    The one thing which blew my mind away was following: I was meditating daily for almost 3 Years. I went through tough times, where depression, depersonalisation etc. happend. It was because I was seeing truth through the practice of meditation, I gained wisdom and implemented it in my daily life, which made my ego grow stronger, because I am more wise than other people. Ha such stupidity.
    But than a time came where I was forced to surrender, because a big wave of anxiety, depression and depersonalisation overcame my becoming. And i realized, that the thought of "I" isn't different from the thought of "this banana is yellow". Every thought is happening. There is no thinker behind the thoughts. The thought "I am wise" has the same importance as "the sky is blue". We just identify ourselves with the first thought, and the latter one is just happening, which is in fact, stupid af. When we try to improve ourselves, we feel the way, that in our mind is an "I" which tries to improve the object of our thinking. Let me give an example: You are eating outside, the waiter brings your food and he says "Enjoy your meal" and you say "Thank you, you too" and than "you" realize what just happend and you think "How can you be so stupid, next time this won't happen!". This is in fact a dog chasing it's own tail. This is not you vs your doing. It is thought against thought. There is no I, I is just a construct of our mind which we identify with. A rigid form of thought.

    I felt like time went by very fast when I was listening to this wise person. After 37 minutes I thought that it couldn't be true she caught my attention for such a long time. Seeing this video a second time after some days to understand every detail I felt I could listen to this teacher for hours. I am sure the audience could have heard a needle falling to the ground during the short breaks she created to lend her spoken words the importance they deserve.

    We don't live on a planet we live on a living level stationary plane. A planet is a special kind of star and there are seven of them each represented as a day of the week. With the words of Earth around n get heart. The earth is the heart of the of the universe for which everything else is watching n moving around it. Conversely, move the words of 🎅 around and you get 😱🥶🥸🤪!

    That’s the way should be as human being. In my case, as I get older I have less compassionate, less understanding, less sympathy, less kindness, less giving…. Towards humans and I like that way. Most people do not deserve compassion, kindness, sympathy, understanding…I learned and experienced that less is better for humans.

    Sandpaper maybe but not an axe. Sometimes we have to safeguard ourselves from disruptive/dangerous behaviour. For many of us that is the learning. To stop catering for others' happiness at the cost of our wellbeing.

      I'm answering my own comment here. Right after I made the comment above she started to talk about the protectors! Incredible. That aspect of the buddhist teachings are much less well known. So many of us are in need of understanding and embodying that force which is so rarely referred to in comparison to loving kindness.

    Many precious things she is saying. But even though they are lovely, they may be discussed, right? It is great to learn stuff during our lives, I agree, but is it really helpful to emphasise that "we are here to learn"? We are not here for a reason. Is it really helpful to suggest that kindness is our deepest nature? Kindness is good, yes and pleasant. But is not anger just as deep a part of us? Could Buddha do nothing more for us than suggest to practice and practice? Or could he through his mere presence and example emanate a healing blessing? ❤

    • @Unstboy1
      @Unstboy1 Місяць тому

      The main idea l like from Tibetan Buddhism is that theres a way for anyone to make a start right now on a practice.However daft or bright people may be at the time.This probably goes through all Buddhism.As far as I'm aware now,a person who practices doesn't call it Buddhism.In Tibet it's more like a part of Thier culture. The West has to call what they practice something. Another ism. I only found that out my self a few years ago. No Buddhist asks another Buddhist about Buddhism.The English language again, not quite getting the translation correct.The bibile comes to mind.

    • @Xeno_G23
      @Xeno_G23 2 роки тому +1

      I think you're misinterpreting what she's trying to convey. When my child did something bad, I made him stood in the corner facing the wall and explaining the reason why it needed to happen. Also I think she's making a joke when she said that or at least the audience thought she was, as they laugh after she said it.

  • @connieketchum3090
    @connieketchum3090 6 років тому +1

    I did enjoy this presentation so well put but unfortunately was not happy about the remark about not being able to "smack" children in Australia. It appeared she might have agreed with the new law. That to me to smack a child is a violent act small as it might be.
