- It has been called Candlestick Park, 3Com Park, Monster Park, and San Francisco Stadium at Candlestick Point, but soon it will be called rubble, scrap metal, and a demolition site.
Many have made countless trips to see the 49ers or Giants, and created a lifetime of sports memories in the stands, but you can’t possibly see Candlestick Park the same way as the people that have spent their lives maintaining it. Until now.

We will forever miss The Stick! Super thankful we got to record a bunch of stuff there before it was gone.
I really wish they would have kept that old scoreboard and sent it to AT&T. MIssed opportunity...

I went on the last tour they had of Candlestick Park. Before they closed it down for good, & they tore it down. It was so freaking awesome, & something that I will treasure for the rest of my life!

In the past 10 to 12 years the NFL Stadiums that have been built have been Fabulous. I have often said that the 5 time super bowl champion 49ers deserved a awesome Stadium. They did not get it in Levi's, there is nothing like that Stadium in all of the NFL, its Ugly.
@@hadlee189 i agree, candlestick was just perfect somehow, nothing could replace it. i dont like levis that much and idk why, i have even been there and didnt even go to candlestick.
All the new stadiums are including hockey arenas as well. They're all built the same no personality in Buffalo here we played at the same stadium since 1973 we keep the stadium updated every year there's no need for all these new stadiums.
Levi's Stadium will become the official home of the San Francisco 49ers ONLY WHEN we win playoff games there. Candlestick was our home because it was full of historic moments and memories. Levi's Stadium hasn't hosted any BIG 49er victories. It may be our house but it's not our home... yet.

My home city has had a stadium since year 2000 and we have yet to win a playoff game in it. It’s now 2021. Can you imagine.

The niners NEVER should have left candlestick. Just like the yankees should never have built Yankee Stadium 2. The original yankee stadium was more iconic than both wrigley and fenway. 26 world series won in that span of 85 years.
The "renovated" Yankee Stadium was really basically a new stadium built inside the shell of the old stadium--much like the "renovated" Soldier Field is today.

They always ruin a good thing they could have rebuilt it. They blamed it for wind and look where they put the new one right on the water. Just BS somebody got money out of this deal.

My god everyone - candlestick was a dump. It was windy and cold and who wanted to watch everything wrapped up in a blanket? It was ok for football. If anything they should have built a domed stadium at the old candlestick location.
It was perfect for football. I loved it there. With that being said. A new stadium should have been built on that site.
