for the right reasons (motion controls, exergaming) never stopped buying such titles for the Wii. In fact had Nintendo of America not stopped the production of Wii discs for the North American region in March of 2020, Just Dance 2021 would have made it to Wii. Wii kept buying it. Never stopped. 42:40 I remember always using those when I was in the hospital for brain cancer 2 times. Playing on it was fun and a distraction from the pain and stuff
i remember loving wii music but i think you had to like unlock everything in the game for it to actually be fun. you could choose whatever instrument you wanted and play through a list of songs and a lot of them were good ones we knew and i think there was nintendo songs in it as well? i’ve tried playing it again recently but i don’t know how to get to that point in the game lol
The Nintendo Wii was part of a fun era of gaming. Had a good portion of my childhood and teen years playing this system and even if I used to like making fun of the Wii's technical limitations, advertising, or even little things like branding aesthetics (soooooo many white and light blue menus), this freaking thing had a lot to offer! Some of my favorite titles included Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Xenoblade Chronicles, the Wario land and Warioware, Brawl, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Punch Out, The Simpsons Game, The Bigs, Of course most of the Mario/Zelda titles were pretty nice, and this is just to name a few that I remember having a blast with. There's also some other titles I wouldn't mind trying out if I ever got my hands on them, like some of the fighting games or even some M-Rated stuff like MadWorld or No More Heroes.
12:44 gpu of the GameCube was pretty powerful at the time, and was named after flipper the dolphin,so in order to honour it's impressive graphical capabilities, Nintendo used "dolphin" as a codename
If I recall, Just dance 2020 *is* the last version that ubisoft released in the wii and the new ones(21,22,23ED) is just a re-skin of the old engine that modders create for the wii
i've never got to live the full wii experience because i had the wii mini with no internet connection and impossible to hack but i still loved that thing, spent 200+ hours playing twilight princess, mario galaxy and other stuff
idk if this is mentioned down the iceburg (im only at 7:34) but the photo channel also lets you edit pictures and do puzzles from them!! i loved it as a kid
38:55 this entry could be referring to how the disc drives lighting pattern matches up exactly to the chirp of the japanese bush warbler bird. that’s my only guess idk what else the mystery could be
fun fact: the reason why it was called dolphin is because the codename for the gamecube was project dolphin, but idk if the name relates to a water game or something
!!!! I remember playing with something like the Starlight fun center picture you shared, while I was younger at least. It was all the way back when the N64 was still somewhat new and popular. I got sick often as a kid and had to stay within hospitals often... The hospital I went to had 2 general usage n64 stations that had the 3 games, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64, and Pokémon stadium. and 2 1-game only station on a different floor for kids who were in recovery. My hospital had Pokémon snap and Pokémon Stadium 2. and it may look creepy at first, but most of the time? It was comforting, a dim space with 2 big comfy chairs surrounded by a curtain for others to know the station was in use or free to use. Plus a place to hang objects on and a shelf with games to choose from for the general usage ones. Meanwhile the one game ones were made to look like an arcade machine, to make the child feel like they weren't in the hospital and instead just having a fun day out with your guardian or parent.
27:35 Nah mate. There was another game that used the keyboard. And I am not joking when I say that it literally shaped my childhood big time: Monster Hunter Tri. That game had an online mode. And boi was it a good, social experience. I ltierally spent thousands of hours chatting on there with strangers inbetween hunts, back when I was a child. One one of those Logitech keyboards you mentioned. If I look back, I can say: Boi did I talk some cringy ass shit back then. But it was such a simple and good time I wouldn't trade for anything. Sweet memories!
The Wii is not limited to specific keyboards, ANY USB Keyboard will work. Granted the real compatibility from game to game channel to channel will vary a BIT, but that just amounts to "does it use the default Wii on-screen keyboard" and if it does, a USB one will work fine.
2:07 I would like to confidently say that I, who has owned a Wii in the past as a child, have NEVER EVER EVER played Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort. That goes for Wii Music and anything similar. I would also like to mention that even at schools that have Wiis, I have never played it there, either. Only Just Dance was available to me. And one match of Brawl EVER, never had it at home. :D
For those who don't know where the Dolphin Emulator got its name, it's named after the Dolphin Chip, the CPU that powers the GameCube, Wii, and Triforce.
oh i had the dr who controller. from the uk, my mother and i were dr who fans and had a wii so it was like inevitable we would get it. dont talk to my mother anymore but i remember that. and getting sad i 100% completed a hannah montanah game bc i was obsessed with the show.
"internet browser only for hacking" you were not there for the flash era (wii browser supported flash) you could watch youtube, play games, use a usb keyboard, everything it was great also you could email people using the message board as well as gift people games and more another notable thing for twilight princess is that it was released for gamecube and wii at the same time

i remember loving wii music but i think you had to like unlock everything in the game for it to actually be fun. you could choose whatever instrument you wanted and play through a list of songs and a lot of them were good ones we knew and i think there was nintendo songs in it as well? i’ve tried playing it again recently but i don’t know how to get to that point in the game lol
I thougt it was because of how proud they were of the water rendering
This actually looks like a great video, im gonna watch it later but HOW DOES THE WII HAVE AN ICEBERG?
one of the most popular consoles with an extensive history
37:15 Just a B+?! 💀💀💀
I'm sorry, you don't play Zelda games? Impressive
If I recall, Just dance 2020 *is* the last version that ubisoft released in the wii and the new ones(21,22,23ED) is just a re-skin of the old engine that modders create for the wii
yay a new chillysu video!
its finally out!
