- Building resilience with meditation
How mindfulness meditation helps to change our relationship with stress and trains us to find greater mental freedom.
The talk will explore the neuroscience and chemistry of stress and resilience, and will explain how mindfulness practice can radically improve our internal state.
Gelong Thubten is writing a book on mindfulness with Ruby Wax and the neuroscientist Ash Ranpura. He is also teaching mindfulness to medical students at the National University of Ireland. He is interested in the scientific research on the effects of mindfulness on the brain and body, and will share some of this during this presentation. He is also highly active in the corporate world where he teaches mindfulness to teams at companies such as Google, and also works in hospitals and council departments, and he will share some advice about bringing mindfulness to a busy workplace.

Gelong Thubten is the best teacher i have seen out of buddhism, and i have seen quite a bit. I don't think any other western monk has his level of clarity, intention and harmony. I see a huge potential for him to develop to become as great as the buddha.

Very good teachings. I find that many long term teachers over emphasize how long it takes to awaken. Whereas, Gelong Thubten gives practical instruction on how to find peace in this very moment.
