This is awesome. I just want to add that I NEVER saw tithe as pressure. I only saw tithe/giving as a way to support my local church and the functions of my church. And I still see it like that. Giving is a way to support our church, plain and simple. Amen

Thank you Dr. Creflo Dollar for this great teachings. I paid my tithe today at church but I didn't pay because I was being afraid to be cursed if I don't pay. I confronted my Bishop's wife politely not not to ever say you're curse for not paying your tithe she likes quoting that scripture.
My sincere prayer for you is that God should protect you and your family so you can be use for more revelation in the body of Christ. The church today have move from the doctrine of Jesus and have embarrassed religion.
This is simple and clear. Our giving in the new testament is in response to what the grace of God had done for us.

Be careful how you hear, I came to hear first hand what the Man of God said about Tithes. What I get is that you still need to give, but it depends on you and not an obligatory percentage. Just remember, if you give sparingly, you'll reap sparingly, with whatever measure you give, it will come back to you. Lol, some people might be disappointed because the message encourages you to give even more than a tenth 😀. Thanks Apostle Dollar.
Thank you for making it plain. I think some people are missing it. He never said don't give 10%. What he said is if we recognize who God is in your own life no will have to pressure or force you to give 10%. Once you see God for who he truly is and what he is capable of you will not mind giving 10% and beyond. Also he is saying don't give out of obligation. If you don't want to give don't give. Because God blesses cheerfully. Thats exactly it sow sparingly, reap sparingly!!!

Creflo, you are so right on the mark! You have righty divided the word on this topic. People who are speaking against it have let their religion prevent them from hearing truth. We are not under the law of tithing, we are under grace! Grace allows us to give cheerfully because we know how Good God is and we give generously because He is so good to us! Tithing was never about blessings or us gaining money because we tithe. It was about obedience and when we read how The Father said to tithe, we see that it cannot be done like that today as per The Father's instructions. They have been modified to meet man's instructions and that's wrong. Giving 10 percent is what we choose to do then amen, but it is not connected to the law the FATHER gave in His instructions in the first 5 books. Abraham gave a 10th from the spoils of war not his crop or income. He wasn't instructed to do that; he chose to do that. Shalom

This is exactly why I left my church that follows in the foot steps of Gateway Church and runs through "the blessed life" series by Robert Morris yearly. They also require that you tithe in order to run a bible study through the church or sing on the worship team (which always rubbed me the wrong way). Tithing should never be a requirement from anyone for anything. It's a very personal and private thing between you and God only. Master manipulative tactics that use fear to get people to keep giving. Thank you for this word and I hope more churches realize the truth and preach the word as it truly is.

Thank God for this teaching Pastor Creflo Dollar. I was awakened with the truth about tithing years back, but the fear, shame and guilt preached/taught over the pulpits still made me feel like God was going go strike me down with lighting if I didn’t tithe smh. I’m glad that GOD put boldness and eliminated fear out of my heart regarding tithing and revealed unto to me through the scriptures how to properly give. My life and finances have tremendously increased and I have been able to bless so many people because I give with a cheerful spirit

I think one of the greatest sermons I heard in 2004.. Pastor Dollar taught how Abraham paid tithes before the law.. And that tithing is really a heart issue. I have been super blessed ever since then... What concerns me about this new sermon about tithing is under the law is that 80% of people will hear this and say oh OK now I don't have to give anything I'm free to give my $20 that's it. How is the gospel gonna be preached all around the world if people all of a sudden stop giving..

For the last 3 years God has been speaking to me about the truth in tithing, and I have flip flopped under the pressure many times. I had come to the conclusion that tithing is not for the New Testament believer, but giving is a response, and godly desire, not a mandated amount. Because of creflo I can clearly stand strong in the truth, because of his status in the church. He is highly respected by me, and I just needed that one word from God from someone I highly respected to hammer down the truth God was already speaking to me. This is a big deal to me because I was a true tither for over 15 years. God does not want us to give out of pressure!

