I just bought two of these Moment car mounts for my wife and I. Unfortunately, one of them was defective. The rubber clip part that attaches to the vent detached from the magnet. The adhesive/glue that attaches these two parts together did not hold and is not strong. My wife was driving with it while on face time with me and it fell to the floor. Initially she thought it completely fell off the vent, but no. The rubber was still on the vent, while the magnet was still on her phone. The metal clips that are inside and glued to hold these two pieces together became undone.
@@p10rambo I believe it was a defective one. I bought two and I haven't had any issues with the other one. I actually fixed the defective one with some gorilla glue and now it works fine.
Thanks for your work . Why even 1 year later no-one released an OFFICIAL Made For Magsafe certified car-mount (Even Belkin ?!?) ? It's really strange . Seems it's not very secure to charge at 15W in a car ?!?
I noticed you showed the mount in a car that’s vents seem SPACIOUS. What about cars like Honda civics where the vents are small . Will the vent “handle” get in the way of the mount and phone ?
@@xgurbyx hey man… just an update for you. I bought the vent mount , worked just fine in my Honda Civic… no problems 👍 … it slips on just fine in the slat just above or below the “handle piece” on the vent
Maybe review the rokform car vent mount? Currently have rokforms iPhone 12 rugged case but don’t wanna spend the $20 if this is more competitive price while still being a good product,
Will the moment phone wall mount also work well in the car? I plan to stick it on my old car mount. The car mount is flat, as I will remove the pieces that hold the phone together.
I just got the phone case and the magnets are as weak as the ones on the apple cases. With the car mount video, he says potholes will not drop the phone but why not show up one video when recording. I know many viewers have had good magnet car mounts, if you have this does not compare.
