It's very important all these nuances are documented. Aaron was a beacon of knowledge. Was truly dialled in when it came to lure control.

I've been on this bite for maybe ten or fifteen years. When I say match the hatch it's about matching the approximate size and prey. I do the same with my hard baits. It works for me. Glad you put this out for every one in the IA family. It wears me out hearing "they're not biting, how are you catching them?"

That’s what “match the hatch” literally means and it’s so simple. A lot of people get caught up in what’s in the magazines and commercials and pros who go hard on promoting the next new thing instead of learning to use tricks and techniques that work for your particular waters and what the fish are doing at the time. It takes some out of the box thinking and diy ingenuity sometimes. Modifying lures is fun too

Yes, some think it's to look just like the prey. For me it's all about the size.

I just got some 1/8 scrounger heads from Picasso. I got Amart on the package. I still watch him doin the hawg snatching, and his details are well worked out. you can tell the focus and control he had to figure out how the bites are happening, from where, and then he would execute what he just observed, and hook another one. Master of patterning bites.

Aron's Magic is still one of my favorite go-to color patterns for finesse fishing. Especially on drop shot, deadstick.

Thank you so much for that knowledge. I fish at a really pressured lake i think that is definitely gonna catch me some fish.

Aron Martens was so tuned in, he developed his own color pattern that eventually became an industry standard, like June bug or fire tiger. Anytime you see the term "Magic" in the name of a color pattern, It's because of his color pattern, and commercialized by ROBOWORM under the name "Aron's Magic".

That little fluke should be a killer for the saltwater, snook and other fish around lights at night when the glass minnows are around will only eat a little bait. It would be awesome for the flats too for trout and flounder. It could be a good trailer for little bucktails or spinner baits or chatterbaits too. I just moved to the VA Beach area and there's lots of fresh and saltwater fish that should bute those flukes. And I didn't know about them.
Have you tried the little Gulp minnows? They look similar but have scent. I didn't have any luck with them.

Randy just curious. I've noticed your channel is a bit more on the positive side lately, and the titles look less and less like clickbait.
Has this affected your views either way? I know that im more inclined to watch now, but the general youtube viewer may be different.

I'm not a believer in "match the hatch" there are millions of baitfish in a given lake. Why fish with something that's identical to the other millions of baitfish? Your odds of a fish hitting yours is slim.. I will say mimicking the color of the baitfish is a good idea, however i like to fish a bigger size to stand out from the crowd...and im a firm believer in big fish=big baits

Try them on a double fluke rig in a finesse setup (small line diameter, finesse spinning rod and spinning reel). 🎣🎣🎣