@Steve If you had watched the video instead of well what I gather assumed, you would have heard that is what Pastor Dollar is saying rather than being forced to do something, but to obey the Spirit in obedience. I will accept graciously your prayer's, however I am by no means Lost... Also, Instead of trying to be "humble in knowing" why not ask me what I meant by my comment to engage in understanding...and if then I may have said something off (like you did) then we can talk about fixing situations. And so to share...what revelation that was confirmed was me "feeling" forced to give, I didn't quite agree to that...SO I worked things out with the Lord and Creflo just confirmed what I heard in my spirit...I will give Time, resources or Abilities based on what Jesus tells me to now what men do... We are a body, fitly joined for his use...and you may need to reexamine your discernment of Pastors like Brother dollar. And just because someone may have said something wrong doesn't make them fully wrong...its called growth. Thank you for your prayers.
This preacher shared that Abraham did not pay tithe and said that this tithing is of the law yet we read in the new testament these words in the book of Hebrews 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

This message was so amazing !Generous giving for me sir. I am going with the better..I am so grateful. May I add…. I started tithing or giving more than 10% early this year. Thank you for putting into words and giving biblical insight and understanding to what God had started planting in my heart. AND it feels so good to give more than 10. It was scary at first but the love in my heart for God and what he has done for me superseded that.

"I will never be afraid to preach the truth".I love what he said. All have sinned but the good thing is realizing your mistakes and repent.
But will he give some of the money back? Times are changing for churches, and mega churches are feeling it financially, they know that certain ways aren't working anymore, so it's hard to tell who is sincere. However, repentance and forgiveness is for all of us to do.
Creflo should have realized his mistakes a long time ago, he new that he was lying the whole time, I'm in a church that tells you what they want you to give, I don't follow that up though,I have common sense.

It's God's timing to know when and how people should repent. Judgment isn't our role, let's accept and embrace those who repent and pray for them to be established in the kingdom. When Simon Peter denied the Lord, Jesus never came back after resurrection asking him that why did you deny me??? Instead He asked him do you love me? And Peter said Yes Lord..He(the) Lord Lord said feed my sheep....so let's embrace those who have accepted repentance after their long time of darkness. Tithing is inviting God to be a part of everything your doing and acknowledging it is he who gives the power to gain wealth and you want him to be first place because he is the ONLY REASON WHY your able to produce what you have and what continues to come in. The Holy Spirit has reveal deeper revaluation about tithing to the point it takes you to the supernatural levels.. Tithing is Gods way for his people to receive all of his promises which also releases wisdom to keep it when you get there.. Loving God takes you into a deeper level of giving to the point the 10th is just not enough.. Pastor Dollar you just sealed the deal.. This preaching is on point . Its teaching us and reminding us all to not just give out of fear but to give because we just love God and we appreciate how much he continue to save us from ourselves daily.. So give because Gods loves and his promises are yes and amen . God wants to be a part and not just words.. Your tithing is an act of love!

Tithing ain't money its food Malachi 3:10 is talking about food read Deuteronomy 14:21-34 and the tithe was for the Leviticus preist they had no land inheritance read numbers 18:21-24. It was never money.
Today the money offering would be What Paul spoke and warn isrealite in captivity in 1 or 2 Corinthians 11-4 captivity according to Luke 21:24. Also Micah 3:11.
This message is so deep. Making people do things out of fear is what the devil does. A lot of people live under so many conditions if you don't do this you will not get this or this will happen to you. God doesn't terrorize people into doing anything for the kingdom. He gives freewill. Even giving your life to Jesus is a choice. Living with no fear is what gives us boldness to give to God wholeheartedly. Thank you man of God.
Being free in Christ, feels a lot better when standards are not being set for you, I always feel better giving to people abruptly because God has given me even before I was born, we can never be able to give enough but there are people who are incapable of giving, I've met some. And I agree doing things out of fear is evil because your spirit is not free in the lord's grace.

