Love Tim’s low notes and also Chance’s smooth verses. But it’s the extras: Rob’s harmonies; Austin’s “train whistle”; and especially Adam’s instrumentation that catch my ear on repeat listening. [Yea!! - harmonica sound]
To your average Home Fry, Adam is the beatboxer, while Chance is the bari. While it's true that Chance's first name is Adam, nobody (at least on UA-cam) calls him that, to distinguish him from Adam Rupp.
Most people usually miss that it's not just Adam Rupp that is chugging along. The whole set of backing vocals are stylistically simulating train sounds. The Clickety Clack of the track, Train Whistles and Horns, Steam Locomotive sounds and more.
hey brother, this is also a favorite of mine....you may be interested in the new song that Home Free dropped today, a cover of the Dixie Chicks "Traveling Soldier"...it's a beautiful song, & those Home Free harmonies are there...if you want to hear gorgeous harmony of Chance (baritone) & Austin it's there...we need to get them doing more harmonies together, it's really earcandy !!
Great reaction thank you. These guys are amazing. You might want to try...Helplessly Hoping...What We Ain't Got...Blue Ain't Your Color...or...Feelin It..., just a few to check out.
Hahaha loved your reaction and I subscribed. Yes, you’re one of the few who really emphasized Tim’s low notes in this song. Goodness, he goes low. Chance (we fans call him Chance so as not to confuse him with Adam, the beatboxer) did a great job. Loved Austin’s “o, o” sounds that sounded like a train. We think Tim did the crime, Adam belongs in the insane asylum and the others were accomplices! Ha! And don’t pay attention to the height charts. They’re all wrong. If you want to hear Tim go really low try Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens. (Peter is another amazing ‘a cappella’ singer). The song is from the Hobbit and they are great in it. Also to hear more Chance try I Can’t Outrun You, Yours, Helplessly Hoping. Tremendous songs. Have a great weekend!
one more thing to remember is that the Johnny Cash version of this is much faster than the HF cover and I think because of that Tim was able to do a smoother and deeper note
Here's a funJohnny Cash fact. A Boy named sue was not written by Johnny Cash but by Shel Silverstein who was an artist for Playboy, Songwritter, and a children.s author who wrote: "Where the Sidewalk Ends."
Glad you came back to Home Free, and I hope you continue to react to them. They have a large catalogue to choose from, and probably have a song to match your mood. FYI Adam the baritone is known as Chance, so he's not confused with Adam the beatboxer.
A Few Home Free "Must See's" (hint you'll want your camera rolling for first reaction to any of these) An Awesome example of an A Capella break in an A CAPELLA song is "Restless Heart - Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right) (Home Free Cover)" An example of the sequel actually matching the original for awesome." Home Free - God Bless the U.S.A. (featuring Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band)" Avi and Tim double covering the bass resonsibilities. "Home Free - Ring of Fire (featuring Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix) [Johnny Cash Cover]" "Long Black Train - Chris Rupp ft Tim Foust - A Capella (Official Video)" Chris Rupp is a founding member of Home Free and they still have an awesome working relationship.
Great reaction - and I love the fact that you understand the true baritone part! As someone who sings barbershop, I completely agree with you. And Chance has a voice that allows him to take over the bass when Tim decides to use his 5 octave range to sing a lead part. I'd love for you to react to Take Me Home, Country Roads, In the Blood, Hillbilly Bone, and Meet in the Middle. And as others have mentioned, they dropped a new song yesterday that is gorgeous - and emotional. Just subscribed!
Great Reaction!! Did you catch the height chart? They’re all at least 6ft! HF are very talented & creative!! Since your a heavy metal fan check out “Thunderstruck “ by Two Cellos! Starts traditional & then flips over!!
Thanks for the insightful Home Free reaction, along with knowing their names and voice types already! As soon as you enthusiastically rewound Tim's "blow my blues away," I rejoiced with a big Subscribe button push 😁🥳 (you could've done that 5 more times and I'd have been OK with that 😜) Please continue your journey with Home Free... we need more reactors like you! ❤
Tim just bests himself over and over. Check out him singing in Misty Mountain with Peter Hollins. Just incredible. More Home Free, their songs are amazing. They funny too. Check out The Butts Remix, Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget. And their Christmas songs. Awesome Full of Cheer and Cold Hard Cash. Plus Grandma got Runover By A Reindeer. Can we appreciate Adam sounding just like a gun cocking.
I was gonna have to tell on myself also. In his running commentary, he said "Adam's just killing it...his baritone really comes through and sounds fantastic" and I went "Wait! What? Adam's a tenor and how can he tell anyway? He's been beatboxing this whole time, for crying out loud!" And then my brain caught up with my ears. My bad, LOL!
If you like the bass singers(and who doesn't) check out the great gospel basses. There's George Younce of the Cathedrals, Tim Riley from the 1980's Gold City, JD Sumner of the Stamps (and background singer for Elvis), and Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys (formerly with the Stamps and also sang background for Elvis).
Fun fact: The gun click sound - Adam said he wasn't going to try and make it with his mouth so he used his actual gun to make it. Go back n check it out lol
Did you notice the height chart behind each one? They are all about 6 ft tall. I don't know if there's a meaning. Check it out. Tim has been known to blow out sound systems. Seriously.
Where does one acquire orange prison jump suits to make a video?? Adam looks rather ragged, like prison life isn't quite agreeing with him. In fact he looks like they fished him out of the psyche ward just for this. LOL
So strange with a baritone voice in a group. They never seem to get any love because the are often background. But the foundation that they build holds everyone together. What a hole they leave if they are absent!
Not yet ... Not yet. When a Reactor does that one too soon you can ALWAYS tell. Yes, Mayday is an absolute favorite of ours (the Home Fries), but we want to see THEIR jaws dropping, just like ours did, the first time WE heard it. I've unsubscribed from Reactors before, because they tried to 'fake' it when they did the song too soon. He's already got their names down, and has a good 'feel' to what their voices contribute to the group as a whole (quite impressed with that, I've got to admit!!), but give him just a bit more time and a few more songs ....
Great reaction man, just subscribed! Haven't heard this song before, thanks for sharing. Would love to see your reaction to the song Heavydirtysoul by twenty one pilots
Hi I'm a new subscriber here I would like to 4th impact they are a group of 4 sisters from the Philippines. You should react to there cover of (Leave the door open ) to start with.
Helplessly hoping for wonderful.harmonies
My favorite the only thing I can say is that I wish it was about 2 minutes longer
Chance also starts off the Sea Shanty Medley...
Love Tim’s low notes and also Chance’s smooth verses. But it’s the extras: Rob’s harmonies; Austin’s “train whistle”; and especially Adam’s instrumentation that catch my ear on repeat listening. [Yea!! - harmonica sound]
Plus the “oowoo”s help the train sounds to me.
how 'bout that shotgun!

