Agree about Science Worship. CS Lewis called it "scientism". I love his essay on the subject, and it's also great to listen to Donna discuss science worship because you can tell she really grasps the problem and can see it going on. Brings it home, gives it some real traction to hear someone discuss the issue in a conversational way.

You can literally see objects further than 3 miles away with a telescope or even a good digital camera. If the globe model were true, this wouldn't be possible.

You need to revisit your Galileo anecdote. It was a lot more nuanced. And don't forget Galileo came 100 years after Copernicus who was the real author of Heliocentrism.
Probably you would try Septuagint right besides tanach...and watch out Masoretic traps
For the insiders: this is why it's SO IMPORTANT to know the deep things of God, because if the Church had known WHY it was right about Galileo, we'd be in a much different (and likely better) position as a "planet" so to speak 😂

THere are quadrillions of planets and stars in the heaven. I am sure anyone would assume it takes more than a second to bring one into existence. A second to build the earth is a stretch. But more like a millisecond. God made the heavens and earth long before the first day of creation. Day in Hebrew is YOM and has about seven definitions including epoch . A very long undetermined time. When Genesis was being writen by Moses there were no other books we know of to compare styles with. Epoch makes more sense than a 24 hour day. The world was covered in water, granted a thin layer, there were no mountains so the ocean was thin, this was a pre-flood world. All that water was up in the midheavens, a water canopy up into the thermosphere hundreds of miles thick. If it was cloudy even the sun would not shine through it. We would be like Venus, dimly lit. The sun was there, perhaps it had not ignited yet. With the thick atmosphere the barometric pressure would have made it easy to fly or for giant creatures to walk the land. In today's gravity and atmosphere a Seismiosaurus , when standing up, would lose pressure to it's head and fall over and it's ankle arteries would burst from the pressure inside.
The reality is that more and more people are realizing the geocentric model is in fact more accurate after all, and the church can either be the leader in this and regain its authority or it can dig its heels in and go down in history as being wrong twice!
I don’t understand, why is it important that we believe all this Science. It seems so irrelevant.

@@34jhbjhbjhb You have made some assumptions in your logic. You say that Jesus was not properly educated. Since we have no information on Him from the age of 13 or so until the age of 30 it is quite possible He was in some type of organized training. Also, His similarities to the Essenes and their teachings shows a definite probability that He was educated in their schools of thought and theology. Is it proven? no but it is a definite probability. I happen to be a Donna Howell supporter and appreciate you defending her but also realize your own biases and presuppositions when critiquing others.

It's quite a disturbing moment when you have collected every Bible verse that describes the shape of the Earth and you are looking at the Hebrew your concordance and you realize what it's saying. But don't take my word for it!!!
