Timeline of How PAUL GEORGE and the PACERS FAILED to Win a Title
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 сер 2021
- The Indiana Pacers, lead by Paul George, built on a familiar foundation of elite defense, inimitable chemistry and veteran leadership: appeared poised to shock the world. Seemingly out of nowhere, the tight-knit Pacers had become chief rivals and worthy adversaries of LeBron James, and a modern-day NBA dynasty in the Miami Heat.
However, the Pacers collapsed in on themselves beneath the weight of such expectations. Their fall was nearly as swift as their rise.

Took the biggest L trading Kawhi on draft night
No one saw the potential of Kawhi during that time
@@jaywarvz they must regret that now
They already had Paul George and Danny Granger that time. And the pacers needed a point guard and got george hill which i think worked out well for them during the PG era
But George and Kawhi in the same team rn but not in Pacers
as far as I know Pacers werent suppose to draft Kawhi.. the Spurs told them too so that they can trade him for George Hill. Spurs Scouting tram the only one saw potential on Kawhi
22 year old PG was looking like the next Lebron early on when the Pacers almost beat the Heat. Absolute bummer what happened to PG on THAT DAY but seeing how he’s bounced back every basketball fan is happy for him.
He was phenomenal!
Peak PG
@@tj5180 Nah that was 2019
You can make one of these timelines next:
1. Magic Johnson started the Showtime Lakers
2.Larry Bird won 3 titles with the Celtics
3.Pistons Bad Boys era
4.Kings Playoff drought since 2006
5.Pistons rebuild from Drummond to drafting Cade
6.Timberwolves rebuild from Rubio to Edwards
7.Blazers rebuild from Aldridge to Dame & McCollum
8.Spurs rebuild from Kawhi to Derozan
9.Michael Jordan's last 3 peat until retirement
10.Cavs rebuild from Kyrie to Sexton
Thanks.
Thanks for these suggestions
@Kings Will Soon Rise lol
A lot these only take place for like 5 years at most
Paul George literally did a good job of carrying the pacers but they couldn’t make the finals
True man. They were so close
The heat
@@jaywarvz i mean lebron james. what can you do
They just needed that final piece and the injury didn’t help
I still have nightmares about both Grangers injury situation how he could never get healthy and Paul George breaking his leg in a scrimmage game.
The biggest mistake was getting rid of Danny Granger during the PG era.
They really thought they couldn’t have both simultaneously for some reason
They were right to trade Granger. However, they should've waited until the off-season to trade him. The pacers were doing fine before the trade so it didn't really make any sense to make moves.
Granger was very important as a veteran presence and locker room guy. That trade is the beginning of their collapse.
@@dubbyu4286 I think Granger had more value than the Pacers think.
@@dubbyu4286 Even the Pacers players were saying that Granger presence the glue why they were so good at that time. It's not a coincidence they had locker room issues after they traded Granger.
The Pacers with PG24 back then are one of the most underrated teams in the history of the league. Crazy how they miss out on having Kawhi and PG together they might have win a championship or two
🔥🔥🔥
No they werent
Re-watching this makes me want PG to win a ring more than ever. Been through so much physically and mentally. Next season might be his best shot with a healthy Clippers 🤞🤞
🙏🙏🙏
I loved these 12-15 teams there what made me fall in love with basketball
😍😍😍
Frank Vogel was the scapegoat. Larry bird didn’t give him a roster to even compete against those heat and he took the best lebron lead team ever in 2013 to 7 games and the other heat teams to 6 games 2 more times. I don’t think many coaches in nba history could have done better job than Vogel in 2012-2014. Those pacers team offensively were insanely worse than the heat on offense, like they weren’t even on same galaxy. It insane that people call Vogel overrated, these people are hella dumb, he is the opposite, criminally underrated. Stephen A smith in my eyes is wrong most of the time, but he was right to blame Larry bird. I’m glad that Vogel gets another chance with lebron on lakers cuz he definitely deserves it.
You got it right man
The best content. Pacers are dumb for trading Kawhi like imagine that super team they would have and can you do the Celtics to Tatum!
Thanks man. I'll do it soon
its not like kawhi was gonna improve with paul george
@@vortex2562 if he improved with Tim Duncan he would've improved with Paul
It’s so easy to say that in hindset. How many 15 pick players turn out to be superstars?
@@Blzej23 Exactly. It's like saying that Cleveland is dumb for not drafting Giannis Antetokounmpo 1st overall in 2013.
malice at the palace was funny ngl…Ron artest was upset because he didn’t get the 2 free sticks in the shaq pregnancy test…
😂😂😂
I still ask this question to this day, what if Danny Granger didn't get injured?
Then the Pacers might win it all
They would’ve game 7
They would Actually win and make the finals
Simple Lebron would have just 1 chip.
Paul george wouldn’t be a star because granger was the main man
Thanks for the vid! Really nice
Welcome man
We gotta respect jay for uploading great videos weekly that make us feel joyful
Yow thanks man!
Sad for the Pacers missing their chance to win a chip. IMO they got to blow it up and do what OKC are doing, get as many young studs and assets as you can and try to organically develop a championship like the Bucks
Yeah they are now stacked to mediocrity
nice storyline! looking forward to see more videos here!
Thanks man
Jay back it CONGRATS ON 15 K

