Wow he's a gorgeous bull. I'm a new subscriber. And cattle are by far my favorite animal I love all kinds of cattle breeds. And Nguni is up there as one of favorites right up there with Brahma because of all the crazy crosses you can make with a Brahma.
Hi Lomelelo, The difference I referred to is not a paper value as such. Rather the fact that the Nguni came from a farm with extremely dry difficult conditions, while the Tuli bull came from a much wetter environment - but with very sour pastures. Both are brilliant indigenous breeds that will each bring something different to the table.
So Shane, now that you have Basjan and Fred as your two bulls. Who are you going to use for calving purposes seeing that Basjan is turning 2 years in December. Are you going to use both of them at the same time or is there a particular method you have in mind? I am.just curious😊...
Hi Felani, Fred will service the two Tuli cows and most of the Simbras. Basjan will do the nguni girls and the smallest simbras. Then I'll wait till the calves come and see how they look.
Congratulations on your new bull.
He is a wonderful bull.
You will need to stay alert around him.
I hope that the breed inspectors pass him.
Thanks! He's a spicey one. Can't wait to see how he develops!
A beautiful bull there..keep him well.
I'm doing my best!!!
Well done Shane! He is a good looking bull with some attitude ofcourse😂. I can see success in your farm with him around. Great investment there.
Thanks Felani, I think he's going to do well for us!

🤣🤣🤣 it was close!!!
Congratulations on the purchase! Is there a reason you chose to buy a 2 year old Bull, in particular?
Not really. He had 3 bulls available - one was 3 years old but this one caught my eye the most.