How about a FUN ONE ??????? “THE BUTTS REMIX MEDELY”.......it’s a real Hoot 🙃😳🤪. Need a laugh, but, Great singing 💖🙃‼️
"Baritones don't get the respect they deserve."
BIG FACTS.
takes real musical knowlege to appreciate Home Free!
hey brother, this is also a favorite of mine....you may be interested in the new song that Home Free dropped today, a cover of the Dixie Chicks "Traveling Soldier"...it's a beautiful song, & those Home Free harmonies are there...if you want to hear gorgeous harmony of Chance (baritone) & Austin it's there...we need to get them doing more harmonies together, it's really earcandy !!
how low can you go?
Tim: Yes
So low, that you would stumble over that bass 😂😂😂
Tim says- Yep, that far!😀🍟
Great reaction thank you. These guys are amazing. You might want to try...Helplessly Hoping...What We Ain't Got...Blue Ain't Your Color...or...Feelin It..., just a few to check out.
Your review of this made me subscribe to your channel. Thank you for being the first person I’ve heard not talk through the whole thing
Another great cover to listen to would be "How Great Thou Art"
I’d like to hear Elvira feat. Oak Ridge Boys. It’s so fun.
Love the Home Free guys! You've already been given a lot of good recommendations but Helplessly Hoping is my favorite so I am going to repeat it again
They are my new obsession. ❤️

Home free is amazing...all the members are phenomenal...
The beat boxer is unbelievably amazing!
Did you notice on that last drop note the smile? Tim the fire breathing dragon! Awesome reaction! Thank you!🔥🍟
Adam Chance's voice is like velvet ❤
Here's a funJohnny Cash fact. A Boy named sue was not written by Johnny Cash but by Shel Silverstein who was an artist for Playboy, Songwritter, and a children.s author who wrote: "Where the Sidewalk Ends."
Don't forget that this is during pandemic when they were spread across the country.
Tim so awesome as usual! His bass actually shakes you.And how about that beatboxing?! The train sounds and everything...
Great reaction! Another Homefree homerun!! Thank you for your reaction!
Love Home Free!!❤
Glad you came back to Home Free, and I hope you continue to react to them. They have a large catalogue to choose from, and probably have a song to match your mood. FYI Adam the baritone is known as Chance, so he's not confused with Adam the beatboxer.
Cover me up by Adam chance is what your looking for!!!
one of my all time favorites of home free: elvira! sung with the oak ridge boys (original artist)
Metal Guy - I like your reactions to Home Free. Your comments are short and to the point. Thank you.
Probably not the most popular choice, but my favorite song by Home Free is their cover of In the Blood (John Mayer). It just hits me.
A Few Home Free "Must See's" (hint you'll want your camera rolling for first reaction to any of these)
An Awesome example of an A Capella break in an A CAPELLA song is "Restless Heart - Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right) (Home Free Cover)"
An example of the sequel actually matching the original for awesome." Home Free - God Bless the U.S.A. (featuring Lee Greenwood and The United States Air Force Band)"
Avi and Tim double covering the bass resonsibilities. "Home Free - Ring of Fire (featuring Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix) [Johnny Cash Cover]"