STRAIGHT GOSPEL TRUTH RIGHT HERE!!!!!! I have been in fear of not tithing in church all my life because of what was taught to me. I constantly heard "Will a man rob God?" over and over again right before offering time. It felt like a guilt trip. There have been so many times I just didn't have it and gave what I could in church just so I wouldn't make God mad at me or curse me for not tithing. But, as I matured in the Lord, I realized that God was blessing me anyhow. Bills got paid, Still had my job, Husband and kids were healthy, etc... I gave to others A LOT because I'm a giver (clothes, shoes, money, food, etc..) . My husband said if I had a million dollars today, I'd be broke tomorrow because I been done gave it all away. LOL. Hearing this message has freed me from the many years of guilt I had when I just couldn't give like I really wanted to at church. I love the fact that I can now be a GENEROUS giver when I can without feeling pressured or afraid when I just don't have that 10% at the time of giving during offering at church. I am now in the position to do so. I didn't always have money but I gave with the other things I had. Thank you Pastor Dollar for not being afraid to teach pure GOSPEL and opening the eyes of many. I am starting to UN-learn a lot of things that was taught to me growing up in church. Thanks God for fresh revelation backed up with scripture!

Tithing is giving the 10th so if people give their 10% this still performance based giving. There should be no number tied to giving it could me 10, 5 , 20 as you purpose in your heart so while he did not say don’t stop tithing he really is saying check your motives of giving and make sure it comes from a place of gratitude and generous giving for what God has done for you.

*3 Types of Tithes ALL Christians need to tithe:*
*1st Tithe and Offerings*
The 1st Tithe is for the support of what God is doing through the ministry He places to serve His Body and to support the individuals doing the work. We can see this functioning when Abram gave Tithes to Melchizedek in Gen 14:18-20 and in the instructions for Israel to give the Tithes to the Levites. *In Hebrews* we see a transition back to the Melchizedekian Priesthood (i.e. *NEW TESTAMENT FORM OF TITHING IS NOW FOR CHURCHES, NOT THE LEVITES* ), providing the Body with Biblical instruction and counsel.
Today, your 1st Tithe (10% of income or profit from your business) should be given to the ministry that is functioning in those roles. This was the main point being made in the book of Hebrews, as the Temple was being destroyed by the Roman Empire, so a case had to be made for Christians to not worry about no longer having Levitical priests their tithes, but rather send it to the priests/pastors appointed to represent Jesus Christ in the REPLACEMENT type of priesthood....which is one that does not depend on ancestry, i.e. a priesthood WITHOUT genealogy (aka Melchizedek priesthood).
Offerings are your expression of appreciation, from your heart, to God for the many blessings you experience in your life.
*2nd Tithe*
The 2nd Tithe is for you to use in your celebrating of the Holy days (NOT pagan holidays like Christmas though, but the Biblical ones celebrated by *MESSIANIC CHRISTIANS* / HEBREW ROOTS CHRISTIANS). You can find this in Deut 14:22-27. Only use this money for the feasts listed in the Bible by God, and not for anything else.
This second tithe is not meant to be given to your church. You should hold onto your 2nd Tithe so that you may use it during the Holy Feasts. God even allows you to use it to buy party food and drink, even alcohol 😮, so that you can enjoy the celebrations.
If you have excess 2nd Tithe (any left-over money after the last Holy Feast of the Hebrew calendar year, usually around September in the Gregorian calendar) you can send the excess money to church and ask the church to use it to provide benevolent help to those wanting to come to a Holy Feast locally or abroad, who need help to do so. No, it's not to help the poor buy turkey for Christmas, as that is NOT part of God's appointed Holy Days.
*3rd Tithe*
The 3rd Tithe is to be donated to the sojourner, the widow and the fatherless twice every 7 years. In other words, the third tithe is to provide for those that are of low income, disadvantaged and in great need. You can find this in Deut 14:28-29. You only need to collect it for 2 years out of every 7 years. So if you start tithing your first tithe this year, then on the subsequent 3rd and 6th year, you will save this ADDITIONAL tithe throughout the third and sixth year...and ideally ask your church to assist you in giving that money to the poor or financially challenged people God leads you to help.
It is very easy to be taken advantage of by some people who claim they need money. So when it comes to who you should be helping with this 3rd tithe money, please seek wise counsel from your pastor. People can be wasting money on the wrong people who might just be too lazy to work or prone to reckless spending. That is why God instructs us to send the 3rd Tithe to the “storehouse,” the ministry, to be distributed to the widows, poor or disadvantaged people, with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

