My 6-7 year old self would play it just to go through the castle and listen to the music. My favourite was always the one that starts at 5.20. Thanks for posting this up, brings back some good memories!
i have a midi of it and finaly went to see where it came from. "it was from a windows 3.11 game,. a maze with a castle, i think it was an rpg, you get asked questions"
All those sceneries was so intense to me. I was always afraid to which door "to choose?" What I gonna find in the next room. And these fellings made me keep playing.
This takes me right back to 1997. Loved this game back as a kid. You learned some things too as you played. Some real nice nostalgia right here. I miss the 90s so much.
You actually build your brain through this game ... Before wikipedia ,it was Collins, Britannica and this ... I miss not being so glued to my phone and search engines
5:19 QUESTION.MIDI - You know... since 1996, or whenever, this song has leaked into my head probably thousands of times. It's so nice to hear it again. I only played the game to listen to this song many times in my childhood. One day I shall learn to play it on the piano.
It seems like that particular song has affected everybody the same, haha. I extracted it several years ago and set it as a ringtone to my phone. I still migrate it over to any new phone I get. I just set it again as my ringtone recently 😂
The dungeon feel of the game made this game feel spooky, especially after I started clicking on characters and reading what they had to say about what had happened, getting locked in rooms because of a curse on the kingdom, and the player being a time traveler summoned to break the curse. King Miser The First, lol. Anyhoo, I think this is how I learned to love medieval music.
I love the fact the game was so unique I was able to find it by searching for "90s maze game medieval" god i love being able to search for things i played when i was younger because now i can acutally go through it with a better mind and enjoy its aged charm and ...midi music i believe? :) "betrayal in antara" was another one...i believe i found that by searching a character quote..."what am i using for brains" when you'd try and make them use something which they couldn't
Sometimes i know something surprising people and this theme plays behind somwhere deep inside me. This is the application changes my teenages good or bad way, idk
I loved this game. Am trying to find/download to enjoy again. I purchased a new laptop in 2006 and it wouldn't read Encarta. It's a shame this game and encyclopedia didn't survive. I thought both were great.
Remember my Dad finishing it together in front of our Dell 333 MHz machine (!) in the 90s. What a time, what memories. All these years later, this music brings me back. Simple MIDI notes in a minigame...more memorable than any score in a big box game title of today for me.
blast from the past.... those were better times..... happier times...
My papa had died and this felt so bittersweet to hear when nana gave us their pc

+Obsidian-Wolves Omg, i just posted my comment then saw yours, me too, lol! I can't put my finger on it, but it was my fav.

Same. Truly special memories.
All those sceneries was so intense to me. I was always afraid to which door "to choose?" What I gonna find in the next room. And these fellings made me keep playing.
Alisson Lares this music and the screenshots take me back to my nana’s computer in her condo in cincinnati, 1997
But yeah the art is neat

I'm so glad other kids loved this game as much as I did.
This music still does amazing things in my psyche... What an amazing game. :)

My favorite song was the one that starts at 5:20...something about it. I'm also a fan of the medieval sound in general.
Same here. Listening to this takes me back to a time of complete innocence
I've had that song in my head for twenty years
It sounds like something in Final Fantasy IX
That’s the only one I remembered from my childhood playing this game. It’s been stuck in my head since...1996. Wow.

First time seeing this after 20 yrs!! Man I feel old but so many memories. I used to love this game
Am I the only one who played this just clicking buttons hoping to get away from the Jester as fast as possible ?
Yes!!! I shouted so loud when I saw the jester that my parents rushed to me upstairs thinking that I was kidnapped or whatever, good old days
@@sagedubs9671 LOL
I was wondering who the jester in my dreams chilling these days is, he used to torment me and now I remember where he was from, what a blast
I was hooked on this game when I was 12! But I learnt a lot from Encarta and this game. Back in those days, there was no Wikipedia yet.

Any idea what the sheet music is?
@@LiquidTurbo sadly I do not. And I do not have the skill to transcribe it.

Wow. This takes me back. I used to play this all the time on Encarta 95. I remember getting to the steps at the end too.
I used to play this with my dad when I was 10-11 years old. It was so sweet and it was really difficult a game, but we would have so much fun!
haha when your research material had games in it! missed this!

I don’t think I even knew you could get that by clicking on the characters, wow.
Oh, the memories! Wow! Never knew majority of the answers, but it was still fun to play and guess!
I used to love Encarta!

I love all these music from mind maze I miss playing that game.
I used to play it (or at least try to) when I was 7. Brings back so many memories.
I wasn't sure this game even existed
Right? It is just a perfect surreal 90s memory. Memories like this make me un-ironically love vaporwave lol.
I love the fact the game was so unique I was able to find it by searching for

Where do I find this Encarta version?? Can I still download this?
Yeah, still recall this. Good times indeed.
This video brings me back to my childhood
I never played enough of this, but I remember liking it. Viva Encarta though!
This in Encarta 98, Battle for Wesnoth, Lbreakout, and MAME32 with most of the roms from 2002 ... first games I played. And they're still amazing.
Daym this brings back memories
Best pc game ever of that time..never forgotten it..best music.
I love the question period music. It's so earnest, you have to get it right!
Wow, back when I was a kid, I barely understood any English, but I was playing with MS Encarta for hours
Sometimes i know something surprising people and this theme plays behind somwhere deep inside me. This is the application changes my teenages good or bad way, idk

Play on hardest difficulty for 4x points without any noticeably harder questions.
Before Internet took over and ruined the world
can someone please make a trap song using QUESTION.MID
i used to play this game when i was 10 years old
Did anyone ever "finish" this
I did.
Antony D'Andrea i did... Back then many times. Love this game. And the music too.

Uh... Yeah. It wasn't hard.
Wow. Memories!
I used to play this in high school but was always short on time. I also wondered how to play it on W10.
Omg I've been trying to remember the name of this game!
INCREDIBLE CONTENT
OMG I miss game so much...saved me from countless hours of mind numbing boredom..really wish I cud figure out how to use it on my phone...🤔🤔🤨🤔
this vibe is amillion feet tall
Loved this game!! :)
you dont even know how long ive been trying to remember what this was, it scared me so much when i was younger omg
I don't know but this also creeped me out very much before too.
Any idea where I can play this again? Flash Player is over and I cannot run the Encarta games without Flash.
Guess everybody played this game as a kid, including me.
the memory's!!!
Anyone know where I could get a copy of Encarta just so that I can play this? Loved this game as a child playing on my cousin's computer.
I feel so old right now
I wasted too much time on this game. Oh wait, I loved it!!
I've never heard the tunes at 7:52, 8:02 or 8:13
Those last two were victory screens and the first was like the credits or so. Don’t quote me, but pretty sure.
Does anyone know the name of the composer?
if i m not mistaken this a bon jovi song on the lute, nah?
@@rachisluna hahahhaha
