I like the way he dress.Simple, elegant, classy but not overdressed. I agree with that point that sneakers aren't that good looking on everybody especially when you dress sharp like he does.
I love this series "The way I dress" and I've watched all the videos number of times. It has helped me define my personal style as well. Please make new videos for this series.
when I talk with Nick yesterday on his show, he told me, he was unhappy about this video, because they told him what he must wear, it is not his personal style...
well the whole point was to sell a look mr porter put for him based on his personal style codes they are a online retailer after all so there job is to sell products
If you wore this all the time it would be alright. It would be pretty awful in the summer but you'd be fine the rest of the year. I've lived in LA all my life so I know.
@@ingmarfris8175 Agreed. Grew up in LA--Westwood. He's dressed appropriately. I have a coat like that...and I just leave it in the car...along with the sweater...and bust it out in the evening when it gets really nippy.
1:35...shoes are so new, the bottoms have the stickers on them...not sure if this is a true reflection of "his" style...more than a product placement...
If he hadn't done this Video, I would have thought he was a Executive in Banking, Insurance or even A Computer Engineer. I loved his Bathrobe & PJ's. Also when you look at the History of Fashion in Music, The Fashions are almost as Famous as The Artists. From The Beach Boys Striped Shirts in their early days, The Temptations & Beatles who both started out in Dark Suits then going through their Psychedelic Soul Era and Duran Duran who really showed the impact of Fashion most notably in Their Video The Reflex.

I want his house. That big open window looking out into the hills. Freaking awesome.
That's not his house. It's a rented holiday house
I doubt that's his, he's not THAT successful.
Nah, I saw Waterhouse live recently at a small venue. He's always dressing sharp and playing in key.
That’s John Lautners “Harpel House”. He doesn’t live there
that's one of the case study houses
Very anachronistic guy...Love his music. Something old is new again.
I like the way he dress.Simple, elegant, classy but not overdressed.
I agree with that point that sneakers aren't that good looking on everybody especially when you dress sharp like he does.
Paul Erricson
for you it's "mom boy" for other it's classy.
elegance is something that low minded people like you just don't understand...
Could easily wear some common projects sneakers with that outfit and look good.

Tomáš Říha well nick told me today he liked the video
Then why did he not dress the way he does. Do not do it and complain after.
@@yvonneboaten8289 cause Mr. Porter dressed him...

So much flavor and style in all of "The Way I Dress" series... simply amazing.
Nick is a top person and one of my "rhythm & blues friends", love his music and his style . Greetings from Brussels , Belgium .

I love these segments. Hope to see more of them soon :)
I love how him saying he can only be straightforward was a pretty snappy kiss-off.
the white t-shirt peeking from under the shirt totally ruins it for me
I agree. Unless you button the shirt all the way up then yes it's ok cuz the t shirt won't be visible.
I know why not v neck? Lol
Jeanle88 absolutely. Or go for a vneck
clean crisp classic
The song is If You Want Trouble by Nick Waterhouse.

damn wish the camera showed the amp EQ lol
That's the Harpel House, and I'm 95% sure he doesn't live there. They must have rented it for the film.

Nice jacket but a raincoat doesn't sound right for california. Nice shirt to me because I like bright color oxford shirts.
so he doesnt get pit stains?
Smart casual.
I need to invest in a shoe horn.
I'd also be interested in a "The way I undress"
*gets it
valet table/station
I was hoping this was Nick Wooster, when I looked at the title real quick. Big let down.
Thought this was a song. Like his music style though
It is, it's called "If You Want Trouble"
Some more British fashion would be great for this series... please?
It looks like John Lautners "Harpel House"..
Rug?
dressed up version of ace ventura
so weellll dressed
My kinda dude...
I like the guy's music and vintage sound but his clothes seem rather lacking.
Nothing strange about getting dressed in the livingroom
I love your house more than your clothes Nick, lol.
this guy is such a dork but he can rock with the best off them
Nick Waterhouse should try Firehouse subs amirite! Heheheh ok I’ll leave
why won't the world admit that wearing a t-shirt, shirt and sweater is really really uncomfortable?? :(
remaniscent of a young hugh hefner in the groto
This guy is pretentious in the best fucking way! :D
Mike Patton would beat this man up
the 50s called...THEY WANT EVERYTHING BACK.
keep your style up Nick. Looks great! You look like a man
guy dressed like he would´nt correct someone if they spelled his name wrong.
Shoes are cheap garbage
He doesnt look bad but he comes across as uptight, like hes all clenched up.
I don't like the look of a t-shirt under a shirt.
He dresses much better when he performs in comparison to this 'fashion-y' rubbish.
Nice way to ruin a nice outfit by those shoes.
+jwpa s They're a great contrast, and they suit his age and image.
jwpa s he ruined the outfit also with his personality
jwpa s u have no style
The T-shirt showing, those doofy looking shoes, his Ignorance about sneakers. He has rules that are dated. A turnoff
Navyforeveryoung Jean-Philippe his shoes are dope. U buggin
big feet
Completely out of place shoes and coat...
He sounds stuck up tbh

After watching several of these videos I guess you have to be built like a 12 y/o boy to wear modern fashion.
