Yes, I do currently practice modest living and prudent money management. My investments have increased by 43% over the past 19 months. But I'm nervous because I've lost money in the last month. I can't decide if I should sell everything now or wait.

It's important to speak with a financial counselor prior to making any decisions on investments.

Yes true, I learnt that in 2023, when I lost almost everything. But I switched to using a financial advisor and I've been returning at least $98k every month so I’ve been sticking to investing via an Advisor.

Hey Dan! Found your channel about 6 weeks ago, coming out of the worst long night of the soul I've ever experienced, but also the most transformative one. I know now what I am meant to be doing in this life, and I have to crawl out of a deep hole that I made for myself to be able to succeed. I'm pulling myself up, one inspirational video at a time, and you have become a HUGE part of my journey. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your wisdom with us, and I look forward to the process, as painful as it may be... thanks for being a guide, and here's to the glow up of a lifetime for us all!

First time I saw your content over a year ago, and back that day I thought: “What he is talking about, what universe he is living in?”. After months of investing my entire time in my health I saw a couple of other videos and that time I thought: “Okay, the guy knows something”. Now, year later I rarely can watch a video and reading “The art of focus” was a real struggle, because it was raising so much ideas that requires my conscious attention. It is necessary to draw all the connection between the separated dots that I have already learned during my life, digging into psychology, esoteric and experience.
One mistake that I regret: I am taking not enough notes of it, and some ideas and connections disappear. But I am still alive, so that’s not the end and more is coming. Thank you.

    Summary:
Dan Koe argues that traditional career paths often lead to dissatisfaction and financial strain. Instead, Dan proposes that creatives can achieve financial success and personal fulfilment by leveraging their skills and the power of the internet. Key points include:
    1. Critique of Traditional Paths:
    - High-paying careers often lead to debt and dissatisfaction.
    - Degrees don't guarantee income or happiness; personal skills and choices are crucial.
    2. Alternative Approach:
    - Creatives should monetize their interests and skills online.
    - Creativity involves solving new problems and avoiding repetitive tasks.
    3. Steps to Success:
    - Vision: Have a clear, evolving life and career vision.
    - Skill Stack: Develop key skills in marketing, sales, writing, and entrepreneurship.
    - Experimentation: Solve problems and create unique value through self-experimentation.
    - Value Creation: Make interests appealing and valuable to others.
    - Monetization: Sell knowledge through digital products, not just time.
    - Leverage: Use writing, promotion, and iteration to scale income.
    - Rest: Rest is crucial for maintaining creativity and generating ideas.
By focusing on these principles, creatives can achieve a successful and fulfilling career while working less.

I realized with this video how stubborn I am - and how much I have been distracting myself with busy ness - the illusion of being "productive" when I have not been. It has not been moving my needle towards my vision - most of it. How much my mind wants to keep pushing it into the future. I will keep watching, and this will click into my psyche and it will work...

Such clarity! Thanks for another enlightening lesson. I might not be your typical student, but I am an avid student at this point. Having built and sold a significant company over 20 years ago, I am not driven by the same vision I had when I was younger. At 79, the need is simply to apply myself to creative projects that continue to expand my mind. Building a one person $ million business is such a project. I need to see if I can/will do it. Keep teaching. I value your insights.

  • @connorhayes2711
    @connorhayes2711 5 місяців тому +2

Dan- I have known and resonated with what you are saying since I was in like, literally 6th grade, but on a much more abstract, intuitive kind of way- I don’t feel like I could have elucidated upon it in the way you have, it’s almost like once I have identified something as an objective truth, it turns into this mental ‘zip file’, to where I can access it and understand it in a few hundred milliseconds, but if I go to say it out loud, it’s the same disappointment of trying to tell someone about a dream you had- it seems impossible to convey the true power of it,
It would be exceptionally helpful to my life if you happen to see this comment and could help clear this up for me- if you have a product on the topic, I will likely buy it:
I can only imagine that at one point, your understanding was as abstract as mine, and you figured out how to translate down into regular words in just the most perfect, easy to digest way - can you share any insight on your process for this? do you do this simply via writing it first? It doesn’t sound or feel as though you are reading a script, but maybe just doing the writing process unpacks the ‘mental zip file’ in a certain way?
If I sit down and write, it takes a good deal of time and brain power, and usually I have to even come back to it the next day, but I can eventually translate even the most abstract concept down to plain English, BUT, if I were to just get put on the spot about it, I would sound like a dumb-ass even when I actually do have an extremely deep understanding of the topic, complete with supporting evidence, anecdotes, and other real-world ‘proof’
Anything you can share on the matter would be appreciated

But in all this time, learning, thinking, changing my views, reaching deeper understandings about the world, noone had a bigger impact on me then you.
And you even needed much less time to actually teach me valuable knowledge, thougths, ideas and understandings about how the human mind works, then literally anyone else I have ever met.
So again, thank you for the life paths you have chosen and the knowldge you pass down, bc without them, my owne life wouldnt have changed to the better so soon.

Dan , I have been a value creator not an influencer as a health coach for the last 3 years . i am 120% agree to your core value and I found your content helped me to go through the darkest time of self-doubt when my creator career hit a huge wall. thank you for 1 million times . just out of curiosity : when you record those long videos , do you write the whole script or just key points ? because you made it look so nature . i have to write the entire script if I have to talk so long .

I’m 17 year old . I just completed my senior hs final 1 month ago and within 2 days I was overwhelmed by the feeling about what to do in future. I was almost depressed through my junior and senior year . Now I am trapped. I am taking medical class for entrance because I thought it’s only path where I don’t need to decide anything just following everyone and now that’s fears me the most . I have national astronomy Olympiad in 2 weeks which I am not prepared becoz I have to take classes which I am sure I will not get into through my lifestyle and I am also planning to take MEXT scholarship as again new escape . Now they all have collide . Within 3 month I have to do everything and I know I can’t escape failure but my mind is just not taking it and try to unsee. I am getting fatter every month . Now I am in hostel with 2 unknown people , I am introvert and I read aloud to understand but I can do that anymore. I am drowning day by day hoping to change but my days just cycles going class and coming back alone every day.

How do you know when an idea is ready to be unleashed? I'm sure you have a video on this that I need to find-if so, just drop a link, and I'll go watch. Recently, I made a big transition to embrace much of what you speak about in your videos (even before I discovered them). In fact, this is only the second time in my life that I've commented on UA-cam. I find myself in a state of paralysis, thinking my content could always be better or worrying that there may be inaccuracies I'm not seeing... and honestly, there's a whole list of other thoughts that give me cause to pause.

In India, people are taught that if you obtain a degree through rote learning, then you can pursue any job or business afterward. I feel that in this society, receiving this type of high-quality education is a blessing.