God bless you as you seek wisdom and understanding and desire to build a deeper, more intimate and more obedient relationship with God by taking the time to spend learning about the *3 types of Tithes* and then eventually practicing them as you get used to them. God never expected anyone to learn and obey all His commandments at once. He teaches us in stages, just like we teach our children numbers and alphabets, and then how to count, multiply, do algebra and calculus, and read, write, spell etc. "Precept upon precept, here a little, there a little, line upon line". It's called maturing in Christ, going from basic food like milk to solid food like meat. That is why God started out by giving His people only 10 commandments *to start off with*. Then once they've learnt it, almost each time Moses went to spend time with God, God would give him yet more laws to teach the people, until it reached 613 commandments of do's and dont's. Apostle Paul did not expect new believers to be able to instantly learn and obey all these commandments. He knew it could take years of weekly study of these laws before the new Christians would reach his own level of maturity and obedience. This was why Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to learn all the laws of Moses by attending Bible study every week, as written in Acts 15:21.
So don't worry yourself if you need to take a long time to learn and start obeying the laws of the 3 tithes. Remember...precept upon precept...line upon line...from milk to solid meat 😍

Indeed, concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is not the full counsel of God. It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider.
-- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites.
-- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple.
-- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the scriptures that speak to these issues. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures.
Four biblical truths, regarding tithing:
(1) There is no scripture that authorizes anyone but a Levite to receive tithes.
(2) There is no scripture that authorizes a pastor to receive tithes.
(3) There is no scripture that requires a Gentile to tithe.
(4) There is no scripture that requires the church to tithe.

@@ndianau Thank God the information has been a blessing to you. My goal is to let people know the truth, because the truth will set them free. In my earlier days I was approached by a family who wanted to know if they should pay their bills or tithe. They could not afford to do both. I told them what the church had always told me: "Tithe." That was not good counsel, but at the time I didn't know better. Eventually, through a series of God-inspired revelations, I learned that tithing was not a New Testament requirement, and that it had no place in the church. Interestingly, once my eyes were opened, I began to see scriptures that were always there, confirming the revelation. I could not "see" those scriptures earlier.
It is important to understand that I've read the bible about 10 times, cover to cover, and I've read the New Testament about 20 times in my life. I know what the bible says. Yet, I still couldn't "see" the passages that prove tithing is not for the New Testament church. That is the challenge before the body of Christ. We have been so indoctrinated and intimidated into believing tithing is a godly, holy thing, it is hard to "see" that it has no place in the New Testament church. Tithing was deliberately introduced to the church in the Dark Ages, in order for the Catholic church to make the money they received from the congregation more permanent and reliable. It was a money-making scheme.

Most Evangelical Christian Pastors, in my opinion, over emphasized tithing. Given the fact that 90% to 95% of the congregation didn’t tithe but gave cheerfully according to their hearts most Pastors would shame the later and condemn them with a curse. I am happy that one of the more prominent “PROSPERITY GOSPEL “ Pastors has had a revelation of truth. Many will dispute and condemn him.

@@sam-tc4oo No he didn't however, Paul's ministry was different from the other apostles. Jesus gave him the gospel of grace(Christ) in his gospel tithing is no longer required. The Levitical priesthood is no longer ordained by God according to Paul's ministry.

I still think he needs to repent and maybe give every member some kind of retribution because they have been giving and giving and I bet a lot are struggling.
