Suicune Battle from Pokemon G/S/C (Mario Paint)

Eighty-fifth video. At long last, I have completed Mario Paint arrangements of all the G/S/C Battles! Initially exclusive to Crystal, this is the background music for encountering the legendary beasts Raikou, Entei, and especially the Crystal version mascot Suicune.
This awesome theme gets the distinction of being the first ever battle music for a legendary pokemon! Musically, recreating this by ear was quite a challenge. In general, it's very difficult to distinguish the lowest notes in the Game Boy sounds. But the most complicated part was text file 1, the intro -- it actually skips half a beat and doesn't immediately establish the bass note pattern! This characteristic as well as the harmonic language certainly give the theme an otherworldly quality.
I initially was going to use Mario Paint Composer for this (like the rest of the battles in the series), but I went for Rehdblob's Super Mario Paint because I really wanted that low A. However, even though it's not Mario Paint Composer, I tried to keep my Super Mario Paint rendition of this theme largely consistent with the others in the series. So I still followed the five-note limit even though I didn't need to. I'm very excited to have finally finished the G/S/C battles -- the first one was my second video produced in 2008! Ahh, good stuff here. Dunno how this went under my radar for just about two weeks now xP Either way, I quite like this. Classic tune from arguably the best Pokemon game (it's personally my favorite generation of Pokemon =P)
Kinda makes me want to do the Vs. Raikou variation from HG/SS now =P

It seems like it would take a lot of effort to write these arrangements in Mario Paint. I'll stick with Finale. Nevertheless, it sounds great, like the rest of your videos.