@@chillysuBest videos
@@Kalataizgood Glazing
i've never got to live the full wii experience because i had the wii mini with no internet connection and impossible to hack but i still loved that thing, spent 200+ hours playing twilight princess, mario galaxy and other stuff
I have so much nostalgia for being the Netflix and Hulu channels to help me fall asleep back in high school. Good times!
6:43 I had so many good memories with the internet channel
It was the first time I was ever watching UA-cam videos on the tv
idk if this is mentioned down the iceburg (im only at 7:34) but the photo channel also lets you edit pictures and do puzzles from them!! i loved it as a kid
This was such a good, interesting and well researched iceberg video. Props to you man
38:55 this entry could be referring to how the disc drives lighting pattern matches up exactly to the chirp of the japanese bush warbler bird. that’s my only guess idk what else the mystery could be
thank you realbubbbble
@@chillysu yes sir🫡🫡
Best video i have seen in a while to be honest. I must say i find it a bit long but non the less i really was entertained
I love the effort you put into this video. It's really cool :0
(I should probably get back to making videos myself XD)
You say you won't, but you probably will make a video even longer. You will develop an insatiable hunger for it. :D
fun fact: the reason why it was called dolphin is because the codename for the gamecube was project dolphin, but idk if the name relates to a water game or something
this gonna be my most fave vid to sleep to. watched this twice, relaxed me to sleep. love the vid man
this comment honestly made my day
Meanwhile the one game ones were made to look like an arcade machine, to make the child feel like they weren't in the hospital and instead just having a fun day out with your guardian or parent.
really appreciate this comment, if i ever make a part 2 to this iceberg i will absolutely include your little story!!
"cool little animation"
Its the most frightening animation that I can witness on a wii, everything worse is static or text
Dope channel banner and vibe man!
And about page
And videos
holy shit the sudbury mention LMAO. we drove by that place so often
U should make those videos bout dat korean wii and mkwii deep dive ….👀
THE WII WRIST STRAP IS SHAPED LIKE A WII!?!, THATS AWESOME
great video!
This was such a great video man
Bro I actually remember playing flash games on my Wii via the internet channel using a Logitech keyboard lmao
One thing you forgot to mention
(This is very obscure) is that Wii play and possibly other games have GAMENAME for Revolution
29:49 funny stunt !
2020 was the last just dance in wii
I totally forgot about watching Netflix on the Wii!! Those were the good days…
43:40 the difference is that you can load in 1.0 mp3 files while in 1.1 you have to use aac files
My Wii never had internet connected to it, suprised how advanced it really was.
The Wii is not limited to specific keyboards, ANY USB Keyboard will work. Granted the real compatibility from game to game channel to channel will vary a BIT, but that just amounts to "does it use the default Wii on-screen keyboard" and if it does, a USB one will work fine.
2:20 ayo why yo mii throwin it back like that
Underrated channel im definetly gonna subscribe!
given my age my only memory of the wii is playing a penguin game on the balance board and that’s where my knowledge of the console until now
I just want to mention that bannerbomb no longer works, so if you are looking to hack your Wii use another exploit.
Can you really call it “the best selling game” if it was included with every Wii? I personally don’t think so.
This was a really nice video! perfect to fall asleep too
How is there no mention of the "hold your wee for a wii" contest :0
all of your videos are my favorite video!!
means a lot!!! tysmmm
i remember watching netflix on the wii when i was younger!!! literally every single night
For those who don't know where the Dolphin Emulator got its name, it's named after the Dolphin Chip, the CPU that powers the GameCube, Wii, and Triforce.
Nice video. I went to go play on my Wii after watching this. 😂
nothing. nothing will ever give me the same whiplash that hearing schlatt mentioned gave me.
I think the gyropod prototype controller was partially repurposed into the joycon controller grip years later
wii me just unlocked a hidden memory in my brain
I was kinda expecting some hardware details of the wii (like the starlet coprocessor) and Wii Linux, but you did a good job nonetheless.
certified knower of everything wii related is a great title to have 😊
oh i had the dr who controller. from the uk, my mother and i were dr who fans and had a wii so it was like inevitable we would get it. dont talk to my mother anymore but i remember that. and getting sad i 100% completed a hannah montanah game bc i was obsessed with the show.
"internet browser only for hacking"
you were not there for the flash era (wii browser supported flash) you could watch youtube, play games, use a usb keyboard, everything
it was great
also you could email people using the message board as well as gift people games and more
another notable thing for twilight princess is that it was released for gamecube and wii at the same time
