I got a lot of motivation and work ethic from Kobe Bryant/ I listened to his every interview where he talks about "Mamba mentality"/ And it fits into trading like nothing else. And what I'd like to add to what Mike said is prepare yourself to trying to get better every day even if you fell bad. We'll never achieve a succes if we work only when feeling OK. Thank you, Mike for another great video with another great tips/ You're doing a really amazing work!

Thank you Bella, excellent balanced guideline of good habits to have success in trading. What I have observed is that to become
good at trading you must become a different person. That implies getting out of your "comfort zone". As I just heard
last week someone said "Change only comes from pain". Growth and comfort do not coexist. This is my humble opinion. The
question is How bad we want to become
    good at something.
Everyone, here's my 2¢ for the video summary, please watch the entire video. You may have different highlights.

    01. PLAYBOOK - Daily file your best setups. Reverse Engineering using "Playbook" format.
    02. RECORD YOUR TRADING SCREENS - Take notes and watch back important moments from the tape. If using TOS platform use
"On Demand" it's only 2 days behind of real time.
    03. MINDFULNESS TRAINING - Mind is part of your edge. Can use "Headspace" or "Muse" app.
    04. SLEEP - Develop an Optimal Sleep routine. Same time, length and quality. Record your "Sleep"and check the correlation
of your trading performance. Oura ring.
    05. TRADERVUE - Journal tool. Tag your trades. Write your thoughts. Measure performance using your labeling.
    06. BOOK OF CHARTS - Find the chart of the day and file it. Review all your charts over the weekend.
    07. EXERCISE - Develop a weekly exercise routine. Fitness is part of your edge.
    08. DIET - Develop an eating routine that works best for you. Everyone is different. This is part of your edge too.
    09. MENTORING SESSIONS - Be present. Ask good questions. Be a sponge. Win the session.
    10. TECHNOLOGY - Improve your technology skills daily. Alerts, scripts, filters, models.
    11. AM PREP - Prepare as you'd run the AM meeting. Build your stock selection skills. What you trade is more important
    that how you trade.
    12. DAILY REPORT CARD - Pick and work on "One Goal". Complete DRC at the end of each T Session on progress for that OG.
    13. TALK TO TRADERS - Learn from Jr and Sr traders. They will see diff things that you have missed and from which you can
learn. If not in a Prop firm use Twitter or "Tradervue".
    14. GAME PLAN BIG TRADES - Written Plans of any possible "next big trade" scenarios that could happen on the beta stocks or
    any stock your are following.
    15. GAME PLAN BEFORE AM MEETING - Top 3 ideas. Long & shorts. Where am I going to make most of my $$? Set alerts for
ideas 4-6. Easy 2 lose sight when Mkt is open.
    16. DAILY GRATITUDE EXERCISE - 3 things you are grateful for each day. Helps put things in perspective.
    17. TRAIN YOUR BRAIN - You could use BrainHQ app, 15 mins/day. Traders are electronic performers athletes. This is part
    of your edge.
    18. RELATIONSHIPS - Spend time with friends and family. Happiness improves performance says the science.
    19. LEARN DAILY - Develop a daily learning routine (i.e. audiobooks/podcasts in your commute or workout)
    20. RIP THROUGH CHARTS - Develop a daily system to rip through charts. Daily & Weekly charts. Longer term BO's & BD's.

However, i found myself put negative emotions in words, which could negatively affect my psychology. Hey Mike this is most helpful content, i appreciate you and SMB Capital Team for such a effective trading information) but i would like to suggest one more thing which is highly effective for mind pratice and i have been using it since last 6months, it really balance the state-of-mind to take decisions that gives edge to manage emotions effectively and that is helfup to traders (Even Ray Dalio,Hedge Fund Manager use transcendental meditation pratices, and he even says Meditation more than anything in my life was the biggest ingredients of whatever success I've had.) that make sense, and others things I want to suggest is trading affirmation before you start trading, that commands the brain to think constructively, objectively, and pragmatic way.(Affirmation books- 40 Affirmation for trading by Yvan.)
I love your book- ONE GOOD TRADE :)
    Blessing :)

Love these videos. I use SMB info for option trading and still very useful. Mike, what do you mean by "what" you trade is more important? Do you mean the type of volatility or industry or story stocks? Or just good setups? Can you elaborate a little? I think I know what you mean but wanted to ask. To me it means avoid low vol or low probability trades. Do you just move on or still watch it?

I have a luminosity account, it's a formidable alternative to brainhq. They got brain games to exercise 5 different mental categories. They track your scores so you can see your mental capacity increase overtime pretty sick!

    • @Tealeafsong
      @Tealeafsong 5 років тому

brainhq is especially interesting because it is Michael Marciniak's original programs used in his groundbreaking research at McGill University on neuro-placticity back when the idea that brains could change was verboten in academic circles. His "sound swooop" program is there free for anyone to use. It is counter intuitive that listening to changing sounds and learning to identify them could have such far reaching effects on multiple brain functions. It looks like you are already into this kind of thing, so this unexpected effect might be of interest to you. I highly suggest giving his free tools a two week try and see what your results are. There is definitely some overlap on the two sites: an example is the dual end back games.

There is a guy who has like a half million followers and he charge them around 150 per month to teach them how to trade and he tweets signals to buy of course he already has a position (I think) I get in with small contracts, never fail, 😂 make good money in lottery options.

Hey Mike! Thank you for the content! I'm wondering how a small guy that doesn't have access to firms (yet) can gain access to dedicated mentoring. I live in south Texas and although there are some trading firms in the area I've yet to really connect with people who trade seriously as a full-time passion job. I know many that invest on the side or who will take a trade a month but none that I believe would be a good mentor to someone who wants to be very active in markets on a daily basis. When you say mentoring, can this be outsourced somewhere? Are there places I could go online to have video chats with a mentor that I could send PDF trade reviews, or game plan process, or daily preparation, out of market hours work, etc to that we could discuss and I could gain valuable feedback from? Thanks!