"Boat Horn Low"😂😂😂 sub-woofer low for sure‼️. New to your channel and am enjoying your reactions✌️🦋
Thank you Harriet! So glad to have you watching!
Adam is just plain 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is one of my favourires they've done!
a good one to hear Chance would be "Yours"
Check out the Drum Solo by Adam Rupp.
Love this!!! Holy bass!!!!!
Cover Me Up, for sure! Thanks!
Adam Chance, the singer, lead on this one, is referred to as Chance - to distinguish him from Adam Rupp the beatboxer.
do mayday by home free. it REALLY shows off tim's upper range.
Wait on Mayday, please. There are a couple of jaw-dropping moments that you'll miss if you do it too soon. It's worth the wait, believe me!!
Yes wait for a bit for Mayday. It's amazing but you really need to understand the group to get the 'what the *!# moments'.
You need to hear their cover off Elvira. (Collaboration with the Oak Ridge Boys.)
You gotta watch the Mayday cover by home free. I’m pretty sure It’ll blow your mind.
Patience ... Not yet. Let him get several more of their songs under his belt first .....
This song is all about that bass
LOL ... That's another great 'funny' video they do ....
Tim just bests himself over and over. Check out him singing in Misty Mountain with Peter Hollins. Just incredible. More Home Free, their songs are amazing. They funny too. I was a little confused as to me "Adam" means the beatboxer. Got so used to calling Adam Chance by his last name that I said "huh?" at first.
Chance is actually his middle name 😉
@@Ingrid_Haendel Why do a few people keep saying this?
@@petuniasevan Quite a few think this is his last name, but his complete name is actually Adam Chance Ray 😃
@@Ingrid_Haendel I didn’t know that!
I was gonna have to tell on myself also. In his running commentary, he said "Adam's just killing it...his baritone really comes through and sounds fantastic" and I went "Wait! What? Adam's a tenor and how can he tell anyway? He's been beatboxing this whole time, for crying out loud!"

Holy Shhhnikies... pretty sure that's my new favorite saying! ✌💚🌻

Home Free is the greatest group of all time!
Tim has a 5+ octave range. Tim also writes music as well
Tim writes great songs . . . So do Geoff and Avi. Would love to see the three of them collaborate!
LOL .. they'd bring down the house. Literally ....
You haven't listened to home frees version of when a man loves a woman!!!???? Oh please lend an ear... And headphones with it.
Imagine having to sing Austin’s part.
Seriously.
❤ I miss your reactions ‼️‼️😕🤗❤
May Day shows Chance’s bass capabilities! Check out American Pie with Don McLean.
I would never have forgiven you if you hadn't replayed Tim's lowest part :-)
Pick any HF song you want, except Mayday (you're not ready for that yet), and react to it. Everything they do is a homerun.
❤❤❤❤❤
Where does one acquire orange prison jump suits to make a video?? Adam looks rather ragged, like prison life isn't quite agreeing with him. In fact he looks like they fished him out of the psyche ward just for this. LOL
Speaking of song writing, check out Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget. Tim wrote it. And Mayday. Adam Chance get to shine.
Don't forget Good Old Harmony, also Tim, and California Country and Cold Hard Cash by Austin.
So strange with a baritone voice in a group. They never seem to get any love because the are often background. But the foundation that they build holds everyone together. What a hole they leave if they are absent!
BRAND NEW VIDEO: Can you react to Home Free - Travelin’ Soldier

Hi I'm a new subscriber here I would like to 4th impact they are a group of 4 sisters from the Philippines. You should react to there cover of (Leave the door open ) to start with.
No one has commented on the improbable heights.
pls react to Maneskin "zitti e buoni" on eurovision
You need to react to Miley Cyrus - Zombie cover 🤌🏽
I see you don't have any reactions to Voctave 🤔
please react to 97 bonnie and Clyde and kim togather
I love Home Free, but this one doesn’t do it for me. I think they totally missed the intent and meaning of this song.
