Really great lesson! Connecting a chord sound to an emotion is a much better way than most other music theory on youtube. Bravo! Looking forward to more 😃
This is such a wonderful video! We all hear these things going on in the soundtracks of film, television other orchestral arrangements but this video actually "explains the magic" in tangible, technical terms. Think about that for a moment and how valuable this to you in your musical journey. When I sat down at my keyboard after watching this video I felt that a new door had been opened. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with the rest of us.
I just discovered your channel yesterday or the day before and instantly subbed . I used this technique recently in a piece that I wrote and I had no idea what it was but I just love the sound of it. It’s very emotive. Your teaching style and pacing is just pitch perfect. Thank you.
This is one of those composing videos that I am going to save in my YT library! Great new information and I am going to experiment with the State Harmonic Scoring System, thanks a lot! Grz from the Netherlands
Fantastic, Michael. I started subscribing a few years ago because I love Bottom 40 but this is a whole different and fascinating dimension. Loved the Simpsons example.
