They are a great truck. But do need maintenance, if you watch our videos the wheels always seem to come off mine lol

The steel skids are good but you need to cut the front one and let the stock plastic one do its job. Theres plenty of folks who have all said the same thing which is the front metal skid will bend and push and contort the rest of the RC around when you nose dive as the UDR is known for. The underneath protection is nice tho which is why i suggest cutting the front so you still have it protected under the front diff but so it's just the plastic skid going from under the diff up to the bumper so it can flex and do its job

I keep my UDRs mostly stock but I really recommend RPM front bumper. Broke three originals when nose diving. No more since upgrading to the rpm one. Stay away from unnecessary aluminium upgrades in places where you need flexibility. It only causes problems.
Agreed . We are not a big fan of loads of aluminium upgrades. They just add weight and potentially you end up breaking more expensive parts
Sway bars, upgrade them to thicker ones, HR makes some decent ones not too expensive. The OEM sway bars tend to break on the flat part of the metal bar.
Good advice - we have since upgraded the sway bars on both of our UDRs!

Hey great video! Where did you get the rear upper control arms? I just bent one of the stock ones and ive got replacements coming, but I really need some upgraded ones. Didn't wanna go straight to the traxxas upgraded ones because I feel like there may be better ones out there. Edit: After some looking, I found the Hot Racing ones that seem pretty good for half the price of the traxxas upgraded ones. Might get those and an upgraded rear driveshaft from them too.
It was so long ago it's hard to remember for sure - but they were GPM I think.
@TeamRC3D ok, thanks! The hot racing ones seem pretty good too. They don't have rod ends but they're 20 dollars less than the traxxas ones and then I'd also get the hot racing rear driveshaft and sway bars too.
Is it gonna die when I drive like submarine with no waterproofing work?
We steer clear of water . Even if the electrics are deemed as waterproof all the bearings , screws, pins will rust very very quickly and you will need to strip down!
Hey. I've done most of what you've done. I'm interested in the piece of rubber on the drive shaft joint. What does that do?

Hi. It is just a piece of heat shrink. All it does is protect that part from scratches. But does look quite nice and or course you can put a different colour on to make it stand out
Mam UDR a mam ho rád. Super RC auto. teraz mam problwm s otacanim kolies. Skoro sa neotacaju ked auto stoji alebo ide pomaly. Servo je v poriadku a ja netusim kde nam problem. Nevies mi poradit?🖖🏻
Translation: "I have UDR and I like him. Super RC car. now I have a problem with turning the wheels. They hardly turn when the car is stationary or running slowly. The servo is fine and I have no idea where the problem is. Can't advise me?"
It sounds like there is a problem in the steering mechanism - take it all apart and inspect everything. We did that in this video: ua-cam.com/video/LP94VT-8Zhg/v-deo.html
@@TeamRC3D I've done it three times before and I didn't find anything unusual. All parts move freely without resistance except servosavers. I will watch the video and if I did not know the inscription or the inscription that I corrected it. Thank you so far
On my UDR the servo saver was worn so much it wouldn’t steer. It was The two halves with that mate to make the servo saver link were worn so far that spring couldn’t hold them together anymore therefore losing steering motion at that point. Easy to miss as everything looks fine but once you move the tires while looking at it you’ll see what’s going on. I was able to modify it to make it tight again for a trackside fix but new is the way to go.