thanks man. soon
Channel underrated fr
Thanks man
Another banger
Thanks man
They literally could have had Kawhi and PG but they traded Kawhi for George Hill 🤦😐
Thing called hindsight.
Yeah. What could have been in Indiana
We see what it is today on the clippers imagine both of them in there prime they could have definitely won a chip
7:43 ah yes the Pacers traded a past pick along with granger to the sixers
I'm sorry for the mistake man. It should be 2015 pick
PG bein' wit' the pacers was amazin' to see!
Indeed man
These pacers teams were dope fr 🔥
Indeed man
great video. wouldve prefered to not see pgs leg injury, but thanks for the timeline
sorry man
Hi Jay, please do a video on 76ers rebuild from Allen Iverson to current roster. Thanks
Soon man
The Heat was just too strong for this team to beat. It’s just tough that the Pacers can’t get over the hump and at least make one finals appearance. Pretty much how teams today can’t pass the Warriors because they’re just too damn good.
💪💪💪
Congrats on 15K subs!
Wow thanks man
@@jaywarvz You're very welcome!
that oladipo injury really hurt the future of pacers...hope they can get better after a few years
Indeed man
Please do the timeline of Minnesota Timberwolves from drafting Kevin Garnett to 2021

Hope you enjoyed the vid man
Congrats on 15k! The Spurs up next?
Thanks man. Sure
You the only UA-camr I saw reply to every comment.
Thanks man
PG had an MVP type season in 2018-2019 like man I am a Warriors fan but i found it satisfying when the Thunder destroys gsw
also dont forget the fact that OKC was a Top 3 team in the west and they choked in the second half of the season and we all know that Dame shot that eliminated the Thunder
Really wish PG spent more time in OKC
💪💪💪
Like man no one asked
Also dont forget that OKC got bounced in the first round so no one cares about them being a top 3 seed for the first few months
@@nonamewillbegiven it's the fcking internet I can say whatever I want
Hi Jay. Can you do 2008 Celtics to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown?
Sure man
Danny Granger going down allowed PG to develop into a number one option on offense, but they honestly win a ring in 2013 if he’s healthy.
Probably man
No they dontt
good job well done can you do kings next with chris webber era to 2021 era please
Soon man
@@jaywarvz thanks
The pacers almost had Kawhi with him he could of helped the pavers pass the Heat but at least him and Paul are teemates in the Clippers
Yeah man. No one saw the potential of Kawhi during that time
Imagine if kawhi and PG played together. Definitely would have won a chip 😂
Probably man
Yeah and they might blew a 3-1 lead if they played together 😆😆😆
People don't realize that kawhi might not be the kawhi today because indiana would not develop him the same way the spurs did
They are still a powerhouse team at that time with George Hill but the Heat big 3 are just too much for them, I mean they brought the heat to game 7
Lol they played in clippers but ended up in denver haha
Can you do a video the rebuilding of the bulls and the free agency.
Soon man
The dunk on bird man was nasty !
One of the best dunks
I'm a Pacers fan. Personally i think this year can we reach play-off.

At 5:14 for those who wonder why it is 49-32 but not 50-32: the Pacers had a game vs Celtics that was cancelled due to the Boston bombing.

soon man
I wish you would drop more videos often 🔥🔥🔥
will do man!
I remember the 2018 NBA Finals, and one of the many things that kept me laughing my butt off was:
Pacers traded Kawhi Leonard... for this guy? Yeah, real smoothand clever of them. Sure, his development was more of a surprise afterwards, but to put these words onto paper nowadays, it makes me crack up on the thought.
😱😱😱
Please do the pelicans
Yes man
Miss this squad blue collar gold swagger
🔥🔥🔥
8:51 we just gonna ignore how that shot actually counted?
Yeah man
Lol I didn’t even notice that

Could you do a Spurs downfall from 2014 to 2021?
Sure man
Thanks for the video. Really appreciate it. Hoping for more videos man 💯
Wow thanks man for the support
The Pacers had everything go wrong for them. Granger injuries, losses to Miami, PG’s injury and getting mad at Indy, Oladipo injuries, and that’s why they’re right where they are
Agree with you man
Imagine Kawhi, Davis Bertans, and PG13
what could have been
Davis Bertans isn't a big deal.
Wow
☺☺☺
Requesting again Portland bill walton era

I'm just feel the pacers history
Wow that's great
@@jaywarvz I'm wasn't a fan of them but they literally try hard to make a great history one day

PG13 looking like hes still in his prime with the Clippers
true man
Larry bird made the dumbest trade on draft night kawhi Leonard and Paul George and Roy hibbert that would of been a dangerous lineup
Yeah man. But no one saw it comin
No and Hibbert sucks
Can you do the heat after Lebrun James left in 2014
