      Thank you for watching, Tom! As another adventurer once said, "There's no river more delicious than the Devil's River." 😈😝😂 Have a great rest of the weekend! 👋

    Quite an adventure part 2 and it might not end there? Remote areas untouched by "Civilization" but someone had to know about it to name it "Dolan" Falls which makes me think there might be more to this story for some reason.... Great Video as usual too...

      Thanks for watching, QueensJack! Yes, this place isn't completely unvisited by people, but it's usually still isolated enough for a nice, solitary getaway in nature. Have a great rest of the week! 👋😎

    How is the river flowing this year? I've been wanting to go for a few years now. I'm going to purchase a sit on kayak first though. I would like to know. How would you get in touch with the owners around the river if you plan to do any camping? I don't know how to do that.

      Thanks for watching! It was a little low in some places; I had to get out of the kayak a couple of times, as you see in the video. It's definitely not for beginners, though, and there's no cellphone signal, so just keep that in mind. Ooof, I have no idea how to contact the property owners, but I hear they're not very friendly towards kayakers, so I'm not sure how productive that conversation would be. My starting point would probably to contact the Devil's River State Natural Area Headquarters at +1 830-395-2133 to ask them your questions. Hope this helps!

      @@beyond_civilization Thanks. If your want my opinion they ought to be friendly towards kayakers! That's how I would be if I did own some land out there. It always pays to be nice & courteous. That's what's wrong with the world today. People tend to forget that sort of thing.

    Are you able to get to that part by foot?

    • @beyond_civilization
      @beyond_civilization  Місяць тому

      Highly unlikely. I doubt the river itself would be shallow enough in some of the areas, and the banks are usually private property, so that's not an option either. Sorry!

      @@beyond_civilization so what would you recommend for a beginner who wants to get there?

    • @beyond_civilization
      @beyond_civilization  24 дні тому

      Oh, this is honestly not a great place for beginners. The river is strong, and if you fall down the waterfalls you are done. As a matter of fact, I had to get a permit just to kayak there, and inform the rangers where I would be in case something happened to me. Sorry. 😔 Visit this link for more info:
